Email for Moonlight Magic @ AK?

I have a two night DVC stay at Boardwalk, followed by an RCI exchange into Saratoga Springs in mid-March. Our moonlight magic night falls into the SSR portion of the trip, so I'm fully expecting to have to call to make my reservation, and probably explain to the CM *why* I had to call (since some were being told that they must use the invitation-only link for the MK event). Unless, of course, they've fixed this. But I'm not hopeful.

Mab2012, I had an RCI exchange during the MK event and it wasn't considered an on-site reservation. I think because no money was actually paid (to Disney) for the reservation. I had to call when it opened for off-site members and even then they made a big deal about making an "exception," which it wasn't. It did work out okay and we got to go -fantastic by the way, so it should for you as well. You might have to call though.[/QUOTE]

I'm another that has an RCI exchange and I got an email from DVC today with the sign up link for AK! Maybe they actually ironed out some of the kinks.

That is the link. It brings up the same page as the one in my email. This just might work people!

Thank you!
Do you have a dvc reservation for the event? I’m curious if the system can recognize DVC bookings versus Resort bookings? Already planning for the September event myself and testing a theory.

I do. I check into AKL on May 16.

We are attending the April AK event. Is tomorrow the sign up for all the AK events?
Nevermind. I just clicked onto the May calendar and it says sign up is tomorrow also. That explains a lot. Perhaps it would be wiser to separate the sign up dates for each of the separate event dates. Geez.

So I know you cannot cancel your DVC reservation without losing your event reservation too. But what happens if we modify the DVC reservation to another location? Has anybody done this successfully?

Yes. I have done this for a past moonlight magic. I had a reservation booked for a resort and used that to sign up for the event. Then at a later date the resort I wanted opened up and I changed it and it did not affect my moonlight magic reservation.

Glad to hear. I will definitely keep stalking the RAT in that case. Thanks!

Clicked on link @ 8:58 and got right in, reservation process was a breeze. I had my reservation open and copied and pasted the reservation number to make sure I didn't make any errors, did the same with my member number. Hope everyone has as smooth a process as I did.

Those if you getting that it's invalid, are you booked on DVC points or through other options? Mine is an RCI exchange at Saratoga. Just wondering if it's people not on DVC points getting errors. Is that what happened with MK? I really don't want to have to call (I'm at work) but will if I have to.
