Looking back at some pics from last year I think that the lighter coloured shirt would stand out better, I wore dark grey and black and my DH wore white and his shirt stands out more, I think because the MK is kept pretty dark and spooky at the MNSSHP and the lighter colours just show up better on the dark background. Hope this helps.

Booked MNSSHP tickets online today for 10/1!!!!
Also Booked CRT for breakfast this morning , followed by an afternoon reservation at BBB for 4 kids in our group. To top it off it's my daughters 8th Birthday that day!! :cheer2:

Does anyone know for sure what time they will let you in to MK for the MNSSHP? I have read on this site (in multiple locations) where you can get in as early as 4:00 pm. When I called Disney Reservations on 2 different occasions, I was once told "right at 7:00 pm" and then later told "a little earlier than 7:00 pm". We really want to go at 4:00 to take advantage of some of the attractions that will be closing up later that evening (Carousel of Progress, etc.) but we really don't want to leave MGM and get there at 4:00 to find out we have to wait 3 hours. I am a planning nut and losing 3 hours anywhere on this trip will just blow my mind.
I have single day tickets and will be at MGM that morning.
I understand Disney telling you 7:00 pm but what is the real scoop?

Panicking a little in SC!

Do a lot of people do dinner in the MK before MNSSHP? (I'm guessing yes!)
We're just wondering how difficult it may be to get a reservation.

We have a 4pm ressie at CRT, but I made it right when it came open.. you may be able to get in at Tonys or Liberty Tree though! You can check online- they let you book dining reservations at disneyworld.com now :)

Which day are you going?

My daughter and I are going to CRT at 4:30 on Oct 1. I wanted 4 PM, but they must not seat parties of 2 at that time since I checked at 6 AM Eastern online at 90 + 10. We still should be done in plenty of time though! We're wearing Cindy themed costumes and will head for the carriage photo op right at 7. I can't wait!

Our ADR window opens on July 26. We are doing MNSSHP right on Halloween and are worried that the restaurants will be really full. :scared: We're hoping to get in at CP (for around 5 - 5:30). I'm sure we're crazy for thinking we can get this, but we'll at least try!

I think my oldest is going as Cindy too (so far she says she wants to wear the same outfit from her BBB make-over day). Good idea to head straight for the carriage at 7:00!

Yeah, thats us to- we are going Sept 4th, and are also going with a Cinderella theme :)

They let you in at 4pm. We went in about 6pm last year and I wish we had gone in earlier...which we will this year. We missed too much going that late.

CP closes early that night. It might not be possible to get a 5:30- you can call now and ask. Last year the only restaurant we were offered was LTT as it's not affected by the MNSSHP going-ons

Just curious, if the party doesn't officially start until 7:00 what did you miss going in at 6:00?

Oh, I didn't know that. I don't have time to call right now ... I'll post over on the restaurant board and see if anyone knows the answer. Thanks for the heads up!

I just did some playing around with the online ADR system. I put in October 9 (it's a MNSSHP night) and I was able to get availability at CP up until 6:45, so we should be good for the time we're hoping for a reservation - as long as they have availability for us that night!

Another question ... If we got an early dinner reservation, say around 4:30, will we be able to get our wrist bands when we enter the park for dinner or would we have to go back out to the gate closer to 7:00?

Also, I've read that they hand out trick or treating bags, but that they tend to get snatched up early. Do most people just bring their own bags? How early does Disney start handing their bags out? (ie, if we came for a dinner reservation would they be available before 7:00?)

Thanks!

They have plenty of bags!!! Don't bring your own. There is also a deal at Disney around that time if you spend $50 you can get a really nice bag for $10 in the store if you want a bigger one. The bags in the parks are small. We came home with 4 of them for 3 people and barely trick or treated!

You will get your bracelet and your special Photopass Card when you enter- you won't need to go back out!

What happened was the we got there about 5:30-6 and went to have dinner CS. The CS was packed so it took just as long as TS. By the time we were getting done, it was the start of the party. DD wanted to go on some rides so we spent party time doing that. We will NOT do that this year. We'll go early, ride anything she wants, eat CS, and then after 7 we will only do party things (except for Haunted Mansion because that's really cool at the Party) If you stop to watch Hallowishes, the parade, and Villian Mix and Mingle, there isn't a lot of time to do too much else sadly if you were riding rides! We missed all of Fantasyland and the character dance parties. And we stayed until the very end of the party.

The pics of my TR from last year's party is in this thread somewhere but you can also link to it through my siggie if you'd like to check out our review.

FOUND THE PICS...they are on page 5!

Ok, we won't bother bringing our own bags. I'm sure we can find something spend $50 on to get the bigger bag. Besides, I'm hoping to go as Mary Poppins, so we can always use my carpet bag if we get desperate. :rotfl:

Is there a separate entrance for ppl with party tickets? How does it work if you are entering the park early (for dinner), but are going to MNSSHP? (we've never been to the Halloween party before - heck, I actually haven't been to Disney in over 15 years! :scared1:)
