Anyone in the process of renewing their passport while also having global entry? I hear you can renew the global entry online without re enrolling and interviewing.. we are two years into our 5 year membership. Has anyone recently gone through this?
I just renewed my bosses global entry...did the online questions.....after a week she was renewed without going for an interview

How long have you had the no fee Hilton for?

I have never had a Hilton card (or an Amex) at all! They're tempting me with all these goodies that I am trying to use for Japan next November!

I can see my ds11 being this way. He’s my most clingy and a bit on the lazy side. Tells me often he isn’t interested in growing up 😳

Mine was that way... until recently. He's almost 13 now and I am definitely seeing some teenager-ish behavior start to develop :sad2: so we shall see.

OK so who else was in marching band in high school? @SouthFayetteFan and now @amalone1013 ? Who else?

My 15 year old CANNOT WAIT to drive and quite frankly, with his band commitments, I can't wait until he can either. Supposedly his dad will have a hand me down car for him by June when he turns 16. Then we get to figure out car insurance... yay!

Are you trying to book RT tickets to take advantage of the Excursionist Perk? If so, I would transfer 80K UR to your united account and book RT tickets from each United account. If you aren't looking at using the excursionist perk I would use up all the United miles in each account.

Book 2 - one way tickets to Europe under your DH's account. 140K Miles - 20K remaining
Transfer 50K URs to your DH's account book 1 return flight
Transfer 10K URs to your United account book 1 return flight.

Does this help? Make sense?
OMG I fell down the rabbit hole of the Excursionist perk and I can’t stop thinking about it. Now to see how United does out of MIA or FLL.

I would for sure pick pop with the renovated rooms. We went to CBR recently and switched to a new resort because the room smelt musty and the lighting was really dim
I have a reservation first weekend in Dec. for a Pirate room at CBR but now my kids have a concert the Saturday night and I would have to leave 2 of them. I’m thinking of just going to MVMCP on Friday and heading home Saturday. What is this about internal buses? It might end up being just me and my 7 year old and not sure I want to do bus transfers after midnight and the party. I’ve never been to one of the parties.

Two of my kids are in concert band, does that count? One plays the trumpet, the other the violin. Neither are virtuosos (or particularly talented ;) ) but their Music program is great and I’m so appreciative it doesn’t cost me anything above school tuition.

I forced (yes, yes I did) both of my kids to join band in grade school. My older son argued with me about being in marching band before high school but I insisted... and two months after it started, he could not imagine life without it. (He would never say he "loves" it but I know he does from his behavior). I don't think he is particularly good, but I don't care because I think music is important and I think the relationships he will form are even more important.

My younger son tried trumpet for two years and didn't love it, so he is trying percussion this year (in 7th grade). I hope he grows to love it like his older brother finally does. If it works out the way I hope, they will share one year in HS marching band together :lovestruc

While I was not in the marching band....I was a baton twirler with the band..doing the halftime shows with fire batons...we also marched in the cherry blossom parade in DC and parades in NYC

Anyone get automatically upgraded to a Target MC? I got the letter that they were changing my card and I figured no big deal. I’ve had my Redcard forever and my dh was an AUer from when I opened the card. But this morning he got a Credit Karma email that he’d been added as an AUer to a Target account  Kinda freaking out that this just ate up a 5/24 spot!!!

Starting to plan for May 2020 6 night stay. Anyone have an opinion on best credit card sign up bonuses for hotels in Disney World area?

I guess I am thinking Hilton, Marriot, or the Holiday Inn chains are my target. Looking for opinions on low point possibilities near the parks. Not picky about brands or anything. Just looking for best deals for 4 people in a room.

My DS turns 16 on October 1 and he won’t be finished getting his driving hours with an instructor so he’s not happy he won’t be getting his license on his birthday! My first car was the cutest red convertible Cabriolet. I loved it so much. I was really hoping to pass down my minivan to my DS, but my DH decided we need a truck and I would rather keep driving the mini van so now DS gets to drive the truck.

Percussionist here! I played snare in mb in high school and in college. I played everything percussion you can imagine from grade school through college :) I still play the odd dining room table
All this talk of teens driving has me wondering what everyone’s first car was???

Mine was ‘91 Chrysler Lebaron convertible. I’m also 5 feet tall and love to do unauthorized investigative work, so I’m basically Veronica Mars.
I didn't get my first car until after grad school and after dh and I were married lol--it was '85 Nissan Sentra that had been my parents' car. My first brand spankin' new car was a 2002 Grand Caravan, the vehicle I still drive :rotfl:I've got my eye on the to-be-in-2022? electric VW Bus-replacement!

I mean, look at this beauty https://www.caranddriver.com/volkswagen/microbus

My Hilton biz hits one year on 9/27. Is it still advised to call for a retention offer or should I just cancel the card?

Also, we need rain here soooo bad!! I’m kind of mad Humberto turned so sharply away from us. We drained our pool some for Dorian and now it’s getting low because we haven’t had rain since then!

I think it's bad if the water level gets so low that it sucks in air (your would hear it)

Have you ever tried fried pickles?? We always get those at Texas Roadhouse and I have to limit myself or I can clean the whole plate fast! I love pickles though!!

Hooters has good fried pickles, just sayin'..

My mother came along with us to almost EVERY horse show for almost 10 years. She videotaped almost every class DD was in. Mom is starting to show some cognitive deficits these days and we use a wheelchair when we are looking at traveling any long distances but she sooo looks forward to every trip. The stable I built has a small apartment in the front area that will be finished if mom ever needs it.

Am I reading this right? Guess is better than putting her out to pasture :D

We were a one band fits all but really just symphonic and pep because our marching was onto the field, stop and play and then march off just for homecoming. My senior year when I could only do pep band because the school so nicely moved band from 3rd to 5th period, the same as the 2nd year japanese class I had to take to get into college, the band director decided it was time for an actual homecoming show. So happy I didn't have to do that. It was fun to watch from the stands and I enjoyed the 3 quarters we did play.

Maybe this is the time to mention that I used my credit at CF yesterday. And, I grabbed a Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake. OMG = that was delicious! I had used my previous couple of credits for a burger at SS. CF was convenient yesterday and I had a bit of lunch there and got the cheesecake to go.
Yum! I don’t like Cheesecake but I do like that Lemon Raspberry goodness!

My 16th bday was Thanksgiving so I couldn’t get my permit on time and then due to the delay my license day (6 months later) fell on Memorial Day and I had to wait for my license. I was not amused haha

My first car was a bright orange Jeep.

Also I did concert and jazz band (clarinet for concert and saxophone for jazz) but all band members were included in marching band for one large trip- we performed in Ireland, Wales, and London. Pretty cool. My husband played trombone in the marching band all four years. I played hockey in the fall which is why I never actually did the marching band real season.

My first car was a Ford Escort. I don't remember the year. I think I paid like $500 for it.
