Okay, I got through to my extra-special, top-secret Disney Contact. Here is what he said......

AKL will start selling February 1st, 2007. DVC Guides are getting info via email this Sunday.

The Other Poster (Saratoga Filly is the OP!!!) who posted $101.00 per point to existing members is correct.

Here is the down-lo:

Cost to existing DVC Members $101.00 a point with a matching number of current year 'developer points' that may be banked. Probably first Use Year will be December 2007for 'real' AKL points.

Turn down developer points get $8.00 off per point or $93.00 per point.

Now I don't know if this part has been posted.<=== See HBC? by this line, I meant I knew all of the above was already known, and not taking credit for it.

Point charts are out, Guides should have them Sunday.

Each room type has 4 views with different rates.

Value View (actually cheaper than OKW!)
Standard View
Savanah View
Kilimanjaro Concierge View/Level Higer than BCV/VWL/BWV-preferred view.

Rooms are larger than SSR, BCV, BWV, VWL, and smaller than OKW.

No extra bathrooms, so just 1 in a 1 BR and 2 in a 2 BR. No super grand villas (4 BR). But 1/2/3BR will have a sleeper/chair?recliner? to officially allow 5 in 1 BR, 9 in 2 BR.

End date is offically 2057.

End of report!

Do you know if there's a minimum # of pts that have to be bought to get the incentives?

Now this is serious! We have price points and dates!

Thaks for the info, Tony:)

Thanks Tony and congrats on the additional 250 points. I'm sure you'll put them to good use.

Why am I so tempted with this?????????????

We might be talking an add on.

Where can I get some information about exactly what features the resort will have like restaurants, what type of pool area, point charts, etc.?

I find this part very interesting. Will that mean an official change in the POS for existing resorts or will it mean they will enforce the 4 and 8 limits at those resorts only allowing the 5 and 9 at AKV? :scratchin

I expect we'll all be getting something in the mail soon.

Any info on what the differences between views will be? Concierge I understand (and would allow access to the Safari's I would think?) ... Savannah would be guaranteed animal view ... but what is the difference between Value and Standard? One sees trees and the other a parking lot?

Oh, and ... any details on maintenance fees? That could be the deal breaker for us ... :(

Standard = parking lot

Value=dumpster and/or loading dock for DME luggage.

I was thinking the same thing Dumbo71

Very exciting news!! :dance3:

Kilimanjaro Concierge View/Level Higher than BCV/VWL/BWV-preferred view.

I wonder how many points this will be? 14,15,16.. anyone care to guess?

:)

I was actually quoted some point totals for a 7 day stay, but as I was driving at the time, the season escapes me. So I won't post unsubstantiated rumors, just substantial rumors........

Hi Tony,

Quick question, did your extra special top secret Disney contact mention if there was going to be a minimum for an add on? I read there was going to be a minimum on another thread.:scratchin

Yes he did, I was actually answering that earlier, and my DSL wenT way down!

I'm not clear, but I believe for the matching developer points or buy back it is 100 points. (It is possible I was told 150, but I think it is 100).

Standard view sounds like there will be a whole lotta view of something that isn't a savannah. I'm guessing the pool/entry area. Value's got to be parking lot or something equally unappealing like a road...and there has to be enough of it to get a separate designation.

I'm hoping it is not like an inside cabin on the DCL. No windows, machinery clanking, the deck rocking........

Or perhaps it is the first level, center looking at the cars parked all around it.

Developer points means that if I a purchase 150 pt contract on Feb. 1st at $101.00, I'll get 150 pts now and another 150 pts on Dec. 1st? If I go with the discount I'll get the 150 pts on Dec. 1st for $93.00 per pt., right?

Just in the lodge there were...

Std. size/ parking lot view
std. size/ pool view
std. size/ savannah view
deluxe size/ pool view
deluxe size/ savannah view

I wonder if the std. size rooms will be the value??
I assume the concierge room will be the current deluxe savannah rooms.

The new building will have...

Savannah view
pool view
Parking lot view

You are correct Sir/Ma'am. (At least that's how DPs worked with SSR!)
