I need this thread. LOl We were at pop switched to CBR than to CSR. Than went back to pop, then CBR again now we are booked at POR in a royal room. Was all set to call this am to switch to pop and I'm thinking about moving back to CBR. If we stay at pop we are paid in full. If we move to CBR we will end up with 150.00 balance or so.

I would love to stay at a Royal room but the extra 400.00 price is killing me. I know to some it isn't huge. But I'm having issues with if for what ever reason. I guess I feel POR and CBR are the same catagory. I know there is some diffrence like quuen beds but those IMO don't outweight the 400.00 in savings if we switched back to CBR. Then I'm done. No more changing.

I had a dream last night that we were staying in Bldg 14 at POR... What does it mean I wonder?

Guess I will go price out a trip at POR.

If you can save several hundred $$ by staying GF GV, request Boca Chica, 3rd floor, end facing Narcoosee's (sp)...heck, it will be an obstructed TPV(no castle), but it is a great so called GV! Lagoon, entrance to MK..be still my heart.

Aww...working so much!! That's why we always give thanks for all who work holidays, especially nurses and medical staff.

I still want to be at GF, and would happily give up CL to be at GF...but HRH & I are the minority...All the Poly pool talk being crowded After the last 4 days of work one night at my Grand No, no, no, no, no.....

Hmmmm...it's funny because I am Catholic (not really practicing though) and my DH is Greek Orthodox. Our girls were baptised Greek Orthodox and have grown up in the Orthodox church...our best resource to that part of their heritage is DH's Big Fat Greek Family Especially the girls' papou (my DFIL) - he is 100% greek and proud and he has exposed them to all things greek since birth. Now mind you, our DD's are very much "mutts". I am Portuguese, Cuban, American Indian and Italian... So, obviously I bring alot to the table...they definitely get more education in Greek heritage though and I feel bad because they should know more about the other parts of themselves too, but I was never really given that growing up...my mom called us "mutts" too, very lovingly of course.

I'm a mutt too Cuban, Hungarian, Irish...my DH German, Polish, Italian...I was raised mostly by my Abuela so I am very rooted in my Hispanic heritage. My family was booted out of Cuba by Castro, as my grandparents were active missionaries...I loved to hear my Abeulo preach (he was the head of a large Presbyterian church in Newark for as long as I remembered). I miss them dearly...I try to teach my kiddos what I can remember

I can see how the DP would be conventient but my problem is that when my DD and I go it is too much food for us so we end up throwing away a lot. I think what I'm going to do this time is purchase a Disney gift cards until I have enough to fund all my spending while I'm there. I figure it's worth a try ... right???

99 DAYS TO GO!!!!!

I'm watching all these resort changers and since I only have a pre and post cruise stay booked for May, 2012, I was feeling sad about not planning on going in December 2012 since we have a DCL cruise for May and Sept (NY), 2012. Well we got our annual invitation for our NFFC Disney Fan Club Christmas Party to be held at the Contemporary Dec 1st, 2012. We have gone 5 Decembers in a row.
I am WEAK.
I called my niece who owns at BLT and ask her to find us any studio at BLT for a 4 night short stay. Yikes 8 months out and 12/1 is completely booked. I booked 11/29, 11/30, 12/2 for a lake view studio and waitlisted for 12/1.
Makes me a candidate for resort changes. I am WEAK.

We had changed our heating system and code calls for a pipe vent out. It was ugly white so DH painted it dis board green, and I taped a FE cruise magnet to it and took this picture.

I changed my resort from the GF to the Contemporary! LOL
Although I am getting nervous from reading negative reviews on Tripadvisor!
After reading Minnie&Nana's glowing review of the Poly I am thinking of switching to there!

Just keep changing around the monorail...after Poly, it's GF again CR has been chanting to me on & off....I try to ignore negative TA reports.....I try

I hope everyone is having a nice holiday. All this talk about the Poly has me wanting to stay there. I know there is like a zero percent chance DH will stay there as he falls into the " Poly Haters Club", which is bad since we have only visited the Poly once when we went to the Aloha Show and I on the other hand fell in love with the Poly.

