I finally found a way to get DH excited about Disney! - ADDED LINK TO TRIP REPORT

Love HDD! We are starting out our week with it and going Sunday evening.

Maybe we will bump into each other on the trip!

Ahhh Reid is such a cutie!!! Oh my goodness. Hope he's enjoying Pre-K!!!

I've heard such wonderful things about the Hoop-Dee-Doo! I bet yall will really love it, and I can't wait to hear what you think! I'm really wanting to give it a try some day!

Love the plans for the last night. We've never been to any of the dinner shows at Disney, but I always hear great things about HOOP-DEE-DOO MUSICAL REVUE.

I wouldn't let Reid sleep too much in the car, or you won't get him to go to bed at his normal time when you get home for school the next day. ;)

And ANY kind of Mickey mail gets a :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Gosh Reid is a cutie....school just tires them right out!! Especially trying to behave and listen all day!:lmao: (At least for my kids!) I think the Hoop Dee Do sounds great! It was on our list for this trip, but CRT won out instead! Maybe next time....:goodvibes

LOVE Hoop Dee Doo Muscial Revue! It is our favorite dinner show. Food has improved sangria is delicious and the show is funny! Reid will love it! Maybe he will get picked to go up on stage at the end. Nick and my nephew got picked and loved it they took pics and they were delivered to our table before we left and they were presented with a certificate. I hope your family enjoys it as much as ours does.

:cool1: for THE HOOP-DEE-DOO MUSICAL REVUE! I have never been to any of the dinner shows, but this is one of the ones I would be interested in.

Not long now!!! :goodvibes

I'm pretty happy with my choice to book HDDR. I think it will be fun.

I don't know about you but I am so ready for this trip to be here! After the days I had yesterday & today, I need to get to Disney before I lose my mind. :scared1:

I think you guys are really going to enjoy Hoop-de-doo! Its a really fun show! The food is so-so, but the cornbread and strawberry shortcake are better, and the drinks are free flowing!

Depending on the time, you guys maybe could even catch Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach at Ft. Wilderness!

I'm so excited about the cornbread! I've heard that it's the same kind that is at Mickey's Backyard BBQ & I loved that stuff! And who doesn't love strawberry shortcake? YUMMMMM!!!! I think I'm definitely going to partake in the free flowing adult beverages. :rolleyes1

I didn't even think about watching Wishes from the beach! Thanks! :thumbsup2

College football is great.:thumbsup2 I'm the same way... I can watch just about any good game on TV. DW is already complaining about it. :rotfl::lmao:

I tell Ed all the time how lucky he is to have married a girl who loves college football! :rotfl2: I like other sports, too. But, college football has my heart.

I think the Hoop Dee Doo is a great idea for the last day. I, personally, am a big fan of ESPN Club, but you probably made a good choice. It is great for adults if you want to show up early and string out several appetizers and drinks over the course of an evening, but I'm not sure how much fun that would be for a 4 year old.

I really would have liked to get into ESPN but I do think HDDR will be better overall. Thank goodness for iPhones - at least we'll be able to get the scores of the games. :lmao:

Sounds like a perfect night! I love the Hoop!!! I think you guys will have a great time.

Thanks!! I hope it will be a fun way to end the trip.

Our honeymoon fell during college basketball conference tournaments. We spent and inordinate amount of time at ESPNZone. :lmao: Romantic huh?

Y'all sound like us! Our anniversary is December 6th. Before we had Reid, we would always go away for a long weekend around our anniversary. Well, it would always end up being the same weekend as the SEC Football Championship game. So, naturally, that is how we would spend our time at these romantic bed & breakfast places.

Well, I can't see Reid's pics right now, but I am not surprised that his first day of school really wore him out. That's a good thing, right?

It's a very good thing! ::yes:: It can be so hard to wear that boy out. :rotfl:

I love your HDDR plan for your last night. It really is a cool show and I recall the food as being pretty decent as well, so enjoy!

