Volcano Bay Cabana - Pricing

You guys rock!! Thanks to all the information on these boards so soon, I was able to get a single cabana in the wave area for 8/1 for $399.00..Woohoo:yay:

I just updated the pricing at the top of this post!!!!

Volcano Bay Cabana and Premium Seating is now available! :yay:

I called Universal Orlando this morning ( 877-489-8068 ) and booked a Single Family Cabana in River Village on Opening Day, 5/25. The cost was $319.49. That is better pricing than I hoped. We CANNOT wait for opening day!

After reading all of the posts, I decided to change my cabana for opening day. I moved from a Single River Village to a Single Wave Village cabana. It sounds like we will want to spend most of our day by the beach and pool, so it makes sense to move our cabana location. Same price and same confirmation number, however, they would not issue me a new cabana rental ticket. Instead of going straight to the cabana concierge, I now have to stop at the Will Call Kiosk, and then head over to the cabana concierge. No big deal. The change was relatively easy.

I called guest services today and was told that complementary towels will be provided throughout the Volcano Bay Theme Park. It's going to be similar to towel service at the hotel pools. I asked about lockers, and there will be lockers for a charge. The cost for lockers has not yet been announced.

I also heard that cabanas rental are sold out for opening day.

Booked a Single River cabana for Sunday 25th June for 399!

Also booked Express unlimited for 79 each.

Coming from the UK and just going full out!! Cannot wait!

Thanks for posting about the cabana rentals! I rented a Wave Village cabana for June 5! :thumbsup2 Looking forward to having people post back about their experiences !

Saturday price for Family Suite cabana (up to 16 people) in August: $599. Sun->Fri price: $499. For the week starting Monday 8/28, take $100 off those prices. Also, there are only 2 Family Suite Cabanas, both are located in the River Village area. I booked one, super excited!

That's actually a very good deal for a Cabana that holds 16 guests!

HEADS UP FOR THOSE BOOKING TODAY!!! MAKE SURE YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE REP KNOWS THAT THE PREMIUM SEATING IS BOOKED AS A PAIR OF SEATS FOR THE PRICE. I INITIALLY TOLD HER THAT WE WERE A PARTY OF 3, BUT ONLY WANTED TO SECURE SEATING FOR THE 2 ADULTS, WHICH SHE VERIFIED AGAIN BEFORE BOOKING. MY FIRST CSR BOOKED ME 2 SETS OF SEATS (total of 4 loungers), THINKING THAT THE PRICING WAS PER SEAT. A PAIR OF SEATS IS SOLD FOR THE GIVEN PRICE, PRICING IS NOT PER SEAT. HOPE THAT MAKES SENSE.

I was able to catch it quickly and have them cancel my initial reservation and process it quickly. Glad I chose print at home seating, or I would have been none the wiser. Also, read the small print. LOL.

Thanks for the heads up. Secured premium seating for DH and I...14 y/o kiddo will have to fend for himself, or share lounger space at the foot end with one of us.

Things I did find out: They don't have specs for the locker dimensions that are included. So, I'm hoping that it's big enough for a backpack in case we decide to bring changes of clothes with us. We'll see.

As far as pricing goes: We're going in mid to late June....single cabana pricing was $400...out of our budget. But the premium seating loungers were priced at $65/for a set of 2 , 69.22 with tax included. For guaranteed real estate in what is going to be an uber busy time, I'll glady pay that.

Glad to read you were able to book 1 pair for 3 people, we received conflicting information. One TM told me I had to have one seat per person, when I called back I was asked if I wanted 1 or 2 pairs for the 4 of us. We only reserved one pair, we figured our girls could just sit at the edge of the chairs. I really don't think we'll be sitting much, just wanted the convenience of the lockers and secured seats.

Hello! I was undecided about booking a pair of lounge chairs for our day. At our local parks I don't but I know them so well. I was planning on being there from open to close and thought about not having seats. I did it! I reserved 2 pair of lounge chairs for 7/28 $69.00 each. At lest I know I don't have to be worried about it. Just an FYI I picked the wave area. The representative told me that in this section there will be a private waterfall.:) I am assuming it is for the cabanas and the chair. I also have a cabana on 8/1 in this section. Now I just have to share DH's purchase with him!:rolleyes1

Have a good day:)

Great info. I booked a cabana yesterday and the CM verified it is for the entire day. She also verified 72 hour cancellations. The Universal dining quick service can also be added and used here. I'm debating adding this as well since we'll be there all day to get full use of the cabana. Currently that is 22.99 or 28.99 with the unlimited mug.
The cabanas seem to be going quickly. There were 2 left for 5/30 when I called.

