Journey back to ME!!- I'm getting bugged!!

Julie, I am so sorry your dd is going thorugh this. I hope they get her meds adjusted and that she starts to feel better soon. How upsetting and frutrating for you. Hang in there.

Don't despair about that weigh in. A loss of any kind is good news! I am seriously impressed that you have been able to exericse and eat right with all you have going on.

I hope that you get that trip planned and that it happens. It would be so good for you. I am keeping my fingers, toes and all else crossed and saying a prayer too!:grouphug:

Congrats on your weight loss, Julie!!!:cheer2:

I'm sorry to hear that your DD is still not feeling well. :( I hope the doctors can do something for her soon.

Sending lots of pixiedust: pixiedust: that you can take your trip/cruise as planned.

I hope your Sunday is a good one! Prayers on the way for your DD....

This weekend was a food disaster. With stress I ate anything & everything and got really depressed about DD, DH & cruise(more later), etc. Mainly all caused by total lack of sleep!! I did get about 6 hours last night, so a bit better this morning.

I'm waiting to call to schedule an ultrasound. Hopefully today. We have to get this figured out. She is MISERABLE & today is day full day #5 out of school & then she missed 2 classes the other 2 days. So day 7 for 2 of her classes. Fortunately, 1 of them is choir!!

I'll try to pop in again later....

Sending a gentle  your way, Julie. I hope that they can get that ultrasound scheduled today. Your poor DD sounds like she is in a lot of pain. :(

Hope your day gets better, WISH sis!

Put the weekend aside and just keep moving forward. It gets hard to stay on track when you are worried about the health of your children and you lack sleep. Why don't you try a power nap of 15-20 minutes at some point today. It will at least help clear the mind a bit more.

Sending you  so that you can get through the rough spot. ::MickeyMo::MickeyMo

Congrats on the loss Julie.

I'm so sorry your DD is in so much pain - i hope the scan will be soon so that they can help cure her!
Please let us know how she gets on!

Julie: given what you are going through, a bit of stress eating is to be expected. When our babies are hurting, we are a mess! Just hang in there, I hope you got in there for an ultrasound and got some answers.

Hang in there, thing will improve.

Waiting to hear details on the cruise and dh....:surfweb:

Every ultrasound place I called yesterday was end of Feb to Mid March for an appt. then I looked up on my desk and saw the order for my mammogram & decided on a long shot to call them as I know they do ultrasounds. The phone lady ( I now know her name was Dottie) said she would find a way to get DD in yesterday & she did at 10 a.m.!! Still no results & I can't tell anything looking at those screens, but at least they did one. It had best show SOMETHING they can do something about. DD cried all the way thru the ultra due to the pressure/pain & was miserable last night.

At least I stayed OP yesterday. I won't step on the scale til tomorrow morning. Hopefully it won't be too mean to me!!

I'll update more later when I'm awake & have time. Need to run DS19 to the bus & run a couple of errands. One of them MAY end up to the casino to spend my 'free' $10 (casino bucks automatically credited 1x/week - use or lose). Since the beginning of the year I've turned my $10free/week into almost $110. I have the willpower to run in, play 10 min & come out.

Pearson testing center here is hiring full-time for 9 weeks of standardized test grading at almost $12hour. If I get the time today I am calling for an interview. Runs mid-march thru May or June for a few. You can choose full or part & I think the hours. Only criteria is a college degree.

Off to start the errands & doling out meds to DD.

At least they don't have school on Friday this week!

It's good to hear that you were able to get the ultrasound done. I am hoping with you that it shows something. If not, just keep working with the drs to get an answer. A few years ago my DD19 had alot of pain and was not well. At first they thought it was a cyst, but the tests showed nothing. After a bit the dr figured that she could have irritable bowel syndrome and gave her medicine for that. (treat the symptoms). It did help, but then we also tried something that the dr suggested which was to reduce stress. That did it. Once she reduced the stress (high school teen years can be tough) the pain went away and she no longer needed the meds. Now she has learned to handle stress better. Just another thing to think about if you don't get any answers soon.