Thanks! I think out of the scenarios I came up with, it was the best for us. And hopefully it will let us end our trip with some good laughs.

I forget - when is your cruise? Ugh, isn't it hard to plan with other people? :headache:

We are doing an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy sailing out on June 1st.

It really is hard.....I'm trying to not to be a control freak over them booking. So, I'm making myself chill (which is really hard :rotfl:). If they book great, but if they miss the boat on getting a cabin (pun intended ) then oh well.....

Love HDD! We are starting out our week with it and going Sunday evening.

Maybe we will bump into each other on the trip!

We just may....it's a small world after all! ;)

Thank you!! He is loving school! Of course, he always love it.....which I'm very grateful for!

I'm excited to finally try HDDR. I've thought about it on many different trips but have never pulled the trigger on booking it until now.

Love the plans for the last night. We've never been to any of the dinner shows at Disney, but I always hear great things about HOOP-DEE-DOO MUSICAL REVUE.

Thank you!! It does seem like HDDR gets the most consistent good reviews.

I wouldn't let Reid sleep too much in the car, or you won't get him to go to bed at his normal time when you get home for school the next day.

Knowing Reid, he won't sleep as much as I think he will. :rotfl:

And ANY kind of Mickey mail gets a :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Indeed!!!

Gosh Reid is a cutie....school just tires them right out!! Especially trying to behave and listen all day!:lmao: (At least for my kids!) I think the Hoop Dee Do sounds great! It was on our list for this trip, but CRT won out instead! Maybe next time....

Thank you so much!! I find Reid behaves (overall) so much better at home during the school year. I'm not saying he's perfect but he is better. Him & his friends play so hard on the playground that when I pick him up, he is literally dripping sweat & his cheeks are bright red. And their playground is shaded! I think all the play combined with the learning really is wipes him out. Oh - and get this - tonight is the 2nd night in a row we've had homework. Did I mention this is PreK4? :lmao:

I'm so glad to hear that y'all love HDDR! Sounds like I definitely need to try the Sangria! That's so cute that they got a certificate for going on stage & that y'all got pictures!

I don't know about you but I am so ready for this trip to be here! After the days I had yesterday & today, I need to get to Disney before I lose my mind. :scared1:

I am totally with you! I just got my budget for work (we are given a budget every four weeks that gives us a heads up as to what kinda of work load we will have over the coming four weeks) My budget is going to have me working almost to the very day I fly out (and in fact I will have to bring my computer to finish some things up while at WDW) Between now and then... I am not sure how much free time I will have. I am scared. :scared:

Oh, what a great idea! I can't wait to hear about Hoop-Dee-Do (or however you spell it )!!!

Oh my goodness......you are definitely going to need this vacation by the time it gets here! Part of me feels like there's still so much time left to go but the other part of me knows it will be here soon!

Oh, what a great idea! I can't wait to hear about Hoop-Dee-Do (or however you spell it )!!!

Thanks! I'm excited to check it out!

I completely understand about the college football, we are the same way. In fact we are thinking about skipping Disney next year to purchase season tickets. We will be missing 2 weekends as well and I'm hoping to get into ESPN to watch at least one of those.

Hoop sounds like a fun way to end your trip!

LET'S GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!

I'm glad we're not the only ones who love college football that much! :rotfl: I wish they would just announce the time of the LSU game for Oct 6th so I could know where I'll be when I need to be score stalking on my phone. :rotfl2:

Hoop sounds like a fun way to end your trip!

Thanks! I'm hoping it will help us to end the trip on a high note.

LET'S GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!

West Virginia....I remember LSU rolling into there last year & taking care of business. :lmao: Sorry! I had to! :rotfl:

My DH has actually grown to be kind of fond of WV since last season & it's all because of one shirt. I think it was maybe West Virginia's 1st game last year & there was a close-up shot of a WV fan with a shirt that said, "West ------- Virginia". The blanks are for a certain word starting with the letter "F". He loved that shirt so much - it cracked him up. No, it doesn't take much. :rotfl: Anyway, now he says that all the time anytime they talk about the Mountaineers.

