TS Resturaunt Coming to All Stars

Sorry for this tangent (sort of)..

Do we think WDW believes they are leaving money on the table by having a value class?

Is this the "correction"? Putting in a table service, bringing Gondola access, remodel of rooms? Will they put in better amenities/improve existing?

Or is this just elevating the Value class, just not to Mod level....

Or is this simply putting in a buffet because they think they are losing money from Value guests shooting over to the Golden Corral outside the gates?

Slow day at the office...... :)

Well, there have been thoughts/indications they are going to get rid of the Deluxe/Mod/Value concept all together so that they can have a wider variety of pricing - so you will have gondola resorts, monorail resorts, etc.

And I think it is because they want to charge more for them without people saying "hey, you are charging the same for hotel X (which is a "value") as you are for hotel Y (which is a "Mod")" - now it won't matter

And I think it gives each area something unique and different - especially compared to off site locations. Let's say this is a character buffet - isn't that now a selling point to people to say "yeah, this room is $150/night vs $75/night you can get off site, but that doesn't have a character meal location on site like the All Stars do"

to make a long story short - I think they want to add "things" to help justify increasing the cost of what are today considered "values"

I think/know plenty of "Value" guests have money to spend above a food court. And certainly some are saving every penny and will not "choose" to go to the sit down.

There is general sticker shock when newbs plan a WDW vacation. Many have no idea if they will even like WDW, so why go all in out of the gate.

Often the first try is Value, partly because its "just a place to sleep" those early commando trips. Doesn't always mean they don't have money to spend.

Some probably say lets stay cheaper, and use the savings toward better dining.
