Watch any episode of Luther you can get your hands on! It's more or less how Idris Elba came to many Americans' attention although he was excellent in The Wire too. That man can act.I’ve not seen that. It sounds like I don’t want to.

Still an episode of Luther with the twin brothers playing dice opened my eyes to possibilities of helmets in office settings. Shudder.

From what I understand, rapid & continues machine gun firing does overheat the gun barrel. It would render the gun useless. That’s why he had multiple firearms laying around; most likely he was switching them frequently.
A veteran is potentially a unique witness with some solid experience to back up their opinion about where gunfire originated.
Particularly when dealing with ammo common to the US military.
Motorcycle jackets are protective gear and are important in case of an accident. Most people who ride bikes leave the helmet with the bike. Even if you don’t you’d take it off right before walking into a dim casino. That really should have been a huge, red flag. As a clerk in just a regular store anyone walking in wearing a helmet or a jacket when it’s not remotely cold outside made me extremely nervous.
Luther, is not a serial killer (that would be Dexter? ) but a troubled and yet brilliant detective of the London Metropolitan Police. I understand how you feel about murder of the week genre but IMO this production transcends ..NCIS, L&O, et al. .I'm not a huge fan of the murder-of-the-week genre, and even less of a fan of serial killers as heroes (even if they only ever kill people who "deserve" to die), so count me as another one who definitely won't be watching it. No judgement on those with different tastes, though!
I've enjoyed Idris Elba in many movies (the Avengers Age of Ultron, Zootopia, the Jungle Book (he was Shere Khan), Finding Dory, Star Trek Beyond) and I really want to see him in the Dark Tower (even if it's supposedly a very bad movie).

That's the one thing I hate about riding the bike in warm weather, jackets, pants and closed toed shoes when it's 80 something degrees out.Motorcycle jackets are protective gear and are important in case of an accident.

Ah! Already an update on what I just posted. Apparently he was looking at concert venues in Boston. (Fenway Park does host concerts once a year or so.) So there was a music connection.

Yeah. It's headline news here in Boston. Not sure what to make of that, but I guess it's another puzzle piece.
I'm going to assume you are talking about Sherlock with Cumberbatch (Hehehe...you just "age outed" me in a rueful manner) so I'll respond with that series in mind. Yes, I can see a correlation between the 2 main characters of these 2 series' behaviors.Ooooh! I mixed them up!
Thanks for the clarification!
So, would you say it's more like Sherlock, then? I do very much enjoy that series.
I knew I should have thrown a comma in there somewhere. I meant a heavy winter like coat when it’s not even remotely cold outside not motorcycle jackets.Motorcycle jackets are protective gear and are important in case of an accident.

John Luther is somewhat anti-social based on what he sees of the darker side of criminal life. Sherlock, is just social inept (but on the bright side so is his brother and I absolutely love the normalcy of their parents as a counterpoint). Both main characters are driven by a Jesuit type sense of justice that can blind them to the effects it can have on their own personalities.
I haven't missed a season of the "new Sherlock since it came out.
