What a pretty restaurant. That view is amazing! Your food looks so good and great value at 1 credit on your plan. Love a cheese plate so that won me over right at the start :thumbsup2

We were so impressed with Toledo, the waiter, not so much. Overall, a great experience and would totally go back...

I am drooling over that cheese plate....yum, yum, yum! Definitely putting Toledo on my list!
OMG Suse! That cheese plate was so good. Yes, add Toledo to your list.

Our Last Disney Day Before the World Shut Down...😱

Let me start by saying last Disney days are always the worst. But, this one wasn't too bad because we thought we'd be back at the end of May to bring Tim down for his 3rd DCP. Well, we all know that didn't happen...Instead, life changed for just about everybody. Most of us had stay at home orders issued. Some of us saw our family and friends get very sick and others lost family and friends to this horrible virus that has had an impact on just about everyone I know in some sort of capacity...

Friends were furloughed or worse, lost their jobs...The unemployment rate in the United States skyrocketed. Protests and riots happened all over our beautiful country wreaking havoc and devastation...

We now have to social distance and wear masks when we go out in public. Who would have thought???

But, enough of all that depressing crap...Life is starting to get better for us in Illinois (and hopefully around the rest of the world very soon). We are now in Stage 4/5, which means, we can do just about everything if we social distance and wear our masks. We can actually sit in a restaurant to eat. We can get our hair and nails done. Heck, we can even get a massage if we want to. Our COVID numbers are decreasing, which is also very good. Now, if we could just get a darn vaccination!!!

This whole ordeal has taught me a lot though. There's so much I took for granted that I will never take for granted again. Life is very precious and I appreciate every opportunity I am given, every friend that I have, and my wonderful family. I am going to take more time to slow down and smell the roses.

Back to our last Disney day...Joe and I had already packed up our stuff the night before. Thank goodness Joe's mom let us borrow an extra suitcase or we would have been buying one. LOL! We got ready, loaded up the car, and drove over to our very last restaurant of the trip, Olivia's. This has always been a favorite of ours. This time, not so much. I had to send back my eggs because they were cold and the service was just awful. It really pains me to say that we won't be back any time soon.

We did some last-minute shopping in DS too before heading off to the airport.

Our flight was on time and uneventful, just the way I like them.

Disney World shut down a few days after we got back...Who knew toilet paper would be in high demand...

But, it's open again and I am sooooo excited to be heading back in just 8 days. I'm also grateful that I was able to finish up this TR before we left...I'm sorry I don't have any pics from Olivia's but I literally just deleted them from my phone by accident. But, I promise I will have a lot more to share in the upcoming weeks.

Joe and I are going into this Disney trip with very low expectations. We know things will be much different and we have tried to prepare for that. One AWESOME thing that's going to happen on this trip is that we are meeting up with some very good friends and I can't wait to tell you all who that is...I will give you a hint...She's my favorite redhead and her husband has a shrimp dish named after him at Flower and Garden...

I will post a few more YouTube vlogs on this TR hopefully before we leave next Friday. Then, I will have a whole new report to share with you all...

So, thank you so much for following along and commenting. I have enjoyed "talking" with all of you. Please continue to like, subscribe and comment on our YouTube vlogs because it REALLY helps our channel to thrive and grow...❤

Have a great trip!!! Can't wait to hear all about...

Glad your numbers are going down... Ours are skyrocketing... Or governor doesn't believe in face masks... Thank goodness the businesses do believe in them and are starting to require them...

Our school board holds their meeting via zoom because it's not safe for those 8 people to be in the same room for 30 minutes, but yet they're still planning on sending the kids to school in a couple weeks and think having them in the same building for 7 hours is very safe... :scared1:

That seems so wrong. I'm so sorry.

This is exactly what Bill and I were saying last night. We had just finished a 5k hike through the trails at the club and were sitting relaxing with a bevvie as we looked over the water and we both said "wow, we are so lucky to have this and each other." Cherished friends and family make it all worthwhile. :goodvibes

Oh my goodness.....even with all the changes you are going to have the best time and I can't wait to hear all about it! Thanks for another super fun report! ♥

We really have been blessed and it's going to be a priority to not ever take some these things for granted ever again.

Here's hoping!!!

Great review of Toledo. I have to agree with the service as opposed to the price you're paying in Disney. Our service in December was hit or miss. Hopefully since the crowds are lower the service will be better. I felt the servers were over stressed and rushed. My youngest is working her way through college as a server so we always give them the benefit of the doubt, but poor service is poor service.

Looking forward to your next report.

This is EXACTLY how we felt and are hoping the lower crowds make a difference.

Looking forward to your next report.
Thank you!

The world sure did take a turn! I'm glad you got to visit one last time before things got crazy. And I hope you have a fun and safe upcoming trip!!
We were very fortunate!
We leave in 7 days and I'm so excited!
How are the wedding plans going with all this COVID nonsense???

Sorry to read about Olivia's...we have only done dinner there (a few years ago) and I wasn't in a hurry to return.

So glad you loved TOLEDO...it is definitely at the top of our list for a return when it's open again. Sorry your server wasn't great...we did love ours.

Can't wait to read about the next trip...or the post COVID trip for you!

Hi Dina! This trip is going to be soooooo different, so going in with very low expectations. I've been watching a lot of vloggers complaining about long wait times and rides that keep breaking...I am looking forward to the lower crowds at some of the restaurants.

Enjoyed your TR! Hope your state's numbers keep going down - it's always worrisome when states reopen too soon. Keep safe on your upcoming trip! Glad you will be meeting up with some friends which will be not the same as before with all the social distancing guidelines unfortunately but at least 6 feet apart you should be able to have some good conversations.
