Funny... our MNSSHP started off with an injury too! We were at Cosmic Rays eating and Addie's costume was really slippery. Needless to say, despite telling her to sit still a million times, she fell out of her chair and hit her ear on the chair. I have no idea how she cut it so bad, but it was BAD! I was not about to miss a minute of the party going to first aid because my daughter didn't listen, so the nurse Andrea whipped out the Neosporin and bandaids and patched her up. This cut was bad though... probably should have gotten it looked at by someone but I had princes/princesses to get to and was already annoyed that we had to take the time to clean her up! I'm awful... I know!

The Villains Dance Party looks awesome! That will be a must to on a future trip for sure!!

People kill me. If you want a good spot you have to sacrifice some time and sit your booty in it for awhile! And then when they expect you to move or accommodate them because of their lack of planning really irks me! Like that lady behind me watching Illuminations our last trip! I had been there for 45 minutes... you could have done the same! Grrrrr!

yeah, our busses were great for the most part, when when they weren't......they REALLY weren't!

I never wanted to do speedway before, but now that we had such a blast on it, it's a must do from now on. even if I look like h*ll after!

the villains party was great! try it out, they aren't really scary. they evil witch was doing this hilarious booty dance that was cracking us up. even maddie warmed up a little after a few minutes.

don't worry about being behind--I get it. we were only at Disney for 3 days, this TR should be done, but......

I have no idea how I did that elsa hair, but someone more talented could for sure figure something cool out!

I really think people get into their own little vacation bubble at Disney and are totally thoughtless. I've reached that place in life where i'm not worried about speaking up.

oh, the parade! how amazingly awesome is this parade, people? we LOVED it! the music was amazing and the characters and dancers were awesome!

i'm just going to post pictures, some ours and a few of the bonus pics from our memory maker.

we didn't actually get to see the horseman. it was too wet from all the rain, so they didn't have him start the parade. i just love this picture

after ralph went by, there was this really yummy candy smell in the air. it was such a fun surprise for us! then came.....

GOOFY! hannah was so excited!

i was so exited to see the bowler hat guy from meet the robinson's! we've never seen him before. i didn't get a great picture, but, oh well.

it was over too soon! we loved it! this must be the best parade disney does!

after the parade, the girls were fading but doing ok.

i bribed them with some candy to make it to our next stop. where were we headed?

not to the ride, but to meet captain jack sparrow! hannah was so excited for this meet! there was quite a line and it wasn't moving fast. dang all these women who need individual pictures with captain jack! :rofl: i actually didn't blame them--he is pretty cute!

while we were waiting, rich went with maddie in the stroller to sit down. i believe madison fell asleep at this point, she was just so tired. it started to sprinkle, so they went into the dump shop at PoTC. when it started coming down a little harder, they moved the line for jack into tortuga tavern. it was good we moved when we did because it started to DOWNPOUR! we didn't worry about it too much though, because it was our turn!

hannah was in love and couldn't stop looking at her autograph....

we sat at a table at tortuga tavern for awhile. when it let up, rich braved the rain and came to bring us our ponchos. we covered up and put hannah in the stroller with maddie. it was probably about 11:30 by now, so we decided to just head to the front of the park.

when we got to the hub, i could NOT stop taking pictures! the lights would change and i'd have to get another picture! rich was more concerned with getting out of the park and walked ahead.

this might be my most favorite picture i've ever taken in disney. it shows the time we were leaving--straight up midnight--it's not blurry and i LOVE the colors! i'm pretty happy with this one!

i caught up with rich at the stroller return. we had bags and drinks and a whole collection of stuff, not to mention passed out madison and sleepy hannah. i'm not sure how we got everything together, but we did and headed out towards the buses. it was about this time i was trying to convince rich that we should get a cab back to the hotel. i actually have no idea how much that would cost, but he was adamantly opposed to that idea because he was sure it would be expensive. i also have no idea where you get a cab, but i was willing to go wherever it was. in the end, we fought about it all the way to the end of the line for the POP bus and decided to forget it since we were at the line.

