2016 Eat To The Beat Concert Series

I read that they will offer dining packages again this year but it said on the dining plan that it will be two dining credits, is this true? That seems like a very steep price for a ticket to a "free" show.

Someone tweeted at the BoDeans and asked them what dates they will be there. They didn't say, but they did say to check out epcotfoodfestival.com starting July 11 for festival lineup info. So....looks like maybe July 11 as someone previously mentioned may truly be the date. I won't even be able to stalk all the sites because I'm having surgery that day. Lol

Good luck with your surgery. I'm sure that we will have all the scoop on here for you when you return :flower1:

All of this waiting has driven me to a lot of unnecessary analysis.

Per Disney Food Blogs and assuming Fuel's website is just posting the beginning day because them performing one day makes no sense. I am guessing there are 9-10 bands/artists left to place in the schedule. I determined this from assuming bands perform either 2 or 3 days. So the unscheduled blocks are the following:

9/21 - 9/23 - 3 Day Performer
9/29 - 9/30 - 2 Day Performer
10/5 - 10/6 - 2 Day Performer
10/14 - 10/16 - 3 Day Performer
10/24 - 11/3 - 11 Days - Either 3/3/3/2 or 3/2/2/2/2
11/7 - 11/9 - 3 Day Performer

Given Facts:

Per Twitter from the TIW Food and Wine Festival preview event there will be 8 new performers. We know 6 of those performers already: Wang Chung (scheduled), Plain White T's (scheduled), Toad the Wet Sprocket (Scheduled), Delta Rae (Scheduled), BoDeans (NOT Scheduled), Living Colour (Not Scheduled). That gives two other new performers. According to Disboard poster Accident, one of those new performers could be a boy band (Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, O-Town, or New Kids On The Block). The last new artist/band remains a mystery. So that is 4 of the 9 or 10 not scheduled performers.

Confirmed Per The Preview Pamphlet: Boyz II Men and Hanson and I believe a poster mentioned Hanson playing around the time that you wear masks aka Halloween (Not MNSSHP b/c you can't wear masks cue the lol) 2 of the 9 or 10.

Possible From Disboard poster Accident: Tiffany and Blues Traveler. 2 of the 9 or 10.

With these given facts we are at 8 of the 9 or 10 remaining artists.

My Opinion For Other Artist/Bands:

Given Eat To The Beat recent history, Smash Mouth and Pointer Sisters have performed in a lot of consecutive ETTB concert series since basically 2012.

Other potential returning artists: Rick Springfield, Everclear, Night Ranger, or Gin Blossoms. However, Night Ranger and Gin Blossoms have been performing at the Flower and Garden concert series.

Survivor may be another potential returning artist because they were scheduled per Disney Food Blogs for a little bit.

However, there is only 1 - 2 slots remaining so my money is on 1) Smash Mouth then 2) Pointer Sisters

My predicted schedules:

9 Artist Schedule

9/21 - 9/23 - New Artist
9/29 - 9/30 - Tiffany / Living Colour
10/5 - 10/6 - Tiffany / Living Colour
10/14 - 10/16 - BoDeans
10/24 - 10/26 - Smash Mouth
10/27 - 10/29 - Boy Band
10/30 - 11/1 - Hanson
11/2 - 11/3 - Blues Traveler
11/7 - 11/9 - Boys II Men

10 Artist Schedule

9/21 - 9/23 - New Artist
9/29 - 9/30 - Pointer Sisters / Living Colour
10/5 - 10/6 - Pointer Sisters / Living Colour
10/14 - 10/16 - Smash Mouth
10/24 - 10/25 - Tiffany
10/26 - 10/28 - Boy Band
10/29 - 10/30 - Hanson
10/31 - 11/1 - BoDean
11/2 - 11/3 - Blues Traveler
11/7 - 11/9 - Boys II Men

Again this is purely over analysis, opinion, and based on given facts, history, and opinions.

Yes, it is two credits each. We did it the first year they had the packages in 2014 (didn't go last year). You do get an appetizer that you don't normally get on the dining plan with the package. It was probably because it was the first year but it was kind of a crapshoot as to the location when you get let in for the seats. We did it to get good seats for the Hanson shows. The first night we did it they were letting the people with those free passes from the Chase visa lounge (can't remember what they are called)in before the dining package. Which we and others who had paid good money (or credits) for the dining package thought was ridiculous. We complained and they gave us passes to another show that night. The seats ended up starting about 2-3 rows back from the stage, if you were one of the first people in line. I would do it again for good seats like that but if its not guaranteed its not really worth it. I think they advertise it as a way to get "guaranteed seats" and not nessecarily the best seats. Maybe things were different/better in 2015 and someone can comment on that.

Wow, this is a really well-thought out analysis! Hey if you live in Tulsa, can you just go over to Hanson's office and ask them when they are going to play? haha :)

I just hope that the boy band rumor is true. I mean I'd even take O-Town. Obviously Backstreet Boys is a stretch. 98 Degrees or New Kids on the Block would be good too. However, the other new artist I hope is a strong one like Third Eye Blind, Eve 6, etc some artist in that range.

It sounds like Hanson will be around Halloween, so I am guessing anywhere between 10/29 - 11/2

A friend did the dining package for David Cook last year and said it was a waste of her $ as she had horrible seats since FP+ , Chase, FanClub and Disabled got first dibs before dining package

I'd be happy with NKOTB but I don't think they'd do this event.

If you thought the fans for Hanson were next-level crazy, the New Kids fans are nuttier. There's just no way Disney would want to deal with that.

I love Hanson, but so many of their fans really are crazy, lol. At the last concert I went to, I was like "man, some of these people really can't seem to get beyond 1997" :lmao:

SO TRUE! Haha, We were just sure Disney would never want to have Hanson back after the first year in 2010 just so they wouldn't have to deal with all the crazy. Guess they don't mind!

I think we all suspect Hanson of being sometime around Halloween now, so if I can't have them, I really want Blues Traveler. Do we think they could be a potential 3 day act? Pretty sure that 9/21-23 slot will only be one artist...

Why must Disney torture us like this??? I think maybe they enjoy watching us all speculate and drive ourselves crazy over all the possibilities

@Goofy2015 food and wine starts on sept 14 so your missing part of your schedule. They did confirm who starts it off during the event and I think that was Wang Chung.

Also if you look at the cover (the very last booklet image in my event report) you'll see it's only select friday and saturdays at least for the taste your way around the world part but I can't see them donig the rest if some weekends there is no taste your way around the world.

Agreed! Though my 9 year old would flip. She LOVES New Kids.

I'm just happy to hear there are other Hanson fans on the boards!! I guess I'll be too early to catch them this time, since we are going to be there 10/9-10/15. Bummer. That would have been icing on an amazing vacation cake!!

Blues Traveler could possibly be a 3 day act because some artist like Hanson and Boyz II Men have switched between 2 and 3 day acts. That could be a solid spot for a new artist that may not be known yet or a boy band.
