Good sleepy morning! :sunny:

Pinch...OWW!!!

Pinch...OWW!!!

Pinch...OWW!!!

Trying to wake myself up. I think DS went to bed at 4:30.pirate: My laptop screen wasn't on screensaver yet. ;) I think we'll wake him up THIS MORNING. :teeth: And...I went to bed at 11:30 cause I was asleep in the chair the rest of the time!

Thot...that was sooo THOUGHTFUL of you DF to warn you. Glad you weren't in that mess!!! (Sorry for the bad pun. :duck:) And I agree. It's a sign. :cool2:

Froggy...I did see the update but didn't say anything. We're so glad of the good news. And thanks for coming over here to tell us.

And I have no idea why, but today feels like SATURDAY to me!!!:scared1: Maybe it's wishful thinking...I don't want to be 13 days from my trip...I want to be 12 days away!!!:lmao:

GOOD MORNING!

Hmm What to say about today. Well I'm not studying! :lmao: I'm food shopping this morning for foodstuffs that I will want to take back. I have no idea what food I want to take back. :rotfl: Next time we are just gonna make a list of food I NORMALLY buy because I'm far too lasy to think of anything else. At least that way my parents don't need to ask me what I want to buy each week. :lmao:

How Ironic that when I DO go back I'll probably be talking MORE here. :lmao: Oh well. But anyway, I need to go, so see you later. :wave2: I think I'll be :surfweb: later because by the time I get back I won't want to work. :lmao:

:lmao: Awww.

My girls can trash a bathroom in under 5 minutes. I swear they don't know how to hang up towels, but brushes and hair appliances away, hang up towels or get things into the garbage cans. I can't wait to see what my house will look like in April!

Been there done that. One of the perks of having older kids is I can go to bed when I feel like it. No one really needs me, they just think they do.

That is why Moms need a vacation from vacation. My DH always says he wants to go camping for a week. He can't understand why I don't think that would be a vacation. I try to explain that while camping I'll still be cooking, picking up, making beds, etc. How he thinks that would be a vacation for me is beyond me.

I walked into the kitchen this morning, and not only were DSs shoes in the middle of the floor, so was the shirt he wore yesterday! In the middle of the kitchen floor....that's not even trying.:headache:

And Nancy, I'm the same way about camping..it's actually MORE work because you're doing all of that stuff with equipment that isn't nearly as convenient. I think you have to really love it...not for me. I used to work with someone who said she camps at the Hilton...............more my style!:thumbsup2

That's great Frog, thanks for coming over to tell us to look for it!:goodvibes

Oh, I know I'm blessed, I really do, but it's hard to leave the warmth of family and friends and take up the daily struggle again. My hero is Dory: 'Just keep swimming, just keep swimming ...' :thumbsup2 And thanks for the good wishes!!

A funny thing about our departure: we had been planning on leaving my DF's in Bradenton about 4pm and driving to Orlando to catch our flight scheduled for 8:25 pm. The kids and my DF had been at the pool and came back about 2pm saying that a lady there had told them that there was a dreadful accident on I4. We checked it out, and great heavens, there had been a horrible pileup with fatalities due to low visibility because of a brush fire and I4 wasn't expected to reopen until the next day.

We packed in record time while my sweet DF made us sandwiches for the car and leapt into the car at 2:30 pm with the plan to take a longer route via back roads. We made it in plenty of time and ended up having a relaxed and comfortable trip back.

The funny part: we've been there for 5 family vacations and 1 trip for just my DH and me over the last years. Of those 6 trips, we have had four departures disrupted for weird reasons: two hurricanes, one flight that was delayed for 16 hours, and now the highway closing. It's obvious what's going on here, right?

We're meant to stay!! Someone up there is sending us a clear message, and we're too dense to get it: 'Hey, where are you going? Stick around!' I swear, if this happens one more time, I'm putting down the suitcase and picking up the Help Wanted section!!

And after you get that job, we'll come see you! :yay: That fire made the lead story on the Today show....so glad you missed it!

