“Frozen Ever After Dessert Party” with Fireworks Viewing and After-Close Attraction Ride

Can anyone tell me if any refunds are available for this party? My family of 5 has two possible nights for this event, and as long as it matches up, we are a definite. My parents, on the other hand, would join us if it is on Nov. 28. The other night, Nov 30, they have California Grill fireworks dinner ADR. My mom and dad's first real trip for just them, so I don't want to tell them to forego it, even though it would be their 4th MK fireworks of the week. Between my TA and me, we will book right away when it opens. I will try to get an answer from my folks on their prefernpre decision, if needed, but can I book for 7 and then drop 2 later in the day if the only matching date is Nov 30 and they decide to stick with CG?

Went to the party last night on the 4th. It was great. They took a group of us through the fast pass line before the party started because going against the tidal wave of crowds after the party would be very difficult. We aren’t huge fans of the ride so that was fine for us. We had the inside version thankfully because a lightening storm went through during the party and at firework time. Our party ended up being extended until 9:40. The drinks were pretty strong so I only had 1 (I’m a lightweight). It was nice to chat with some other people at or table. People who wanted to could ride the frozen ride during the delay. They said we could ride again but since we really aren’t frozen fans and we were enjoying conversation with our table mates we declined. They led us to the reserved area 10 min before the show and it was amazing! Almost a dead on center view. Most of the other people had to stand saving their spots in the storm and we walked right up to an open area. The rail was pretty full when we got there but I got my daughter a place on the rail and I stood behind her. Amazing view of a firework show that was beyond spectacular! It was really our first time seeing illuminations which was beautiful but the after fireworks show literally took my breath away. For the finale we honestly thought they made a mistake and all the fireworks went off at once. It wasn’t a mistake and it was awesome. Never saw the sky lit up like that with fireworks - you felt all those booms in your chest. The viewing spot and amazing show made it worth every penny we spent. The party food was good and even though we didn’t eat during the delay we could have. I did grab a cup of hot tea to take to the show. They were very generous with food and drinks during the extra long party. There was a woman (management I assume) who kept us informed of when the fireworks would happen. We honestly felt like VIP’s at both the party and show. Terrific event. Would definitely do again especially in July4!

FastPasser: We have dessert party reservations for Sunday, July 15, would love for you to stop by our table and say "Hi" We will be a party of 7, 4 adults, 3 kiddos, I'll be the old guy, lol, someone in the party will be wearing a red Nebraska shirt.

If she had a British accent, it was the manager in charge of the party and she is one of the nicest people I know.

And I would love to, but unfortunately it's a weekend party which means I'm off.
I'll be the old guy
We have that in common.

I have a Nebraska sweatshirt. Spent a week there one winter, what great folks.

She did have a British accent and was lovely. She escorted us through the fast pass line and took us up after we rode. She came to every table and discussed the bad weather situation and kept everyone updated. She was so sweet and seemed very good at her job. We appreciated her and all the employees at the party very much. They treated the party guests so well. We felt like royalty

Booked for Monday July 30th for my daughters 5th birthday! It will be me, wife, son 7 and daughter 5.

It’s our first dessert party at WDW. Super excited!

Does anyone know if they're holding this party in September? The dates haven't been posted yet, and it's getting close to that 2 month mark. Just wanted to be prepared for my trip and figure out if I need to book a FP for Frozen.

Based on the previous posts in this thread, I would say yes, it is going to be held in September.

We (2 adults and a 4 yr old) attended the Frozen Dessert party last December and we all loved it (including my husband). The snowflake viewers are cool year round but it was really festive in December right before Christmas. We are hoping dates open up when we return this October (we loved it enough to do again). We also attended the Dessert Party at Magic Kingdom and it was good but didn't love it enough to do again. Glad to experience it once though. I plan to take my nieces to Disney in December of 2019 and, if the Frozen Dessert party is still running in 2019, I will have to take them to it (They love frozen just like my daughter). Crossing my fingers to experience the Frozen party 3 years in a row but grateful I got to at least experience it in 2017.

I'm not planning on doing this until late November, so I wouldn't worry about dates not opening until around Labor Day, but it is a little concerning that dates are not open for those within 60 days yet, especially since this contains a valuable FP replacement.

I’m like 11 days from my FP window. So I’m just hoping it opens up before then so I can plan if I need to use a FP+ for FEE or not.

I'm already past my FP+ window, so I've just booked whatever I could get my hands on :P There wasn't much choices as I was stuck at work when the booking opened. I'll just book the dessert party when it becomes available, I'm not too bothered about changing my plans if I need to.

How difficult has this dessert party been for people to book? Is it like Be Our Guest where it books up immediately, or does it usually take awhile?

That's the boat I'm in too. I want to use the FP+ for Soarin' if I know I can get the dessert party and skip the line for Frozen. It's very frustrating they aren't releasing these dates sooner. The dessert party at MK has dates much further out already. It doesn't make sense.

The MK dessert parties are handled by a entirely different department, which is why they release on a different schedule.

Just booked the Star Wars dessert party and asked the CM about the Frozen party as it has not been released yet for September - he advised me that it was due to be released sometime around July 20th. My FP day is this Friday so will probably try and book the ride anyway and then try for the party as soon as it becomes available. :smickey:
