Rosie, I am so sorry that you had to lose this very special person in your life! How wonderful that he had finally found his family at your home and what a shame that he had to leave too early! Sending you lots of hugs!

Thanks Magdalene, he was my guy!! he loved to be close to me and John ( my lead staff) in the office , he was in trouble all the time for moving stuff closing drawers that we needed open , moving our phones !!I will soo miss all that!!!

Oh Rosie, I am so very sorry to hear the news. It is so hard to loose someone and the way you talked about Frank, he must have been very close to your heart. Lots of hugs for you.
Thanks , he is missed by all of us !!

Thanks Jo

Sending thoughts and prayers and pixiedust: Rosie! I know this is s really rough day for you. :sad1:

Frank was buried on Thursday, he looked like a million dollars , John picked out a suit a a brand new salmon colored shirt , I always would rub the bald top of his head and tell him grass didn't grow on a busy street , he had NO idea what I meant but he loved the contact!! I had to rub that beloved head one more time !! You will always be missed Frank!!

Pennysylvania Dutch Trip July 2016

We will once again be taking 8 wonderful new or old friends on a vacation to Lancaster Pa , now unlike all my other P & P trips , I am not the planner , Carol is !! :snooty::rolleyes1:worship::thanks:

In the brochure it says we will visit and I assume ride this

Looks like fun!!!:flower1::hyper2::hyper2:

I am sure we will see lots of these

And a few giggles when we see this

Some for Liesa

Then we will be official

Now as Carol tells me more I will report !!!

Oh, I am looking forward to hear all about the oldest pretzel bakery in the USA! Since I am from the home of the pretzel, everything pretzel is of high interest for me!

And how wonderful that Frank got a farewell as it is supposed to be!

Well I did not know it was the oldest Pretzel place in the USA:goodvibes Carol has done this trip with another escort plus during her college years she was in the area a lot:confused3:banana: I will definitely let you know:bounce: I am anxious to try the Amish smorgasboard , Carol says we will do Millers the first night !! I had to look up Chow Chow , I am alos going to try Shoofly pie !!!:cheer2::banana:

Heehee, I giggled at the "Intercourse" sign. And yummm, I love pretzels! Can't wait to hear about that!

Some for Liesa

OH yes! Yes, yes, YES!!!!

everything pretzel is of high interest for me!

Can I just comment right here about how much I'm looking forward to my jalapeno cream cheese pretzel. Now, that's a spin on the humble pretzel I can get on board with!

Since I am from the home of the pretzel

Believe it or not, we mentioned yet AGAIN last night (we were eating a meal of sausages and kraut), how much we loved our time in Nuremberg. Particularly the dinner your mom and dad hosted. Mike felt badly he was still not feeling good and couldn't do that meal justice. A do-over is likely.

You mean no one wants Shoo fly pie or chow chow , just pretzels !! Well I know I like pretzels , other 2 not sure 0f:confused3:confused3

We also will be doing a Dinner Theatre , from what Carol says it will be the Rainbow Theatre and it is a comedy theatre , I looked it up and it is about a wedding mmmm:confused3:goodvibes I think the nights we will go it will be a served meal NOT a buffet, and of course I had to check out the menu choices , I am definitely leaning towards the Crab stuffed flounder sounds yummy !! Watch it the night I go it peanu=t butter stuffed canned tuna !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Why, yes! That does sound rather delicious! Good choice, Rosie, Dear!
Well thank you kind lady !! I heard from Mary the T.A for P&P today, We are going to the Halloween Party on the Sunday , we are also flying Jet Blue out of Buffalo, but as I feared coming back is a night mare . We will have a least one Albany traveler and it is Dawn , who we love dearly and always want her to come with us , well the only non stop flights to Albany is around 11 a and for Buffalo 4p . So we will be faced with the choice of all getting there with an 8a ME to MCO or 1 of us taking Dawn and tother waiting till like 1p for ME. I have decided I will go with Dawn and let Carol handle the other 7 unless one is really obnoxious and then I will take them too !!

Today was a city wide clean up and of course I took a few of the guys !! Started off with the sign up and we got bags and a pair of nice gloves each , then we got coffee , hot chocolate , juice and a Danish . Which for me hit the spot . We went over to the church where they have the soup kitchen !! Man clean up is tough , I was ready to quit when I saw others walking back into the church. The kitchen guys had cooked us eggs and pancakes !! whih really hit the spot !! The gyys helped rolls silverware , cut and serve dessert and one served the corn to the meal . I kept looking at this one volunteer and I knew I knew her . You know that feeling , THEN I remembered I walked and said Hi and she recognized me too !!! She used to be a supervisor at the agency . She said she was the director of another not for profit agency not related to my field , it was a community involved agency , I jokingly said "well I know where to apply if I get Fired " She offered me a job for $5,000 more than I am earning , doing community outreach and answering phones . It probably wont be for a couple of months but I am seriously thinking of taking it as my job has become too much paperwork and checking everything , giving me soooo little time to enjoy the guys and do stuff with them !!! So say prayers that this really works out !!

Sounds like fun! I remember taking a trip through that area as a HS graduation trip with the family! We had a really good time, and lots of great food in that area. And if there is a train ride involved........sign me up! :thumbsup2

Chow Chow is very popular in my part of the country......and I haven't ever tried Shoo Fly Pie, but mainly because I never had the chance..........have always heard it is really good!

I am definitely leaning towards the Crab stuffed flounder sounds yummy !!
There is a restaurant chain around here called Copper River, and Pat and I share the crab stuffed flounder on occasion. It is a really large meal there, so with an extra salad added in, it is more than enough for the two of us. I also had it recently at a local restaurant near where I work, and it was very good too! One of my favorite meals for sure!

So glad you will be making sure things go smoothly for Dawn. I need to look at your schedule, but Pat and I can probably help Carol out with the rest of the group until they have to head back to the hotel to catch the later ME time. :goodvibes

That would be wonderful, when I told Carol she thought one of us had to fly to Albany at first:rotfl2: It will still be hard , but I think I will go back thru security or at least head down so I can help her at the other end of those inspection
