I'm here DM, but drinking Diet Coke. Just took some Tylenol Sinus so I don't think drinking would be a good idea;)

Drinking wine means that you are feeling better:woohoo:

Hi everyone

CE-good luck with your decision to move. It must be hard. I always think I would love to move but when actually presented with the idea I think I would go crazy with the stress. Try to relax. If its meant to be it will all just fall into place for ya.

JO- boy are you burning the midnight oil or what???Its late missy time for bed:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I cant believe it takes 1 1/2 to get to school. that is crazy. How far is the school from you??

V- I am glad to hear Leo is feeling a tad bit better I hope all gets better and you are off to Disney in the AM. Keep yourself medicated.:rotfl2:

SLATE- Sorry about the lay off, good luck on your interviews:goodvibes

Ok so my crockpot story from last night:

It was much better than the night before.
The chicken was covered with liquid and I cooked it on low.
The taste was good.
Next time I think I will make rice on the side and put the chicken and broth over the rice.
Cooking the noodles in the same pot made it come out more like a casserole and we didnt like that, but the taste was good.

Next up is the orange chicken. I think that is something my family would eat as it is something I would normally make.
I am not sure if we can have soy sauce, any suggestions as to a substitute if we cant. Im going to check into it.

I think "low and slow" did the trick along with the liquid:thumbsup2

Amy: How are you today?

Everyone else....Hope your having a great great great Friday! :thumbsup2
I have V's cold. Caught it through the puter! ;)

MEL:love:
Hi,Mel.I am feeling much better.Hope your cold doesn't get too bad.

I am now. I left work early:rolleyes1

:cheer2:

My DH is cooking tacos and burritos tonight.YUM! My BIL and his family are coming over-guess I should go get the clean laundry off of the couch...:rolleyes1

BTW,all those that gave advice and  about my middleschooler situation,he is doing better today.I even got two GOOD emails from his two gifted teachers.:woohoo: We did talk and he confided that there may be a girl that has made him change his mind about the no girls thing. Oh and he had five hours of make up work last night so he may think twice about faking sick for a while.:thumbsup2 From what he said he made a TON of new friends at the beginning of the year and now he is having a hard time with figuring out which ones are going to be his real friends.I think there have been some hurt feelings on his part and he is missing his elementary school friends.

I'm here until about 8-ish. I'm drinking Diet Coke now too. I prefer to chug some drink with my dinner tonite. I'm not sure if I'll like the wine or not. Rob's cousin bought us a bottle of Chardonnay that I never heard of. The last bottle she bought us was yucky.

Hi Amy :wave2:

Oh no hope you feel better soo and don't give it to me too ;) :rotfl2:

:yay:

I'm such a wuss, I just had a good old cry watching Coronation Street one of the main, longest running characters died  I cried my eyes out :rotfl2:

Oh add me to the dry crockpot chicken don't know what I did (TE's orange recipe) but it was really dry and kinda stringy

Who died Jo ?? I watched Corantion Street growing up Back inthe days of Albert Tatlock!

I'm definitely off now, see you all tomorrow :wave2:

Oh just remembered I thought of Theresa tonight (I'm sure it was Theresa!) Gordon Ramsey was doing a special life show tonight where he taught you how to cook in real time, it looked pretty good not that I cooked though :rotfl:

Oh you are off already.Have a good night sleep.
Thanks for thinking of me:goodvibes
Do you remember the name of the show, I can try to look it up on you tube or online. or maybe BBC America will have it on.

DH and I are obsessed with him. I am trying to work a LHR trip out of this:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Most of DH clothing is made in England he loves Turnbull and Asser and Oxford clothing not to mention Gieves and Hawkes. Wish me luck;)

CE, Good luck with all the decisions you have to make.

Thanks, Amy. :goodvibes

There is NOTHING in Teterboro, there is outlet shopping in Secaucus, but D probably isn't interested in that.

Probably not so much... ;)

I know someone in Vero (translated from Jersey) and love it.

It's pretty. ;)

This is great advice, lump sum is the cheap way out some companies take. Not only doesn't it cover your costs but you lose out on some good tax breaks.

Thanks, guys. I need all the help I can get, if this goes through.

