Received this bag in 2008 along with the large square red & black one. It's a perfect beach bag, as you can shake all the sand right out! Incidentally, we received this CC gift on our first cruise--we were somehow marked in their system as past cruisers.

we have several of these and my dd just used this last night at a pool party - LOVE these bags!! I like all these gifts....can't wait to see what is available next - yes 2016 - December - all of us are gold aside from dd 10 = silver and POOOOOOR ds who will be 5 and not yet been on a cruise!!! his sisters got to go at 18 months and 10 months!!

Here you go. It looks like it could be easy to distinguish different levels where it says Castaway Club....Silver thread, Gold Thread or Black Thread.

By any chance, does anyone have a picture of this new bag actually filled with things? It would be interesting to see how much it holds. When they came out with the grey, yellow and black bags, lots of people posted that they were huge, but I didn't find them so. Just curious. Thanks in advance!

We got the white board (3X) last year. But I think it disappeared when they started using the umbrella as the Gold/Platinum add in.

We are platinum and this is the gift we received on our Vancouver to Hawaii cruise in September. We received the bag, scrapbook and umbrella on the Dream in July. Guess it may depend on the ship.

We were on the second Hawaii cruise last month, when we got into our room there was a silver beach bag and a photo album on our bed and we are platinum. I thought it was strange that we had been given that bag. Later on in the evening when I went down to Guest Services to put my rewards card on our account, I told the girl that we had received a silver bag and not the platinum one. She told me that had not gotten the shipment of gold or platinum gifts but were working on it.
She wrote my name and cabin number on a sheet of paper. The next day when we got back to our room there was a bottle of wine and note on our bed telling us to enjoy the wine and the cruise. 2 days later we came back and there was a Hawaii Disney beach towel and another note. Maybe 2 days later we had a message on the phone saying they were sorry but no platinum bags were going to make it before the end of the cruise. I wasn't expecting the bag and was much happier with the beach towel anyway. The last night they left us a lithograph with Lilo and Stitch that is a lovely reminder of this great cruise.

The gifts are not switched out annually. Just whenever DCL want to change them. Typically the gift is a bag (beach, sling pack, backpack) of some sort as the basic gift.

The gift? It's automatically in your room once you board. Sometimes we've not gotten our gift until the second day.

But does DCL track that you are returning to earn different levels? Or do you sign up to attain those each time you cruise?
