    Preparing for trip post transplant

As to wiping down rides I wouldn’t be concerned about death stares so much as the rides that load on a cycle may not allow time for you to do that and then get in and secured if applicable.

New Year's Eve Crowds and Children with Sensory Processing Issues

On NYE the Poly beach is for resort guests only. No clue about the GF but we’ve watched from the marina before.

    Likelihood of Connecting Rooms

In October we took a family trip. My sister booked 2 rooms at POFQ for her family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids under 5) and requested connecting rooms. Upon checking in, she had two rooms next to each other without the connecting door. Luckily, they had put my parents into the room that did connect...

    Jet Blue

I would consider the option of using the window seat if feasible. It’s impossible to say how someone might feel if your husband can’t move for them, but there’s a fair chance that person may have an urgent situation and may have to physically climb over your husband. If that could cause stress...

    Bathroom question

As a woman, I think you are FAR MORE likely to have a woman complain about a man in the ladies room than the other way around. I’ve had men come out of the men’s room and see a long line at the ladies and suggest we use theirs. I’m sure for OP and her husbands sake the companion restrooms...

Crohns and DAS = denied. MODERATOR NOTE: No diagnosis is automatically allowed or denied for DAS. DAS is issued based on needs, not diagnosis

Since a Drs note is neither required nor requested by Disney for DAS, at this moment it’s irrelevant to the discussion. However, This is the best way to explain it to those not working directly with covered entities to explain it. HIPAA is about protecting patients from disclosure by their...

Crohns and DAS = denied. MODERATOR NOTE: No diagnosis is automatically allowed or denied for DAS. DAS is issued based on needs, not diagnosis

HIPAA has nothing to do with it. That only applies to health care providers and similar entities disclosing medical information. There is no prohibition on you disclosing your own. Disney doesn’t request medical documentation for a variety of reasons, but HIPAA isn’t one of them.

Lawsuit at Disneyland - woman who fell when exiting Jungle Cruise boat

I believe if someone needs more than a steadying hand, they have to call for EMS to assist. (Someone may have more info on this) The CMs literally cannot step in to help someone. If a guest trips and falls into a CM, do I think they’re going to shove them aside? No. But if they’re in the IASW...

Lawsuit at Disneyland - woman who fell when exiting Jungle Cruise boat

Oh I’m well aware of that. My spouse is a lawyer 😉. My point was we can’t really judge their motivations for filing against Disney specifically and we don’t know if they also sued the other entities. My gut feeling is this will settle, even though I did see Disney requested a jury trial.

Lawsuit at Disneyland - woman who fell when exiting Jungle Cruise boat

Is it also possible that the CMs who may have been laughing weren’t even observing this situation? I haven’t been to Disneyland but in WDW there are often upwards of 6 cast members on the dock where guests unload. Usually one stands at each entrance to the boat with a foot on the dock and a foot...

Worried about taking advantage of the system

No one here can really tell you what to do, but it comes down to what makes sense for your family. I have a very common, prevalent, chronic condition that I need to monitor closely, especially when I travel. Because it can be affected by heat, stress, exercises, what I eat, if I get a cold...

Gastroparesis & Autism related restrictive diets: Do better Disney!

You have every right to post on a forum. You do not then get to dictate how people respond. Literally not up to you. It seems this is a sensitive issue for you. Makes sense. But you’re not obligated to eat in these restaurants. Or any restaurant really. Disney makes it pretty easy to bring in...

NO ROOM FOR ECV ON BUS

I saw a number of the large tour buses at MK closing on 11/1 and again in the evening (but not quite at closing) when we left on 11/2. So they are still around.

    Pre Board Questions

I doubt you’d have a problem getting approved to pre board. At my airport (PHL) passengers need to approach the stands in the gate area (not necessarily the podium by the gate door but there are other manned southwest desks with gate agents in the area) and ask for the pre boarding document...

Diabetic Question: Before I go down the DAS road.

But, admittedly this is a rare instance. For many of us, after initial diagnosis we are able to understand our condition better and adjust our plans as needed. It sounds like DAS is appropriate for your husband. There are many for whom it is. I think the CMs could probably be better trained to...

Diabetic Question: Before I go down the DAS road.

Diabetic here myself. And while I understand your point, a myriad of things can be different from trip to trip that could necessitate anyone needing a DAS once and then not subsequently. In the specific example of Diabetes, this condition is life-long, but changes in diet, exercise, and/or...

Large group - DAS? - So many questions!

If you are a DAS-holder, you cannot be added to a return time requested by another DAS holder. You’d need to request your own return time.

DAS for Under 3 at Disneyland

this is not accurate. People can only be on one DAS return at a time, but can be linked to two (or more) DAS holders. (Think about a family of 4 with two kids that need DAS for different reasons. Each parent can be linked to both DAS passes but each child can not be listed on the other’s. If...

    Food intolerence

At the end of the day, whether it’s a food intolerance or an allergy, the fact is that there are certain foods people cannot have. NO ONE should be shaming people about how they choose to communicate that information to people who are not medical experts and to whom the reason makes no...