this was the other NOT pixie dusted bus of the trip. the stop for POP was at bus stop 28 i think and the line went back to stop 31 or something crazy like that. there was a double bus loading and another coming. we watched bus after bus come and go. it was crazy how long the line was! FINALLY we were on a bus AND had a seat for me and hannah, maddie on my lap. i honestly don't remember much about this ride back after we got on the bus. i think i was happy to just be sitting down and on our way to bed.

when we got to POP, rich carried madison and i walked with hannah. of course, by the time we got to our room, both of them were wide awake! we put pj's on and got into bed. i told rich i was going to get ready for bed and he said he'd stay awake until the girls went to sleep because he was going to download pictures, etc. i went to get ready and this is what i found when i came out. the girls are watching cartoons and rich is dead asleep! crazy man!

you can see in that picture that it's 1:25 in the morning. i made the decision that we would NOT be making our 8:05 am ADR at hollywood and vine the next morning and canceled it on the app without any problems. i announced that we were sleeping now and shut off the tv. i think we were all asleep within 5 seconds!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is awesome and i would go to it every time we go to disney if it's an option. even though we had a sold out party (the first of the year, of course), a not so magical moment at the parade and rain, it was an awesome time and so worth it!

this was our last full day at the parks and you'd think we'd all be up at the crack of dawn, but that wasn't happening. none of us were moving too quickly and we decided to just sleep in and enjoy it. rich took the girls down to get some breakfast and i did a little packing up and got ready in a quiet room. when they came back from eating, the girls were crazy about getting in some swimming time. we again were just going with the flow and thought some pool time was a great idea. we got the girls in swimsuits and went down to the the hippy dippy flower shaped pool.

i'm not sure if the girls were having more fun swimming or trying on all the life jackets.....

at some point, i went in and got some more POP nachos because we all remember how delicious those were!! i was in there for quite a bit because they are only served at lunch and i had to wait for breakfast to end. of course, the line where you get nachos was also the last breakfast line to close and switch to lunch. it took forever, but i wasn't leaving without those nachos!

when i went back out, rich went in to get some lunch for himself and the girls. i enjoyed my nachos and watched the girls having so much fun in the pool. we really need to plan more resort time on our trips. it was so nice to have a relaxing day at POP to enjoy the hotel and chill.

right in the middle of our relaxing, the sky opened up and it started to pour. i couldn't decide if we should wait out the rain, i mean, we were wet already, or find some shelter. i decided to move up to the tables that are covered since rich would be coming out with food soon anyway. we gathered up our stuff and started to hurry up the stairs when i thought i heard someone call my name, which was sort of weird, because who would know me here? well....TERRI would know me, of course! she and her family had just gotten to the resort and had been heading to their room when we were looking for a table out of the rain. pixie dust had put us in the same part of the resort at the same time so we could actually meet! i was so excited to see her! we hugged and made plans to meet up at hollywood later to spend a park day together!

we found a dry table and waited for rich to bring out lunch. i guess since it was raining everyone had the same idea to use that time to get lunch. it was pretty packed in there. soon enough, rich came back and the girls ate. but not before we took some silly pictures.

there was definitely a lot of goofball madison pictures this trip!

when the girls were done, we headed back to the room to change. i really loved our preferred room! it was so close to the buses and the pool and food....totally worth it! first though, the girls had to stop and play in a huge puddle. take kids all the way to disney and their favorite thing is a puddle.....

FINALLY.....we were changed and waiting for the bus to hollywood studios! i was so excited! i love HS and we got to hang out with terri and her family! what a great day!

We still haven't visited WDW or DL at Halloween time but definitely will put in my request for our next family trip. this was our first trip at Halloween time. the only thing i'd complain about was the humidity! I loved how the parks were decorated and we had so much fun at the party! the parks weren't too crowded either. we had a lot of fun--you should for sure go at Halloween!

The parade looks so incredible! I didn't know Ralph & Venelope were in it....that makes me super happy! I was sad to learn that they had been replaced and I know my kids would love to see them.

I adore the puddle pictures! So true about them enjoying the simple things. One of my kids' favorite parts of our DL trip was the water slide at the hotel, like we could have saved a ton of money and just done a hotel closer

The parade music is so catchy! Our MNSSHP was over 2 years ago and we still sing the song all the time. Boo to you and you and you and you... Happy Halloween! I think it's Derek's favorite parade! Love all your pictures of the parade, but especially your favorite picture!! Perfection!