And I have no idea why, but today feels like SATURDAY to me!!!:scared1: Maybe it's wishful thinking...I don't want to be 13 days from my trip...I want to be 12 days away!!!:lmao:

12 would be good, but 13 is not bad either!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Matt, you should keep your shopping list on your computer. Then you can just print it and go...not have to try to remember each time. That's what I do for packing for the kids. I keep a list for packing for the beach. They pretty much need the same stuff each time. If I need to change it I do, then print but don't save. It still gives me a starting point and I don't forget anything.

Well, the storms died off before they came to us last night...thank goodness. We got the rain but none of the "excitement.":)

13 = unlucky number...but I don't really care. ;)

I camp at Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, and the Contemporary. ;) :lmao: I DON'T LIKE TO COOK. So I would NOT like camping. And my first/only camping experience WAS NOT GOOD! That was enough for me!

Well, today it's your LUCKY number!:cool1:

Yep, Homewood, Contemporary, Hampton, Drury, Marriott...any place with a roof and attached bathrooms is a BIG improvement!;)

 Good morning! I got busy and never got a chance to sign back online last night!
Thotfulspot, I'm glad you made your flight home on time! I guess it would be a lot different missing and rescheduling an overseas flight!

Nanu, hope you're feeling better by now.

Kathy, how about that? We both even 'camp' the same way and have had that bad experience that says 'never again' !

3P, glad the bad part of the storms missed you.

And the kitchen is in the back of a restaurant.:lmao: Except for maybe a breakfast area. ;)

There was something else I thought of last night that was the same, and now I can't remember.:confused3 It may have been the "not quite convinced" DH/DVC. ;)

Good morning!

I have a little bit of time before I need to get ready for work. So far this morning I have cleaned the kitchen from the mess they made last night and I have a batch of pumpkin muffins in the oven. I totallay forgot that today was a food day for my team at work and I had signed up for a healthy dessert. Pulled out my old quick standby recipe from WW. It smells very good in the house right now.

Ooh...that sounds yummy!

Nancy, you're good. If I had forgotten until this morning, I would have been thinking of what healthy desserts I could "pick up" on my way in.:thumbsup2

I'm heading out....meeting at the office this morning.:headache:

Have a great day, all!

:wave2: Have a good day! But hey...it's FRIDAY!!!!!:cool1:

Back again. :) I'm half thinking of a place me and my friends can go on holiday. :) So I'm in and out.

Hi, bye, and HAPPY SHOPPING!!! You used an American word...studying!!!

Wow, a miracle. :lmao:

My mum just did that. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: So at least we have a permanant copy. :)

GOOD MORNING!

Woke up to ANTS in my kitchen! :headache: Not a good sign for the kind of day that lies ahead!

I walked into the kitchen this morning, and not only were DSs shoes in the middle of the floor, so was the shirt he wore yesterday! In the middle of the kitchen floor....that's not even trying.:headache:

In the middle of the kitchen?!?!?!:scared1: Don't you just wonder what goes through their heads? :confused3

And Nancy, I'm the same way about camping..it's actually MORE work because you're doing all of that stuff with equipment that isn't nearly as convenient. I think you have to really love it...not for me. I used to work with someone who said she camps at the Hilton...............more my style!:thumbsup2

Growing up, my family ALWAYS camped and never stayed in hotels. I used to swear that when I had a family, we'd stay in hotels. Now my kids complain that we "never go camping.":confused3 :lmao: I do enjoy it if someone else does all the cooking and packing! (which never happens!)

Well, the storms died off before they came to us last night...thank goodness. We got the rain but none of the "excitement.":)
Glad you got some rain!:yay:

Today looks like a nice lazy day. I only have to run a couple of errands, but they can wait until this afternoon.:woohoo:

Ants?!?!?!:scared1: That's a four-letter word.;)

Nap time is nearing. The house is quiet. :ssst:

I went to the mall this morning, and also got pet food. Then I came home...and DS was already up...good thing...cause I was gonna wake him!!! Then I vacuumed the upstairs.:scared1: How can two kids be that dirty?!?!

I must say though, that I enjoy listening to DS talk about him vacuuming and MOPPING in FL.popcorn::
