The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 2

Well, that's all my play time for now - my p3 is over. Got to go prepare for (drumroll please)...another meeting!

Have a good Thursday, DDA! :flower3:

Well, I guess I had better get up and get this day started. I've been so tired the last couple of days that I go back to bed for a couple of hours after taking Phil to work. Hopefully today will be better.

Have a great day everyone!!

Not strange at all. My sister works as a baker in a dinner and her meals are free, but a lot of times she chooses not eat at work.

You'd be surprised at how many nights I opt to not eat at work (even with the amazingly low employee pricing) and come home to make myself a meal. Ok, you can all think I'm strange now ;)

I saw this, too! We might see the days of milestones coming to an end.

Instead of milestones, we can count how many max length threads we can have each week and like Theresa said who reaches the max and gets to start the new one.

Jennifer - I hope to hear that you got more sleep last night.

 I did! I got about 5 hours, with only waking up 2 times for very brief periods! You'd think I got 8-10 hours of good sleep, with the difference it made! :teeth:

Of course, today I broke my "streak" of not vomiting at work... I'm pushing 4 times, and I threw up the Zofran I tried to sneak in so I'm wondering if it will work at all. I guess today might be as good a day as any to break the news, before I get "caught" in a not-as-fun way!

I got a humidifier for my room tonight too, so hopefully I can keep on with the Tylenol, fluids, etc (if I can keep them down) and kick this stupid cold/whatever sooner than later, too! I'm supposed to be feeling great now! ;)

Are you guys expecting storms again this weekend?

I definitely agree that there are other thing we could "celebrate", and if it makes the boards ANY better I personally would be up for it!

Tammi - I am Mickey Mouse, too.

I have been trying to decide what to do for DS's birthday since he is being so weird about it. I woke up this morning to a commercial on the radio about Great Wolf Lodge. It has just opened. I started thinking about maybe getting a room and letting DS invite some friends to sleep over. So I went to the website and decided NOT!:scared1:

Their $199 "grand opening" rate is only for the middle of the week. Weekends are $239. Rooms that sleep 6 are assigned a "base" occupancy of 4, and you pay $30 each for every person (Child or adult) over the base. The water park passes are included, but they don't offer any sort of breakfast. The onsite buffet doesn't list prices so I bet it is scary. I have decided that even to just take ONE friend to Great Wolf would set us back much worse than taking 3 friends to dinner and a movie. So we're back where we started.

We have a GWL here in VA and it is VERY expensive. Nothing else is included. Good luck with figuring something out.

How accurate is accuweather.com? Any other sites you all seasoned travelers us? I know you've talked about them but I can't remember what they are. Thanks!

I didn't mention it to DS because I had a feeling it would be too pricey. My aunt took my cousin's DD to one somewhere near Kansas City and they had a good time, but I don't think this is the solution for us this year. Even when the rates drop at the end of March it is still $169 per night and that's for like Tuesday night. Weekends are MUCH higher, and it says a minimum of 2 nights may be required at certain times. No thanks!

I like www.wftv.com or www.wesh.com but the forecasts are only 5 days. AccuWeather and Weather.com give longer ranges, but they usually don't agree with each other. I haven't ever managed to work out if one is more accurate than the other.:confused3

I'm Mickey Mouse too.

Me three. ;) I was beginning to think that was the standard response until I saw Terry got Cinderella. Guess she's the only royalty amongst us! ;)

I find accuweather to be pretty good, Robyn. I also check the local stations as we get closer - www.wesh.com and www.wftv.com. Weather.com is another one, but I generally find they're a bit more "off" than the others.