We just booked a lower level Cabana in the Rain forest area for June 6th (the River area which was our first choice was all booked). Cost as 299++. We are so excited. We are going three adults and one toddler so we are hoping that the secured covered area allows her to nap on a lounge chair with mommy. We are on the fence about the unlimited pass and will likely just play that by ear. I'm SO excited though. We really are just huge loungers and love lazy rivers. My husband is the thrill ride lovers so he will likely end up with that unlimited pass lol. My mom, toddler and I are likely to just spend most of our day getting pruny in the lazy river and lounging in the cabana.

We are considering that dining plan, we don't do it at Disney World because it's always way more expensive than eating at the restaurants. Is it a better value at Universal/Volcano Bay? We will likely go to dinner at City Walk after our Day at the park and were thinking of doing Tchop Tchop. Would it still be worth it? Any suggestions for dinner if you think Tchop Tchop is no good lol

Hello! I like that you can buy the dining plan each day if you want. It seems very flexible and worth it if you can get menu prices before hand to compare. We will be doing it a couple of times as well as adding the refillable drink cup. I have not been to Tchop Tchop heard it was good. Are you planning on staying till the evening? I understand there will be some sort of light/firework show from the volcano. I know with the cabana rental cost we are going to stay from open to close to make sure to get our money's worth. Glad to hear you are keeping the fast pass in mind. I would follow the JF ride thread for how the queue is doing for times. Also hopefully once people start posting reviews about the tapu tapu system we will have a better idea on reservations. Enjoy I know we are:)

The quick service plan might be what you'd be interested in, as the choice of included table service restaurants is sort of limited and you seem more interested in other options. I'd say if you don't find the meal plan to be good value at Disney, you're likely to make the same decision about Universal's meal plan but you'll have to do the math for your own group and see how it falls out for you.

And personally, Tchoup Chop is my favorite restaurant on the Universal campus. I can't recommend that one highly enough.

We booked a Rainforest single cabana for September 18 for 249 (266 after taxes). Yay!

I wanted a wave poole location, but my husband really wanted to be in the rainforest and he seemed to care more than I did, so Rainforest it is! It's going to be such a nice treat for our family and I think we'll love having a dedicated place to check in, rest, and eat.

I'm more worried that when we go to Typhoon Lagoon 2 days later our kids will be super disappointed. I tried to swap it so we went to TL first and VB second but I was having trouble adjusting dining reservations. I know we'll have fun at both but I worry that TL lagoon won't seem as cool after VB (especially because I don't think we'll be getting a cabana at both water parks).

I think that's a valid concern. Maybe if you tell the kids the difference and prepare them to view it as a totally different experience it might help?

Totally. We already talked to them about it at dinner last night. We were just like "Look, Volcano Bay is going to be way cooler than Typhoon Lagoon. We'll have fun at both, but it'll be a different experience and we're only getting the cabana at VB."

We're staying on Disney property so we don't really need a cabana. We don't have to take our wallets/purses/change of clothes. It probably won't be AS busy, and we can always just jam back to our room if we want to take a nap. At VB it will be SO NICE to just have a central location for hanging out, eating, etc.

We do wonder about the cabana benefit of modifying your place in line on Tapu Tapu. I'm super excited to hear more about how that works for people.

I'm interested in seeing how the Tapu Tapu works as well. I'm getting excited about the cabanas. We usually just grab chairs at the water parks so this will be a nice change of pace. The CM did say that you can order food through the concierge and have it brought to the cabana. This is another reason I'm thinking we'll do the dining plan at VB and maybe one park day. It may not be very much cost savings-wise but I love being able to solidly budget for our party. My boys can really eat so feeding them with a fixed cost gives Mom peace of mind

We just drove by the other day and it looks cool!!! (But small) I'm sure it was just what we could see. I can't wait to hear how it is.

Thanks so much for your help! I'm thinking you're right, I researched it and it looks like we won't eat enough or more realistically, we will likely just not eat the way they expect you to for the plan to work for us. We are more of an, order many snacks vs eat one large meal each. Think tapas lol. Can't wait to show everyone pictures :)