Kelly! You found us!! This is where Janet and I hang our hats when not taking care of the POP FAQ!

Personally, I'd be very tempted to stay at POR in a regular room - the new refurb is very nice and would save some $, but you'd have a nice new room. CBR is coming for a refurb as it as been about 6 yrs so it will be looking a bit tired. (We used to love CBR but it has more bedbug reports than any other resort, so we now afford it like the plague.).

When are you traveling? Would AOA be an option? The std rooms are scheduled to open in Sept, though I've heard some reports it could be December..."officially" Disney is saying September for the Mermaid rooms.

Decisions, decisions! Good luck! It always feels good when I can go to Disney and save a little $ just by staying at a different resort.

Out of the 3 resorts, I like Pop the best. Being that I've seen you on the Pop thread a lot ..do you want to try a new resort? If so.....I would stick with POR, only cause it's brand spanking new. I didn't fall in love withCBR, it was years ago though...the moderates are just too darn large for my liking I guess, so between Pop & CBR, I'd do Pop. Between POR & Pop....I'd try out the new rooms....but you gotta stay at the resort that "feels right" both in your heart AND the wallet...$400 is $400 bucks!!!!! Let us know if you change!!!! Change is good

Glad your long weekend of work is over....will you have a belated Easter celebration now?

I am bored beyond belief today...poor Sophia...do not feel like playing, but fortunately she was very busy playing mostly alone and taking her baby to the zoo. She is at the playground now with her mom and her dad is on the way ...so she will have a couple of hours playing outside before she comes back to boring Nana.

I'm home safe, sound, and somewhat crazy. Dealing with crazy for 4 days straight makes you nutty... so I did some retail therapy, mani/pedi, did our taxes, ordered some wedding pictures (finally), and now I'm sitting down for lunch before I get up and do laundry and cleaning. I'm glad I took today off to detox

I'm home safe, sound, and somewhat crazy. Dealing with crazy for 4 days straight makes you nutty... so I did some retail therapy, mani/pedi, did our taxes, ordered some wedding pictures (finally), and now I'm sitting down for lunch before I get up and do laundry and cleaning. I'm glad I took today off to detox

Glad you had a nice day off to decompress. . DH and I were off today, but because our youngest DD had an ear piercing gone very bad. funny thing is...she got her ears pierced back in January and no issues until last week when we noticed her earlobe was swollen and PURPLE!!! Very bizarre! Anyways, we took her to the pedi on Friday and were advised that the infection had turned into an abscess that needed to be taken care of by a pediatric surgeon, for which the appt was made for this morning...well, of course, the thing burst on its own on Friday night and started healing on its own, so by the time we got to the surgeon this morning, it looked pretty good. Procedure averted, just have to keep cleaning it. so yeah, I understand crazy. I too turned to retail therapy to cope.
Went and got some frames for some pics I've wanted to hang, and found a beautiful Turkish rug that I picked up for our living room...

DH and I were off today, but because our youngest DD had an ear piercing gone very bad. funny thing is...she got her ears pierced back in January and no issues until last week when we noticed her earlobe was swollen and PURPLE!!! Very bizarre! Anyways, we took her to the pedi on Friday and were advised that the infection had turned into an abscess that needed to be taken care of by a pediatric surgeon, for which the appt was made for this morning...well, of course, the thing burst on its own on Friday night and started healing on its own, so by the time we got to the surgeon this morning, it looked pretty good. Procedure averted, just have to keep cleaning it. so yeah, I understand crazy. I too turned to retail therapy to cope.

DD is great, thanks!!! We would have never survived getting our girls' ears pierced so young....they both had wretched ear infections that required tubes...all of that tugging would have been a disaster!!!

Anyway I'm sure there will be more changes coming for you for this trip but I'm going on record that I like this one .... not that it matters what I like for you!

MM: So glad that your DD is better, it must have really hurt and thank goodness it starting healing on its own.

Hi RC family. I've been very busy. Danimal has a stomach virus from hell. Today is his 3rd day being sick. I feel so bad for him. The doctor says it should stat to turn around now which is good. Hopefully I'll be able to check back in soon.