Good luck on the interview if you decide to go.::MickeyMo::MickeyMo

UGH!!!!! Ultrasound was NORMAL!!!! Dr is going to consult with a couple others to try to figure out what might be going on. Muscles????? I wonder.....

What a relief that you finally got that ultrasound done! :cool1: Hopefully you will get an answer, I can't believe there is not a single Dr that can make a diagnosis, especially if DD can't even function... :confused3

Good luck on the job! :wizard:

Julie, that's great that the ultrasound was normal! Hopefully they'll find the answer to her problem real soon.

It's good to hear that the ultrasound is normal, however, that does make things frustrating. Could she possibly have a severe kidney infection or kidney stones? I remember that you said she had a problem going to the bathroom at one point.

Here's praying for you that you will have an answer soon. ::MickeyMo::MickeyMo

I'm glad that the ultrasound came back all clear!:thumbsup2 I know you must be frustrated since she is still in pain though. :( Sending lots of prayers for you both!:grouphug:

soo glad DD's ultrasound came back normal, although i know it must be frustrating not knowing what is wrong, i hope they can help your DD soon

Did you go for the job interview? hope you got it :)

Last night Primary Care Dr sent us to ER. Arrived at 7 p.m. sat on floor til 1 a.m. in waiting area. moved to room in ER. Saw no one includeing a nurse til 3:30 a.m. Finally gave her morphine at 4:15 which helped. Did a CT & an xray & sent her home. Both normal. I've been awake 33 hours & need sleep desperately. Now they want me to find a gastro dr & a gyn to send her to. UGH!!!!!! Still in pain, still no clue. I'll be back on when I am coherent.

Julie, We're thinking about you and DD. Hang in there! I'm sure you'll have an answer soon, and she'll be feeling better and you'll get some sleep.

Thanks for the :wizard: & prayers all. I'm still trying to find Drs. NM has very few specialists. The gastros I've called won't take patients under 18 (she's 17). The pediatric gastros stop at age 16. I guess 17 yr olds aren't supposed to have problems!

I now have a theory....This all started following her concurrent enrollment Yoga class. Boyfriend is in it & I think she would overdo to keep up. And, she had double inguinal hernia repair at 8 months old. DH family history - every female as far as they can trace has them...and usually has to have them repaired more than once. I think she has the beginnings of another hernia, or two. And, to make it even better, TOM arrived late last night for her. UGH!!!! Calgon take me away....far, far away!!! I've emailed the Yoga instructor to see if I can meet with him to get some more info for my theory. I was told a hernia wouldn't show on CT or ultra or xray unless the intestine was protruding - don't know if that is true or not.

Last night wasn't much sleep, but it was some. I'd like to sleep the day away, but unfortunately that won't happen. Amazing how in being absent for just one day, my house can fall apart & things pile up.

Hopefully today I will have time to call the testing people to set up an interview. It would be a good trial run to see if everyone can handle me having a FT or PT job. And the monetary incentive wouldn't hurt, either.

Off to run DS19 to the bus, drop more Dr notes off at school, pick up homework, etc. At some point I need to find time to shower. Thank God for ponytails!! I haven't exercised at all this week and I'm kind of scared to see what WI will bring tomorrow....assuming I make it.

More later.....Love you all!

 Julie,

You and your DD remain in our prayers. I hope the Yoga teacher can shed some light on the situation for you and I hope you can find a specialist soon.:wizard:

Please be sure and get some sleep this evening. All of this stress and lack of sleep is bound to be wearing you down. Please try and take it easy tonight.

It is good that you are trying to pinpoint various circumstance that occured when your DD started not feeling well. Hopefully, that will lead to some explanation.

Your family is old enough that I think they can handle having you gone. They may not realize it yet, but they can. Hopefully, the testing will go well. ::MickeyMo::MickeyMo
