GOOD MORNING DIS! Whoopsidoodle Hangers On and Friends Meet Here Part 10

I never heard that rule of thumb before! That's good to know. The last time I did a 5 hr time difference I think it took me 2 days to get back into the right time zone. I was younger then.:rotfl: I find going West to be the worst.

Terri...your sister is very wise.:teacher:

I like to think I taught her everything she knows...;)

*snerk* It all makes sense now!! :lmao:

My sister calls it "the 4 questions." She actually has it narrowed down to only four things they have to ask themselves. (Am I hungry? Am I tired? Do I want praise/attention? Do I want sex?) I think they may have a FEW more questions in 'em...)

Oh, that's not going to happen for a few days now. The rule of thumb is one day for each hour of time difference, and we were 6 time zones away. On the plus side, we all slept for at least a good chunk of the return flight and had a good night's sleep last night (except my DH, who woke up at 2 am and coulnd't fall back asleep, so started his workday early! :scared: ). On the other side, it's almost 12:30 am and my DS10 is sitting on the sofa behind me reading a book because he can't sleep.

As for me, I had an energy drop at about 8pm and napped for half an hour, and could happily go to sleep now, except I'm not sure if the dog has been out for his last walk of the day yet, and I would purely hate to guess wrongly on that one! :lmao: Hey, I can kill 2 birds with one stone here -- send DS out to walk the dog!

I hope you get rested up soon! I don't usually have much trouble with jet-lag, but this last TIME CHANGE almost did me in for some strange reason!:confused3

Wow, we've actually gone for THREE pages today! That's more than we've done for the last few days!

(Kathy I posted a url on the end of the last page for you...don't miss it!)

The annoying thing is, if it were just me, I'd be over this in nothing flat -- it's trying to be awake when the kids are and simultaneously be the Bad Guy who yanks them back onto a normal schedule that's tough!

Oh, rats, the internal quote didn't copy over ... well, I'll reply to it anyway! I was trying to think of a circumstance that those 4 questions wouldn't apply to in a man's life, and I'm coming up empty!

One more thing, Kathy...

JUST 13 MORE DAYS!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Oh, that view is just too fabulous!! I've been DISing too long -- I just spent a few seconds trying to find Hidden Mickeys in the pattern of the marble in the shower! :rotfl:

 Maybe the dog will decide he needs to RUN...and thereby wear your son out!

Man, don't I wish!! :lmao:

I really like the new room decor. The old one kinda made my head spin!
I love it too! Some people think it's not Disney. But hey...excuse me...how many hotels have YOU seen with a monorail running through it and a nice amusement park next door??? Sheesh! Anyway, the beds are :cloud9: and the rooms are really big. But so is the price.:scared1: You can watch Chef Mickey's from the hallways outside the rooms.

I'm a little weird...I actually like watching the traffic early in the morning...all the CMs going to work at MK. While drinking my coffee on the balcony.

I get that completely! That sounds really fun!

I wouldn't turn down a stay there, either! (although I'm a completely devoted Beach Club fan now...:scared1: )

You know, every time I take my parents...and DH tells me to...he then tells me to stay at CR.:lmao: Well, I must say, it is convenient with the elevator right there!

Well, ladies, I now have TWO children awake and hanging around me up here, so something tells me it's time to throw them back into their beds and get the dog out for a quick walk around the block before I sink into bed myself. See ya later! Say hi to Mr. Sun if you see him around (he won't be making an appearance here anytime soon, drat it)!

Good night, thot! I hope everyone gets a good night's sleep!

I'm going to go spend an hour with "Ellen." see ya! :wave2:

Chatty bunch today! I have a few minutes while I'm waiting for DH and 2 of the kids to get ready for dinner, we're going to Olive Garden. They all knew what time I would be home and yet none of them could be ready. And I clearly said "be ready to go as soon as I walk in the door." I have now been home for 1/2 hour

Nancy, you're good. If I had forgotten until this morning, I would have been thinking of what healthy desserts I could "pick up" on my way in.:thumbsup2

I'm heading out....meeting at the office this morning.:headache:

Have a great day, all!

I had thought of that but there was nothing I could think of to buy that would have fit the bill other than fruit and someone else was bring a fruit tray in.

GOOD MORNING!

Woke up to ANTS in my kitchen! :headache: Not a good sign for the kind of day that lies ahead!

Glad you got some rain!:yay:

Today looks like a nice lazy day. I only have to run a couple of errands, but they can wait until this afternoon.:woohoo:

One of the perks of living in the frozen tundra...no ants in winter!

Sorry Terrie but I have to ask..

Do you have Ants in your Pants? :lmao: :lmao:

:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Ha HA!

BTW, over here, it's already Saturday -- one day closer to your trip!! :goodvibes

You're confusing me! LOL!

JUST 13 MORE DAYS!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

Is it ok that I looked too? Those were great pictures.

You're confusing me! LOL!

Well, I'm six hours ahead, so when I posted, it was Saturday for me but still Friday for Kathy -- so from my reckoning, it was only 12 days until her trip although still 13 from hers, and now I'm getting that headache I get when I try to figure out how much something actually costs in real money if you factor in the exchange rate!

Good morning! I hope everyone has an absolutely splendid day!! :goodvibes

(BTW, it's just sfter 10:30 am and the kids are still asleep although I put their shades up an hour ago. These are the same kids who assured me at 1:30 in the morning, when I found them playing in their rooms, that they wouldn't have any problems at all waking up today. I'm going back downstairs to make myself very unpopular in the thotfulspot household.)
