Got caught up in the AMEX staples chargebacks. They caught that DH got credit for both his own biz card plus his employee card attached to my account So far they're at $65, but we pretty much maxed it on both cards. Ah well, mainly I'm annoyed because I thought we were in the clear by now.

So both cards are in his login?

Hes got an employee card for my biz card, but it's under his normal amex login so I guess that's what got us. I thought they'd look at my biz plus his employee card since the credits go on the same account, if that makes sense.

So both cards are in his login?

Yeah, that must have been our issue.

The 125K Lux points posted, so I guess we met MSR on that card, which was the final one of the huge 4 card MSR we took on in Nov/Dec. Phew. Now I can concentrate on DD's tiny MSR for her CFU and then the Hyatt card when it finally arrives (it's taking f o r e v e r to get here).

I was so excited about the idea of MSing without MO's but DH is opposed to using Venmo. He said they are not secure (I can't argue this stuff since he does tech all day) and that the FTC agrees that they have put their customers at risk. So I'll have to give up on that one. Not worth it if he is really against it. Oh well... I wanted to slow down anyway. Sort of.

6 months ago you all thought I was an old retired guy (or woman...ugh some of you ). Now you think I’m a millennial loser leeching off my parents hahahaha.

I have only been to Raiforest Cafe in suburban Chicago, but they have the worst service and seating ever. Seriously have a wait time at least an hour every time we go and once you get seated, there are empty tables everywhere. We went when DS was younger but haven’t been in a couple years because of the wait, even as a Landry’s member.

We enjoyed the RFCs at WDW, but when we tried the one in SFO when DD was little she ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and they told us they were out of them. I asked if they had bread. I asked if they had cheese (I mean, you could still order a cheeseburger that day). They did, but nope they were out of grilled cheese kids sandwiches. Needless to say we never went back. I've been to the one in downtown Chicago and it was just ok.

This SW companion pass thing is stressing me out!

I applied for and was approved for the SW Biz on 12/9

I was an idiot and applied for the Premier on a flight on 12/28. Was denied because I already had the card! Cancelled the card from 5 years ago on 1/1.

I'm going to apply for the Plus card but I was waiting a bit after the last application.

My plan was to either apply with the posted links from the inflight offer for 50000 points or to just do the normal 40,000 point offer and refer my DH to the card for the last 10,000 points.

The new CP offer is making me worry! I don't want the one year offer that came out today.

I'm currently at 1/30 with Chase. Should I quickly use one of the links for the 50,000 offer? Wait?

Ugh, I "need" the CP for a mid May trip.

Has anyone used their Barclay arrival to fund PNC? I have seen 2 people on different boards, one said it went through as a purchase and the other said it went through as a cash advance.

Looking to see if anyone has done it on this board. I’m trying to do a low spend January and it might take awhile to meet the $5000 spend.

That was my goal until I couldn’t get the app to go through. I called Barclay and had them set my cash advance to $0. They were very clear that I wouldn’t be able to get the cash advance back. Not that I care since I have never used a cash advance on my CC.

Thanks again to everyone who posted about how a van may not be covered with the CSR rental insurance. I looked into it and it is not. The exclusions spell out any vans designed to transport more than 9 people. I guess my plan at this point is to rent Suburban (under Costco rental car premium SUV) and hope Alamo has one that will seat 9. If not then I will figure it out. I still need to have DH call to upgrade his Freedom back to the CSR. I tried to SM just because not out anything. They said it was possible to do it but had to call.

OMG!!! My Dh messaged me asking if I ordered a new Apple Watch from Walmart!!! Why would I do that when I just got an apple watch on black friday? Somehow someone got into our walmart account and ordered an apple watch for $529 with my Amex. The dumb part is they shipped it to our house! Why would you use someone else's account to order something and ship it to their house? Doesn't make any sense. Dh changed his password for his Walmart account and we cancelled the order.

That in flight 50k offer has been pretty consistent. I can’t sit here and 100% say you’re fine to wait but my general sense is don’t get too worried. This new offer could just be Chase trying something new out. They do this from time to time.

This. I have always found great options the night before I want to eat somewhere b/c of the 24 hour cancellations. I hardly ever make ADRs ahead of time now...just use this method.

When I wanted a couple ADRs 2 years ago, I couldn’t get either no matter when I checked. I was checking from the parks and hotel up until 11 pm night before and then morning of. I rarely make ADRs but last year made 4 which we decided was too many. I never have luck with last minute ADRs

Yeah but Spring Break is various dates in March and April. DS school has Spring Break 3/23-3/30 but April 21 is Easter so many schools here, especially Catholic schools, have Spring Break 4/19-4/28, so end of April.

Our Spring Break is a pathetic 2 days. The Fri and Mon at Easter since it is state mandated. Can’t wait until next year with private school and having an actual Spring Break. Although we might not be able to afford to travel with the expense of tuition.

I recommended this offer to my aunt b/c she is not going to open two SW cards, and definitely not a biz one. I've been trying to get her to open a CIP for a couple of years and she just won't pull the trigger. She loves UR's but something about a biz card bothers her. So, this latest SW offer is good for someone like her. She isn't going to attain CP any other way, so why not get it with one card, even if only for less than a year and only 30k points??

I have not had great luck last minute either but I attributed it to us being a larger fam plus many of our trips have been with grandparents or my aunt & uncle.

I wish we knew we were going 6 mos out so we could book then but we usually don't.
