It is in Kent Ohio, great place

It is in Kent Ohio, great place

Wow! That IS quite a drive from Wooster! I'll have to check that out. Kent is about 20 minutes from us. Thanks!

Raina, great to have you back. Sorry things have been so very hectic for you. All for a good cause, of course!
Your plans look very well thought out. I have just a few suggestions/questions.

Were you planning to watch the parade at AK? They say it is one of the very best parades done at Disney. I think it starts at 3:15 or 3:45.

I just had a bit of a concern about how long that day will be with a full day at AK and dinner at 8 and fireworks too. Just seems the little ones might not be able to make it that long. Keep in mind that Disney parks present so much sensory stimulation, it is sometimes hard for the little ones to adjust at first. Of course AK is less so than MK. You know your kiddos the best and I'm not trying to be critical, just letting you know since you've never been to Disney. I don't think any of us are fully prepared for the scope of Disney World. It is off the charts! But in a very good way!

Is your thought to skip Soarin' because you fear it or just not interested? It is one of the best attractions they have IMHO. Dan has a fear of heights and he's fine with Soarin'. I would just hate to see you miss it.

If you do AK a second day as planned, be sure to catch Finding Nemo the Musical. I think the girls will really love it. It is amazing. Dan and I see it every year. And if you didn't catch the parade, maybe you could do it on the second time around.

I guess I forgot you weren't doing the MNSSHP and was waiting for your plans that included that! Duh. You have a lot of fun things planned and some fantastic ADRs! I like all your choices and think you will too. I haven't done all of them, so will be anxious to hear all about them when you do your TR.

Well, I will wish you a fun-filled or relaxing weekend, whichever you prefer. Provided you don't have to work, that is. Take care.

Thanks for the input Lois. I hadn't really thought about the parade at AK. We are just planning on seeing how it goes. If we feel like staying up for fireworks, we will, if not we will go to bed.......it's gonna be a very laid back trip as far as that goes. I definitely don't want to overdo it.....I want to have a VACATION!

I have to make a cake this weekend, but otherwise I am planning on catching up on here!!! Oh and we will do a movie night sometime this weekend.....once I figure out which one I want to do!!! :lmao:

Sadly they just did away with the parade in AK :(

We didnt get to see it last trip either and now we never will. I think its something to do with the Avatarland construction in the way of the parade route? But the last showing was earlier this month I belive... :sad2:

well, guess it's a good thing I wasn't banking on it then!!! :lmao:

Okay, I am no expert, but just gonna give you some notes I thought of as I read each of your days plans!!

24th- If you dont have time to walk over to POP you should consider the new cheesecake item at AoA, they now have a frozen strawberry cheescake on a mickey straw dipped in chocolate!!!

Frozen-Strawberry-Cheesecake-on-a-Straw-Landscape-of-Flavors-443x625.jpg

Read all about it from the DFB HERE!

Honestly, looks SO much better than the tie dye one. Did you know they changed the tye dye cake last year, you no longer get a big, gorgeous slice, you get a little one in a plastic bowl. I had it, nothing great in my opinion. Also, it will take a lot of time to walk over there and back and swim and get to look around at POP, so just keep that in mind if you run low on time!! :goodvibes

25th- I dont think you will need a FP for Enchanted Tales at 9am, you should be able to walk right to it, literally like 70% of the crowd will be walking to A&E and 7DMT so you should be able to get on no probs, I would use that FP after Peter Pan..

26th- Dinosaur, you should def try! It is very fun! :) I think you will be able to do more here than you have listed. You should take a look at the showtimes (they usually dont vary much) and plan on at least one show! They have the BEST shows in AK... put them into your notes or youll end up like us and everytime you get near one it will be at the wrong time and youll miss them!

27th- Hats?! What hats? This is not in your notes, I must know about these and why you have to bring your car to carry them! ;)

28th- Mmmmm....beingets.... jealous.

29th- Only thing I see here is that it take a lot of time to walk from Future World back to WS... I dont think if you plan to stick mainly to FW this day you will be able to do lots of running to F&W for lunch and back and then back for dinner, it will eat a lot of your FW time away. Maybe plan a backup lunch in FW in case it is a hassel and you dont feel like trekking back there. Just in case. You may get done in FW fast if you strictly do rides, but theres so much fun things to run around and touch and explore in the pavilions and innoventions that you could spend a lot of time there!

Oh- Soarin you have to try, not scary for kids either! Test Track is also an easy coaster inside you just drive by a bunch of stuff then its one fast loop outside and thats it. :)

30th- I see you dont have a dinner listed and youll be on the boardwalk, Ive heard great things about Flying Fish and some walk-up burger window if youre looking for QS!

1- What a great day! I ADORE WS!!! Pick a pearl, did you order some pearl cages online already? Its the difference between $6 and $60, no joke!

2- BEST DAY EVER! So happy to see myself in your notes!

3- This looks like a perfect HS day to me! We plan to try Starring Rolls too!!

