Meghan Markle Pregnant!

True may woman get pregnant with no help later in life. But ask any gyno, your chances Signifcantely decrease over 30.. It is a simple FACT women should be aware of, when planning. It's a bit a lie how celebrities are having twins, babies over 40 and then a young woman thinks, hey then I can have my 20s and 30s to do whatever and THEN I can think about kids.. For her it might be too late.

The longer you wait the higher the chances you wont get pregnant. We wanted to wait but my Dr. said each year reduces a woman's chance by 3 or 4 %. We like to think the odds are in our favor, but they are not. some got lucky. Same gyno on the other hand tells me now at 44 that I still need to be on birth control.. He said my odds are slim to none, but many "slims" have gotten pregnant.. the few % seem far off, unless it happens to you. I had two friends have kids with 36 and 38, but both were on clomithine ??.

This data about fertility and the cliff that occurs at 37 is considered out dated. My sister in law is a high risk obgyn and the new scientific approach is to evaluate each women’s fertility based on a review of her individual history, family history, genetics, and tests from a review of her egg health. Some women struggle with fertility in their later 30s, but the previous data that it slides for 4% a year (until its at 5% at age 40) is actually not supported by medical data. The medical industry is very careful not to refer to things as FACTS...there is very little facts and more “non unproven theory”

Congrats to the happy couple! I don't see a huge deal if they shared the news with some family members at the wedding. At least they kept the public announcement until today.

I personally think they should have had their dog announce it on a trip down Splash Mountain. But they're royal, so probably stuffy about things like that.

I do agree it is a fact that fertility declines after 30. I speak from my own experience, have my first 2 on my late 20’s and I was done. Now 38 and had a baby without taking any drugs, on the pill. Dr wasn’t surprised and now I got my tubes tied, still some women get pregnant after getting their tube tied also :scared:

I know two people who were born after their mom had her tubes tied.

I can’t even imagine a surprise like that, especially at an older age. I have no tubes and no oven so I hope I’m safe LOL

I just find it amazing that at her age, 37 she was able to get pregnant right away. Granted so did I and many of my friends, one month off of stopping the pill..but I was 29/30.

Reality is once you hit mid 30s,, your odds are really against you rather you want to admit this or not..
There is medical reasons why having later may make it more difficult to conceive but conversely I know many younger women who miscarried so maybe they have 2 or 3 kids by age 37 but they've also had 1,2,3,etc miscarriages in the meanttime. I've also known a couple of women who tragically had still births but went on to have more children later on.

Mother-in-law had my husband, her eldest, at age 34/35, her next child at age 36/37 and her 3rd child at age 42 if my memory serves me correctly-no help whatsoever. She has had at least 1 miscarriage to our knowledge (long ago though).

So many things influence fertility rates that age is but one aspect of it.

Yes you should be aware but if you're getting your fertility odds from watching celebrities..that's a larger issue to discuss.

My friend had fertility issues when she was young, the older she got the easier it was for her to get pregnant. She got pregnant with her third when she was 38, and that was while she was on BC pills. After that surprise her dh took matters in to his own hands LOL

I don't really follow all the Royal goings on but I figured they were going to start a family sooner rather than later. IIRC she had something about that right after the wedding. I hope they have a girl, for some reason I picture them with a house full of princesses.

They're saving the dog on Splash Mountain for the gender reveal.

How comes the media tend to use the common names for Prince Harry and Prince William's wives? Is it because the headline "The Duchess of Sussex Announces Pregnancy" wouldn't get any clicks because normies wouldn't know who that is?

Excuse me.....
I was married in March (age 37) and pregnant by June. After having that baby, I was pregnant again by December. And pregnant 2 more times in the next 4 years.

Yes, "odds are against you", but certainly not insurmountable.

Never said insurmountable. Just stating medical fact that a woman in her mid 30’s is not as fertile as a younger woman statistically speaking. There is no guarentee at any age ( a woman in her 20’s can have issues).

I dont know about the alimony, Sarah only got $350,000

‘only’

I get your point..the Royals can certain afford more but $350,000 is still $350,000. And, was that pounds or converted to American dollars?

lmao So funny

When I heard the announcement I assumed they told family when they did because they were pretty immediately taking off on a tour and knew it would be noticed and reported. Then I saw photos of her on tour in a slim silhouette dress where she doesn't even look like she had a big lunch. It was inconsiderate to hijack the spotlight at someone else's wedding, especially someone you supposedly love and care for.

I wish them nothing but the best with their new baby, but the wedding day should have been about the bride and groom and celebrating their future and happiness -- the same thing that was just afforded Harry and Meghan only a couple months ago.
