Boy, I hope everyone didn't take my earlier comments the wrong way. No, I don't celebrate Christmas. But I don't mind a few Christmas things cuz we still get invited to parties and have friends that do celebrate it. I just wanted to point out that it would be good not to have everyone make Christmas pieces.

(In my experience, most people think only of Christmas for winter holidays. I guess it's because retail starts decorating for it in July. It's a shame how commercial such a beautiful holiday has become. I hope I haven't offended anyone.)

Robin, you did not offend me at all! I appreciate that you opened my eyes to realize there are some differences. I would just like to make something that everyone could use. You know something that would cover all the December holidays. I totally agree with you about the commercialism of it all. It's really sad!

Robin , you did not offend me . Someone asked me about Zwanza . Even though I don't celebrate it I appreciate the fact that they considered me . I would hate to think that I didn't have that same consideration for someone else . That's why I asked when we first started what type of swap everyone would be interested in . I wanted to be sure that people would feel comfortable joining in . These swaps have been so much fun , I hope that we continue to share the differences that make each one of us unique.

Well.... I've ordered my winter fiber (of course I accidentally also ordered holiday fiber, but that's a whole other story.... lets just say, I have A LOT of fiber coming. ) I just want to say that I must have been insane to sign up for squares! On the other hand, I have 11 complete sets done.... and then 7 sets that I need to make one more for... so that's another 7 squares I have to make which makes 18 complete sets plus the last set to catch up with all the sign ups. (glad I ordered 25yrds of fibers, in both groups by accident... told ya I had a lot of fiber coming. ) maggie

OK, y'all! I need suggestions for winter eyelets. I've been looking, and all I can find are snowflakes . . . different kinds of snowflakes . . . but still, all snowflakes (without getting into holiday stuff). I didn't figure you all would want 16 snowflakes (8 from me and 8 from my winter eyelet buddy, Jamie), so I need suggestions. What else fits the winter theme?

Nicurn do you have a square maker ? I finished my squares , just have to tape them down. Now my tags are what's killing me. I broke the blade on my swivel knife , so they will take longer than I planned because I have to find replacement blades. Not to mention the fact that I'm out of adhesive and have way to many swap items to complete. This swap will be a lot of work, but I think the results will be awesome. I'm nosy , what kind of holiday fiber did you get ? And where are you getting all this great stuff ?

inky dinky doo I saw christmas tree and angel eyelets at www.lifetimemoments.com . They also have gift boxes ( I know that's not really winter , but the trees could represent the forest trees ) Maybe you might see something there you like . Spinning has been buying a lot of eyelets lately. Hey Spinning what's your resource ?

I used it for the Disney Character swap - and one edge kept not cutting clean - I treid tin foil - wax paper - all the tricks -
Finally I just bough thte square die cut for the sizzix (4 sizes on one die) and I can't wait to use it -
when is the next swap - lol
