    Current wait time surprisingly low?

I’ve seen the recent reports in the drop in park attendance. We’ve gone as a family every 2 to 3 years since 2003. We were last at WDW in November 2021 as part of the post-Covid wave (our previous trip was in 2018). The place was packed, was more expensive and we had to deal with multiple...

Park Overcrowding, is it Disney’s Fault

Disney controls how many people are in each park, each day, via the reservation system. If a park is overcrowded, isn’t that Disney’s fault?

Another fight and no one to stop it.

Fighting over a showing of Mickey’s PhilharMagic? Sure Rise of the Resistance or Flight of Passage but not this!

Using memory maker in the parks - how does it work?

A word of caution…we’ve loved the pictures we got via Memory Maker but during our last trip in November (2021) we found the number photographers in the parks greatly reduced. They were missing from many places we saw them before or we had to wait in long lines to get a picture. The number of...

Genie Plus, a must for busy days.

I’ll be clear, I don‘t like the system at all, but sadly it’s necessary. Rather than increase capacity (a fifth park), Disney has created ways to make more money off of each guest. For us, it means taking an honest look at how much more a Disney trip is and looking at other options. So...

Genie Plus, a must for busy days.

We are pretty experienced with the parks, we targeted the big rides and just built out from there.

    Pop Skyliner

Really…we were staying at The Swan and walked past the Skyliner station outside the Epcot International Gateway after the park closed on two different occasions during our recent November trip. Both times, the line (appeared to us) to be quite long and growing as we passed. The Skyliner cars...

    Figment Popcorn Bucket Insanity

Let me add, people who fall off of cliffs trying to take a selfies are less stupid.

    Figment Popcorn Bucket Insanity

I love Disney but this is truly the most stupid thing I have ever heard of anyone doing in a Disney Park. Sorry, but these people are idiots. When I first read this I thought it was a story from the Onion. DUMB, DUMB, DUMB

Genie Plus, a must for busy days.

By noon on Saturday the standby line at the Haunted Mansion was close to an hour, which is an unacceptable time for me. Other big rides (Pirates, Big Thunder and Jungle) were all about the same. With G+ we were able to do all of those in much less time. It's not fear mongering, we only go...

Genie Plus, a must for busy days.

We didn't have any problems finding available G+ bookings. I booked Soarin for a window starting at 8:00 pm at about 6:00 pm on a fairly busy day.

Genie Plus, a must for busy days.

We just got back from a trip to WDW (11/06 to 11/13). Genie Plus was convenient on quieter days, it was essential on busy days. Crowds grew was the long weekend (Veteran's Day was on Thursday) and wait times for decent attractions approached an hour by mid-day. Booking the first pass at...

    Tried non-branded hotel, big mistake

We just got back from a week's stay in Orlando, two days at Universal and five at WDW. In order to save a few bucks on the Universal portion of the trip we booked three nights at the Grand Hotel Orlando on Universal Boulevard, big mistake. The place looked run down with peeling paint and...

Swan & Dolphin Transportation to Parks

Somewhat related, does an Uber/Lyft to the MK drop you off at the TTC or the park itself

Swan & Dolphin Transportation to Parks

How is the bus service to the parks? Does it make sense to walk over to a nearby Disney Resort and use their buses to MK and AK?

Fall On-Site Hotel Prices - Why So High?

The Dolphin for the same time is $270/night. Given most of the advantages of staying onsite are gone that might be the direction we will go.

Fall On-Site Hotel Prices - Why So High?

I was looking at on-site hotel prices for the second week in November and the cheapest price was $470/night. Why is it so high and will it come down?

Is there an advantage to stay onsite anymore?

Agreed but that is probably the only perk left.
