Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Shopping and Merchandise: Savi’s, Droid Depot and More!

We are planning to come in February and my DH and DS really want to do the lightsaber build. I saw some notices on DFB that the lightsaber building experience was on hold and folks were just brought in to buy a prebuilt legacy saber, but that was a while ago. Anyone that's been recently, are...

Which actors can you not stand?

This is one of my favorite stories that runs counter to your argument. Tom Morello is the guitarist for Rage against the Machine. Someone you would likely dismiss their opinion on politics. Who also happens to have a poly sci degree from Harvard. You can put artists into a box if you want, but...

Which actors can you not stand?

OK I tried to trudge through the posts but couldn't get past one more "actors should just shut up and entertain". Mayim Bialik has a PhD in Neuroscience Danica McKellar (Winnie from The Wonder Years) is a mathematician who authored a theorem with two other mathematicians Graham Chapman (of...

Which actors can you not stand?

Same for me. I can tolerate him when he voices an animated character, but not if he's just acting in person

How long are droid depot and lightsaber build events?

ROTR wasn't open when I was there last year, so I'll leave that to someone who's been recently :)

How long are droid depot and lightsaber build events?

They both take about 20 minutes once you're in the room. IIRC Savi's requires you to check in 15 minutes ahead of time, though post-covid might be a little different. I would plan 30-40 minutes for each to allow for arrival and exit time and walking between/to whatever is next on your agenda.

    Meal Sharing and/or kids meals

You can also add a dietary note to any TS reservations. I believe there is room to add manual notes where you could indicate a medical condition that requires you to eat very small meals. If you prefer a ground meal because of a chewing issue you could request that too.

    Expensive Flights

I'm finding the same for February vacation out of Boston. Flights are crazy expensive, to the point that we're strongly considering driving down instead of flying. I've been able to snag Delta flights for under $500 for four of us round trip - I am seeing even SW at $1700 for four round trips...

Why can't DAS return times be booked through My Disney Experience?

It can't be treated like a Fastpass because that would be unfair access to a fourth fastpass reservation for DAS users. The whole concept is to provide equitable access to a ride for someone who cannot wait in the line for non-mobility reasons. A regular rider without a fastpass for that ride...

119 days until our February return home - assuming things are in decent enough shape by then LOL

Cruise and Theme Park Operational Updates due to Coronavirus

Ride times are actually shorter without fastpass (this isn't just me guessing, others who are far more data oriented than I both here on the DIS and at some of the more reputable Disney blogs have crunched those numbers). FP is what creates the logjams/long wait times in the standby line. And...

    A Day at Disney

Way too many variables to really offer decent advice. Have you already checked the airlines to see if you can get nonstop flights in the morning? If not you could be getting on a plane at 6:30am and not landing until after noon due to layovers. Have you checked into when the latest flight home...

    Websites better than Amazon

I always price compare between Target, Amazon, Walmart and any other retailers that offer delivery for what I need. And I go through Rakuten for the rebates if they're available. Groceries, I'll still go get myself unless I'm strapped for time, then I find that delivery through Target works...

Guardians to replace UoE and Ratatouille coming to Epcot

I think as of right now they are still aiming to open for the anniversary in 2021, but in COVID times that is subject to change at any time. I'd say they are likely to open next year as long as there are no major construction delays (either due to materials, labor, or anything else), AND there...

    Ticket Question

As far as waiting until you get down there - that's likely mostly because if you need to cancel or reschedule your trip for any reason, you're better off not making any changes until you're 100% certain that you'll go. RE: Your last sentence - if you make any changes to your existing tickets...