That made me laugh because in college I had a shirt that simply said ____ Iowa. Same word omitted. :rotfl: I've been a Big 10 fan since birth. I'm really glad that there's no rivalry there that will upset our relationship.;)

Ha! I love your shirt! :rotfl2:

Yes - I'm glad to know we can still be friends! ::yes::
:rotfl:

Since Ed didn't go to LSU, it's a good thing he went to an ACC school & not another SEC school. I would NOT handle having a DH who loves a different SEC school.

Oh - and Reid already says, "If I cheer for the red team (meaning Alabama or Georgia), Mommy's gonna kick me out of the house." :lmao: Don't worry - my child laughs when he says it. Even though he knows it is true. :rotfl:

Hi, everyone! Just doing a quick check in with y'all!

Can I just tell y'all how ready I am for this trip?!? :hyper: It needs to get here already!

Well, since I'm done with our daily plans, I don't have too much to report here for y'all. But, here's just a few quick things:

1. I almost bought our IoA tickets online yesterday. I thought you got a discount for buying them online. Well, technically, I would - a whopping $3! :cool1: I think I've decided to just buy them at the gates.

2. Ed booked our hotel room for our Thursday travel night! The weekend before we leave, Ed will probably go into his office & work most of the weekend. He'll need to prepare to be out for so long. Since he'll be working a lot that weekend, he said he'll probably be able to leave at lunch on Thursday. Our plan is now for him to come home & grab a quick bite for lunch. We'll get the car loaded up & go to Reid's school to pick him. We will now leave straight from Reid's school. I have to pick up Reid no later than 230 that day so that would be the latest we'll leave. But, we're hoping to pick him up between 1 & 2. Knowing Reid, he'll be mad that we're picking him up early. Since we're leaving earlier than expected, we have decided to drive to Tallahassee on the Thursday night. So, we'll only have about a four & a half hour drive to Disney on Friday!

3. I almost cancelled our date night ADR at Citricos. I started feeling the "mommy guilt" of putting Reid in the kids club during a family vacation. I think what was making it worse is that I know we'll have some alone time during our June 2013 cruise. I made 2 other ADRs to replace Citricos but Ed wants us to keep our date night. But, I still need to cancel my "replacement" ADRs.

I think that's it as far as the trip goes, folks! I still need to finish up some "crafty" things for the trip. Hopefully, I'll get those done soon & will be able to post about those next week.

Hope the rest of the week is great for y'all!!! :goodvibes

I can understand the mommy guilt... I had can count on one hand how many times we left the kids when they were younger. Course, now I have my youngest dd and well, I have my older ones watch her all the time.

Very cool how you will have only a 4 hour drive on friday!!!

Trip will be here very soon!

I'm glad you decided to stick with your Citrico's ADR. I understand the feeling of guilt, but I'm sure Reid will have a great time and there is really nothing to feel bad about. :thumbsup2

I understand the guilt, but you and Ed deserve a special night out. You are taking Reid to DISNEY WORLD for vacation after all. I think he'll have such a great time at the kid's club that he'll barely notice you're gone.:goodvibes

After you said, "knowing Reid, he'll probably be upset that we're picking him up early from school," it occurred to me that he'd probably have a TON of fun at the Neverland Club!

Plus, I know how you excited you are for your date night at the Grand Floridian! :goodvibes

Ok, so you know how behind I am, BUT I think I've caught up!!! :thumbsup2

Ok, first of all, Reid is like Superman!!!! That is so awesome about his hearing and karate belt.

I am so happy you were all safe from Isaac! I was worried about all my Dis friends in the South.

OH, WOW! You are two weeks away!!!!! That is so exciting!!!!!!

I can't wait to hear all about it!
