We're down to 15 episodes this season. I usually prefer full length seasons but I think a shorter season will be better for CM at this point.

I had read a rumor a couple months ago that the producers/network might only give CM a half season to wrap up character storylines & say goodbye to the show. This might be it for the show.

I'd be okay with that. If this is it, I really do hope they'll let TG come back for an episode or two at the end. Assuming he'd even want to at this point.

The season premiere (aka Episode 300!) picks up “just moments” after The Messiah’s followers — VICAP Agent Meadows (played by Karen David) included — ordered Reid to free the cult leader, lest Garcia meet a grim fate. “You see the team racing to figure out what has happened, and piece together where Reid and Garcia are,” says showrunner Erica Messer. Once that crisis reaches its climax, watch for its impact on Garcia to be played out for a stretch of episodes, “because what she does in order to survive, we’ve never truly played before.” In fact, Episodes 2 through 9 of the crime drama’s upcoming 15-episode run will each visit “one of our heroes in their home life in some way,” Messer says, including an exploration of why Alves “is a bit of a lone wolf.” As for frightful stuff, one of this season’s cases almost plays out in real time, following an UnSub who attacks every 27 minutes — with a machete!

BONUS SPOILER!: Rossi now has Wife No. 3, played by Gail O’Grady, back in his life — and perhaps for good. “You know how I’m a sucker for my backyard weddings…,” Messer teases.

Riverdale dad Luke Perry will reprise his role as Criminal Minds cult leader Benjamin Cyrus in the CBS crime drama’s Season 14 premiere.

Perry, whose Season 4 UnSub has been dead for a while now, is but one of multiple “surprise” guests on tap for the series’ 300th episode, EW.com reports. (As showrunner Erica Messer told TVLine, amidst picking up and resolving the May cliffhanger, the premiere will find times to acknowledge its milestone.)

Criminal Minds‘ 15-episode season kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 10/9c.

I loved last night's episode! I did not see that twist coming. It's been a long time since the unsub was a kid. And that priest.... :scared:

Charges should be filed against him too since he planted the idea in the kid's head.

I was just coming here to post that. I'm not surprised at all. Well, actually I'm a little surprised they didn't just extend season 14 by a couple episodes and end it this year.