Can't you drive them? It's so strange thinking of kids so young on buses, I thought Jess was young at 11 :rotfl2:

I could, but then I'd lose 40 minutes of alone time! :rotfl: Now who's mother of the year? :rotfl2:

Your mailman takes your post too? :rotfl2:

Yes, because we have a box by the road, he doesn't put it in a slot in the door.

Way too much for me to even comment but the bulk of it seems to be about CE ... always CE. Joke. I only have one comment regarding the education system in Florida. As V said, it isn't known for being very good. A quick story, my sister-in-law received her masters in teaching and went to a job fair. There were a lot of school districts from Florida looking for teachers. A big problem that SIL had is that they (Port St Lucie) wanted to hire her right then and there. No interview, no references, NOTHING! So it makes you wonder what kind of teachers are working down there ... :scared:

BTW ~ She declined. They don't pay enough. NY pays good.

Yeah, I know. But NH is not known for great schools, either, so I'm not losing much if this county (which is just south of St. Lucie county - different district) is really good for FL. I'm not discounting it, but since I'm not in a terribly great place now... :confused3

CE: It is going to be 9 degrees here (that's a HIGH) tomorrow. No problem deciding for me. Though the school situation worries me too....

I said to my friend at t-ball, "I bet they have a LOT less snow days." :rotfl:

Just got a picture of Joey in my head reading this:sad2:

::yes:: If I don't relate something to the DIS, it's because I relate it to Friends.

OK, my user CP is going to be all messed up, as I suddenly realized I needed to leave for t-ball, and no joke, left this post half done. :sad2: I'll be back to catch up in a bit! :grouphug:

Don't like wine but just opened a grape smirnoff.YUM!
Ooh! Those are good! Have you ever tried Mike's Hard Cran-Lemonade? It's really good!

St Bonaventure:thumbsup2
Oh. I don't know anyone that went there. I knew someone who went to Niagara.

Yeah, I know. But NH is not known for great schools, either, so I'm not losing much if this county (which is just south of St. Lucie county - different district) is really good for FL. I'm not discounting it, but since I'm not in a terribly great place now... :confused3
I didn't mean to sound negative though. Schools would not be the deciding factor for me.

Using UserCP is hard sometimes. You have to use your "back" button to make sure you don't miss anything. If you just click on usercp after you visit 1 thread, it will totally update again. So watch out.

I cracked open a bottle of wine. Anyone up for a drink with me?

I'll join you in a few minutes. Friday is "pizza & a movie" night at our house, but since D's not home and it's closer, tonight is "BK and a movie". ;)

Once I finish the burger, I'll get the wine. Can't have them together - I get thirsty and then the wine is gone too quickly. :rotfl2:

CE-good luck with your decision to move. It must be hard. I always think I would love to move but when actually presented with the idea I think I would go crazy with the stress. Try to relax. If its meant to be it will all just fall into place for ya.

Thanks, Theresa. My best local friend was at t-ball, too, and she was helpful - saying that she'd be sad if we go, but she understands. And, she said much the same thing - just think that if it's meant to be, it will be. I think I'll sleep better tonight, regardless.

Pshew. I was starting to worry that either you thought I was messing with you, or that I'm such a bad cook that even bad crockpot food is good in my house. :rotfl2:

Why do you have to go at 8:00? By then the boys should be in bed, or nearly, and that's when I'll get to party! ;) :lmao:

No, it's OK. We have to think of all this. And, there definitely ARE some negatives. I'm just not sure that the school difference is going to be that much. Our friends were in one of the best NH districts (better than ours) and are happy there, which hopefully says something. :confused3

My hottie guy in Moonlight is on! Then my Friday Night Lights is on at 9. I have to watch that cause I had a very "good" ;) dream about Tim Riggins last night.

Well, no wine for me. This bottle of wine sucks. I tried to take a couple of sips hoping it would get better but it didn't. Yucko. :sad1:

Gotcha. Sorry about the wine. I know you don't like reds, but I'm having a nice Virgin Atlantic (no joke) Shiraz. Where's Jo when you need her? :rotfl2:

Hey, speaking of - D was talking to a different pilot friend last night, after the long FL conversation, and he's trying to be one of the first 180 pilots hired by Virgin American - I guess they're starting a domestic service branch soon. We can ALL be like Jo! :rotfl:
