Agreed... my resale Poly points are set to get a healthy bump in value, but I love it too much to cash in.The press release language strongly implies that this won't be the case.

I know,,,but those were redoing existing rooms,,I could see them with a new room layout,,slightly bigger and upping the points per night. Those comments are about the existing PVB, not new stuff. Poly ALREADY has the largest studios on property.
I think that’s a bit of a stretch, the release was vagueThe press release language strongly implies that this won't be the case.
Since 2015, Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows has been a favorite resort destination, offering an island paradise in the middle of the magic. Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows currently has 380 Disney Vacation Club villas, including the largest Deluxe Studios at any Disney Vacation Club resort at Walt Disney World and unique two-bedroom Bora Bora Bungalows, located over the waters of the Seven Seas Lagoon – the first of their kind at Disney.I think that’s a bit of a stretch, the release was vague
Right, says nothing about new or same association. All it says is what poly is todaySince 2015, Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows has been a favorite resort destination, offering an island paradise in the middle of the magic. doing some major reading between the lines crossing toes and fingers there
but I do think we found the next holy war. New association or same
im Betting new
But they didn't say Poly. They said "Polynesian Villas and Bungalows", which is the name of the current association. It's anyone's guess, but a marketing press release doesn't mean much. I see this as saying "we're building more Poly because Poly is so popular".
Sounds like monorail resorts are more in demand after this announcementThis definitely makes a lot of sense.
Clearly DVC feels reassured by GFV sales.
Wouldn't that be great for all DVC owners? If this is same condo association with no resale restrictions, I think that is a pretty good sign we will see them changed moving forward, even at RIV.
The paragraph you quoted only discusses the current association and doesn’t even mention the new build so that makes sense to call it by its nameBut they didn't say Poly. They said "Polynesian Villas and Bungalows", which is the name of the current association.
When Copper Creek opened, Boulder Ridge had 25 years left. When PVB2 opens, PVB will have 42 years left. They're not remotely similar.its new construction and copper creek is the model to follow
Like I said the next holy war has been foundWhen Copper Creek opened, Boulder Ridge had 25 years left. When PVB2 opens, PVB will have 42 years left. They're not remotely similar.
I can't imagine them opening this and saying "sorry current Poly owners, you can't stay here."All us Poly resale owners are now going to be holding our breaths until the condo association announcement is official!
Yes, I think you should expect a VGF like point chart. The studios are similarly priced already.
