Mark – I pm'ed you but obviously that's not going to work if you insist on creating new accounts on a daily basis to evade the moderators. Posting under your normal login would solve this and I think it would also decrease the perception that most people have of you being a troll (well, maybe not!). I've thought about this and I believe the reason for not posting under your true login is that you are embarrassed about what you post and deep down inside you know that it's wrong. On the plus side that also leads me to believe that there is still hope for you ... hey, I'm an optimist!

Sue--Thanks for the PM. I tried to reply to it but was unable to, I think my computer is acting up on me. Anyway, I'll take the chance of answering your question here. If you think about your premise a bit (that I'm trying to disguise my identity), you'll realize that's not true. My screen names simply have different suffixes. If I were trying to hide, I'd use completely different screen names. After all, you easily recognized me, as does everyone else. So, why the different screen names? For some reason I'm getting locked out of my screen names so I have to create new ones. Luckily, I got into this before I was locked out.

Now, although all the discussion about me is flattering, I'm sure it's a bit boring to most of the people in here. I'd like to discuss the issue I raised previously (assuming anyone is interested in discussing it). Will the Craig "event" help or hurt the Republican party with middle America? I say it will help because his forced resignation might convince undecideds that the Republicans are at least trying to police their own--Democrats seem to rarely if ever do this. What say you?

I think they are finally tired of being preached to by hypocrites. The difference in the reaction is the Democrats don't preach family values, so when a Dem makes a mistake, while it's frowned apon, they don't seem so hypocritical.

If your a news hound like I am, this is not a new theory. It's been discussed all week.

So heres the deal markofmanynumbers,eventually people will realize that preaching family values and practicing family values are two very very diffrent things.

Its kind of like preaching like you are a Christian and acutally acting like a Christian. You know that old do unto other and dont judge thing, Its called, practice what you preach.

There will always be a segment of the population that will fall in line behind the family values platform reguardless of what the candiate is actually doing in his private life. However unlike the times of FDR and even Regan you just cant get away with things as much as you use to. There are cameras everywhere and people willing to sell out your actions to the tabloids and networks for a buck. This more than anything has changed the very face of politics.

The family values clan cant booze and do drugs, they cant mess around on their wives, they cant hang out in men's rooms looking for sex and they cant be Gay without the world knowing it. The old show up at church every sunday with bible clutched next to you heart is not going to fool anyone and people will start to react in a negative manor to them.

This I believe is what Mike is talking about. People , markofmanynumbers ,have not changed one bit, the ability to be private and portray images of yourself that are not yourself, are now next to impossible to pull off as they were in the" good old days".

Just a slightly different thought here...not to change the subject, just to mix the pot a little more...is it really GAY sex? because I would lay odds that most of these "family value" based folks have some type of porn around - and I would also lay odds that there might just be a little bit of desire to see girl/girl activity...so is that NOT gay??? (please tell me it isn't so Aunty Em!!) I would hate to think that lesbians don't count in the sraight view of gay...

I always thought that if you were able to pick out what kind of sex a straight person liked by the features of their partner... then somebody on the right would be screaming their heads off. It's only because you choose a same sex partner that anyone guesses at what the heck you do in the bedroom....I think this is so unfair. So many of these heinie holes preaching against gay sex are the same buggers sneaking the porn. It drives me crazy.
A great comic once said "right wingers think gay sex is dirty...well isn't all sex dirty if you're doing it right??
My point it's so unfair for anyone to be judged by what they do with another consenting adult in the bedroom and I just wish the people throwing stones would take just one minute to check out their own back yards.
