I live in Virginia. We have rivers, lakes, ocean, mountains... all within a couple of hours drive from our location just south of Washington DC. We live in a pretty darned near perfect location. But my mini vacation just can't happen... too much to do at work!

Oh how lovely re Virginia. We would love to visit Washington DC one day. Love to see the White House etc! How lovely you have such a diverse state with rivers and lakes etc. how annoying re work. A woman's work is never done..

I know what you mean. We have two vacant apartments that just finished renovation. Both are almost completely move in ready so the next two days will be spent finishing those up. The sign went up two days ago so I'm already getting calls.However today I am taking a personal day and heading to the spa at the Grand Californian to use a Travel Zoo deal!

In the UK we have something called a paddling pool. Lol so take this inflatable device and fill with water and some rubber ducks. Now get a bucket and spade, an ice cream, a deck chair and a cd of coastal sounds. Hey presto a stayvacation but no travelling!

We call those baby pools over here. :rotfl: And we have done that when the kids were little!!

Might have to resort to that, Paula. :thumbsup2
