Didn't I read somewhere there was an autopilot switch if you didn't want to actively participate? Or did I hallucinate that...
I'm trying to think, and I can't recall another ride in all of Disney where the people you're sharing the experience with have a direct impact on what your experience actually is. Can anybody think of one?
for the gunners there are at least -
I thought there was suppose to be a system for building credits throughout the land?
I'm really sad that we are even having a discussion about the possibilty of grown adults fighting over seating position in a theme park ride. I know there are some die hard fans out there, but in the end, it is just a ride. It is pretend and I don't understand why we can't have fun with it for what it is and behave like mature people.
That's the part I'm missing. How are these credits applied and where is the interactivity at say, Olga's?
you get a rating after your run on the Falcon and are told what your payment is (what you brought back - damage to the Falcon) and that stays with your account (accessed via your phone or magic band or *something*) and CMs that can access that can reference that (so in the shops, etc.) so if your score is high they can be "wow, word of your piloting is getting around" or something like that
At least this is my understanding
That hasn't been seen as much yet. I think the media didn't get that aspect as much because it was more about getting the content and trying everything. That's the part I'm missing. How are these credits applied and where is the interactivity at say, Olga's?

At least one of the reviews I read said the ride’s best when there’s lots of good-natured yelling at the other roles (yelling at pilots for causing damage, yelling at engineers for not fixing the damage...)I truly believe (or at least hope) any disagreements/arguments will be few and far between
I think it is just when people wait 2+ hours for an experience (after waiting 40 years before that) to then not get to experience it as they want, I can see it makeing people less than thrilled. And I think it is ok to be a little upset - but there is obviously a big different between being being "a bit bummed" and "fighting/causing a ruckus" over it
So if you do crash or blow up right away, is that game over for everyone?

OP here, the wierd thought of adults literally fighting over this just popped into my head, maybe based on stories of people fighting or yelling at each other over parade or firework spots. This is a new level, mainly based that wait times are dong to be insane where there is no do-overs . Also the fact that here you have a ride where more adults have a deeper connection than maybe kids (the generational thing) .. Just assuming all this.. but even in my case I would not trade the pilot seat even with my own kids!! I love the orginal SWs and to pilot the Millennium Falcon is a -long dream for many adults.
So from the videos I watched, everyone is in the cockpit together?
That's doubly lame especially considering the gunner position, I thought would be you know in it's own area, like it is in the real Falcon.
The reviews I read said the engineers have the best view so if you are more of a person who wants to absorb the ride, that is the position to do it inThis was actually my first thought when I saw that there were six positions on the ride and they weren't equal - "How are they going to deal with this? Nobody's going to want to sit in the back. Everybody's going to want to pilot the Falcon." I can see a lot of arguing and tempers flaring regarding this. This might end up being the ride no cast member wants to work at!