4- How funny, I was just researching the Pirate Adventure thing and added it to my notes! Heehee! Something to keep in mind, I see you dont have a dinner listed, CHH just added some dinner only options after 4pm, and one is seafood mac n cheese that looks delish, so if you decide to do a very late lunch early dinner there you can catch the new items if youre interested. :thumbsup2

Your plans look great! Very aggresive, but you know your fam, we did that too last time and it worked fine, we never went for breaks. I will say expect things to take longer than you think. A whole day got away from us in both AK and Epcot and we still felt we missed sooooo much!! Theres just so much to see and you cant help but stop and take it in sometimes. :)

Also, I dont see any shows or parades worked in! Very important to note these in your notes and plan them or you will end up missing them, like I said time gets away from you! I would def add a show at AK and probably HS too, and then the new parade at MK and the nightime shows and parades are all amazing. I had all my FP+ worked out and realized I didnt take into account for shows and went back and changed EVERYTHING! lol.. :lmao::lmao:

I cant wait to see all these OUTFITS!! Squeeee!!! :cheer2:

Your trip is going to be so EPIC, truly. You are so smart to be so prepped for your first time and you will make the most out of it, I know! I cant wait to meet you guys! Gonna be so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

YUM!!!!! I want that dessert!!!! :lmao:

We haven't listed everything in these plans....I just noted specific things that I definitely don't want to miss. We will watch some parades for sure!!!! Thanks for the thoughts on lunch at FW. Are there any good places to go? I definitely don't want to waste a bunch of time. We will have a whole day for WS so I want to have plenty of time for all the cool stuff at FW (it looks awesome to me)

what hats?, you say.......why, tea hats of course....hehehee, we are having afternoon tea at the grand Floridian and I am making us all gorgeous hats to wear!!!!!! :cool1:

Oh yeah, Soarin........I am afraid of heights.....( I know, right?) I can do roller coasters...in fact I love them, but I do have mini panic attacks the entire way up!!!! I just don't think I can handle the feet dangling....(my rational brain realizes that it is not that high up and it is a screen) but I have heard that it is very realistic.....I might just let everyone else go......or I might try it.....guess we'll find out :lmao:

Future World QS, so a lot of people love Sunshine Seasons, its like a food court area, so you can get a lot of different things in one location, but nothing appealed to me personally there, I was more interested in something like The Electric Umbrella, which is just your basic burgers and nuggets, but thats ok for me, as most of our meals will be outstanding and it would be good to have a good burger or nugget meal too :)

TEA HATS!!! I thought maybe thats what they were! OMGooodnesssss! I MUST see these when you do them, do post photos, ok!?!!! :worship:

Ahhh, heights, well my hubby has a fear of heights too and he is like you and strangely enjoys coasters as well, yet he cant stand near the edge of anything high... :lmao: But he loved Soarin' too, I bet youd like it, I say you have to at least TRY it! Now if you had motion sickness then maybe I'd letyou slide ;) I got so sick on that ride... I am too scared to try mission space bc of it..

I will definitely post pics!!!! If I ever get these stinkin projects done to show them off that is! :lmao:

Well, I get motion sickness too. I am planning on wearing a scopolamine patch on the ride heavy days.......it works well, just makes me VERY cotton-mouthed. ;)

24th- If you dont have time to walk over to POP you should consider the new cheesecake item at AoA, they now have a frozen strawberry cheescake on a mickey straw dipped in chocolate!!!
well we figure we Raina, the girls and myself will be up early as we will sleep in the van while the guys are driving. So we can head to Pop first before the pool is open at AoA. So I am sure we can get in tie die cheese cake and AoA cheese cake.........I love cheese cake.

Ok maybe we will change the belle FP to something else.....park opens at 8 that day

26th- Dinosaur, you should def try! It is fun! :) I think you will be able to do more here than you have listed. Ok I did list the Lion King.......lol

27th- Hats?! What hats? This is not in your notes, I must know about these and why you have to bring your car to carry them! ;)

Raina is making hats to go with our dresses for the afternoon tea, we are southern women after all........lol

28th- Mmmmm....beingets.... jealous.

we are going to be in Epcot on like 3 days, some are half days so we are doing the rides this day and WS on the other days......:confused3

Oh- Soarin you have to try, not scary for kids either! Test Track is also an easy coaster inside you just drive by a bunch of stuff then its one fast loop outside and thats it. :)

Ok Raina and I both get motion sickness and I can not even watch a 3D movie let alone a movie like soarin . I watched it on utbe and that was enough for me.......nope not going on that!!!

30th- I see you dont have a dinner listed and youll be on the boardwalk, Ive heard great things about Flying Fish and some walk-up burger window if youre looking for QS!

our plan was to just find something at the boardwalk so we will have to check those out....ty

Heehee! we are dressing up as pirates should be a fun day......lol

Oh sometimes we forget to write it in the plans but we plan on breaks everyday after lunch or after our afternoon tea..after all have to change for dinner any ways, don't want to go eat all sweaty..plus 2 days at the water parks. so those we will leave when everyone gets tired not going to push our selves

Also, I dont see any shows or parades worked in! Very important to note these in your notes and plan them or you will end up missing them, like I said time gets away from you! again we did list Lion King at AK.......and might do nemo too!

I cant wait to see all these OUTFITS!! Squeeee!!! :cheer2:

:) Thanks for all the ideas!

:) Thanks for all the ideas!

Of course! I love reading y'all's plans! I can't wait to see your TR! Make sure to take notes! You're doing so many things I want to try! And I am so excited we get to meet!!!! Ahhh! It's just too much!

I've never heard of that, what is it and where do you get it?

it's a patch that you wear behind your ear.....it is a prescription. Some people have REALLY bad side effects with it but I have had good luck, just can't drink enough!!! I have always had TERRIBLE motion sickness so it is definitely worth it to me. I have never had a problem getting a prescription and it is pretty cheap (at least with my insurance...) :goodvibes

First off, sorry about the AK parade info being moot. I hadn't heard about it being gone. That's too bad. Maybe they'll bring it back one day after construction is complete.

And for what it's worth, Dan has a fear of heights and gets motion sickness and he loves Soarin'. He wears sea bands that really do the trick for him and there are no nasty side effects. He can take them off when he doesn't need them, just wearing them when necessary.

I, too, want to see these hats. I'm sure they will be stunning. It's so hard to get everything done when life just keeps getting in the way. Hopefully things will calm down and you'll be able to carve out some time for your projects. I know D~ inspires me a lot!

Hope you have a great Monday and week for that matter!
