@YawningDodo I feel your pain on the shoes. I will say i am in a slightly better position since they started making shoes in women's size 12 which was not the case 20 years ago when i was in high school running. I need a women's 12 or a men's 10. The men's shoe is always too wide. I can almost get away with a women's narrow. I am so thankful I can now find women's size 12, though only at specialty running stores. I walk out if they don't have large women's shoes. I will say my trail shoe is a men's and i was very concerned about it but it was fine.
