DIS/DISUnplugged/Dreams December Event Info – DISapalooza (continued)

Well...we didn't have the big snow that some of you guys had, just a mix of rain and snow, but that's apparently frozen now and our satellite dish is now not working. We're getting the "searching for satellite signal" message. The worst part is that we tried to watch a DVD earlier and something's wrong with the DVD player too. ARRRGH. We are no listening to the radio. Seriously. I can't remember the last time we listened to the radio at home.

Oh. Although Phillip hasn't done it for years, he started out in security at Keeneland Race Track in Lexington (horse track) and working as guard in a county jail. I'm sure he can somehow combine those skills with what he does now to join the Vinny/Paul security service crew. I'd be there in a heartbeat. :)

Awesome, Phillip's in. Wouldn't that be funny if some of us did end up moving down there eventually??

North Central MA here and not a flake yet. I'll be dealing with it in the morning though. ::yes::

Me and Vinny can retire in 6 years and start a security business in Celebration. I don't know what needs to be secured down there but we can figure something out! :thumbsup2

Count Rich into the mix, Paul. Between the three of you, that should be quite the company!! plus Philip! A bunch of 40 somethings still getting to play. Wouldn't that be the life!

You're up early Kathy. Work today?
Hope things are well with your Hubby.

Easily 12"-14", and it's still snowing. Drifts are as high as the fence (4ft) in some areas.

Wow that's a lot!
We were supposed to leave on Saturday, but John was dreading the drive with this storm that was hitting, as we would have to drive through it.

I thanked Stacy at the TSM party for coordinating the Yeahaa Bob show because it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We had never been before as well, and as I had my kids with me, I was afraid they were going to be bored. Turned out, they had the best time! They got to go on stage a few times and are still talking about it. My family (including me) tends to be shy and I was happy and a little shocked that they had no problem getting involved with the show.

I took tons of video this weekend so it will take some time but I will move the girls to the top of the list, right after 12 Days:goodvibes LOL
Andrea - it was my pleasure to organize this event. I had never been to a Yehaa Bob show before and enjoyed it so much! Thanks Kelly for putting the video together - it helped me to showed my family and friends what a great time we had. It is one thing to be able to explain it but another thing completely to be able to show them.

Did everyone see Bob's website with photos from our night? Bob even put Andrea's girls on his page!

Morning all...just popped in for a few quick moments. On the run with a busy day today - Children's Christmas party at noon, Olympic torch relay celebrations in our area after that and then FIL's birthday to celebrate over dinner. Best news is our sunroom is virtually complete!!! Christmas can begin later on tonight with tree finally up!!! The delay means that the shopping is done, except for a couple of stocking stuffers, so at least there's that!

Hope everyone enjoys their day...now the countdown to Christmas...five more sleeps. :woohoo:

No, no work. I just woke up and try as I might, I just couldn't go back to sleep. Grrrr. I don't like it when that happens!

Rich called this morning before church. That in and of itself is alarming. He usually doesn't call until evening time. But I am sure that all is well. A call is a call and I'll take any I can get!! Thanks for asking about him!

WOW, Pam! What a day! Have fun! The torch relay stuff is always a blast. We lived in Georgia when the summer Olympics were there in '96. That was a good time! You make me tired just reading. I think I'll go for a nap now.

The torch passing us was exciting. We watched it at a local winery and they gave us glasses of icewine and hot chocolate. Everyone was decked out in their red and white and flags were everywhere!

Just prior a Coke tractor trailer went by and handed out special Canadian Olympic pennant flags! We managed to get one and it will have a place of honour by the TV when we watch the coverage and we watch a lot of it (never miss Luge, Speedskating, Bobsled, Hockey, Skiing events, among others). This time we will have almost no time delay, which is so great to watch the events live. Hopefully we will be waiving that flag during another gold medal hockey game!!!

Well off to the in-laws...this will be a break because I didn't have to cook!
