I love credit cards so much!

I remember that. Only since we don't have plans is why I'd consider rolling the dice

I can't find the original post where you were talking about this, so I am not sure of your reasoning to switch dates. I switch ours around quite a bit at different times on different cards. Just the other day on one of these calls they said they can switch it and it will take effect as long as it is over 30 days out. So today is the 17th. If I switched the closing date to a date before the 17th of the month like say the 14th, it wouldn't close until the 14th of Jan because the 14th of Dec is less than 30 days. If I wanted to switch it to a date after the 17th, like the 20th, it would close the 20th of Dec because that is further away than 30 days.

The other day I called on a few of our cards and switched the close date to the 7th of the month, but I called after Nov 7th (just coincidentally, I didn't realize the exact policy). So I actually now have quite a few cards that aren't closing between now and Jan 7th. Which is great for me as an added bonus because they are business cards and will have a lot of charges that I am happy not to pay anytime soon, but not what I set out to achieve when I called - I just wanted the statement close date on my new cards to line up with my other ones!

This was Amex (BGR and BB) though, so I am not sure if they all work the same or not?

You can move up the statement close date to get the points to post earlier with Chase. You need to give it 7-10 days for their system to update and must carry a balance. I did this back in August. I moved my statement close date up two weeks. It also is important that you owe money on the card when the statement closes.

Oh ok, my advice earlier must have just been applicable for Amex. Not helpful in this situation then! Thanks!

Just booked the new Hyatt Place in Moab for a couple nights over Thanksgiving. Transfer of UR’s to World of Hyatt was instantaneous. I had hoped to stay at one of the Marriotts and use my $300 travel credit on the SPG Lux but the cost was a little crazy especially since would need two rooms as they only slept 4. Maybe I will just figure it out and get a gift card with it. (That works right?)

At any rate I am back to loving UR’s especially in regard to Hyatt. And now to break it to my mother in law that while we see them almost every day they won’t be seeing our family of 5 on Thanksgiving. :)

Thanks. I saw the Chase offers I've been wanting to see on the app. It finally worked again. Guess I just have to be up early or so...:badpc:
Wow, are they hard to read on my iPhone! I might give StitchFix another try since I have an offer with them. Now to figure out how to track all of these offers between AmEx and Chase.

We’re using Budget’s FastBreak for the 1st time at MCO next week. Can we just go out to the garage and select our car or do we have to go the counter first? It will be after 1 am so we’ll be anxious to get on the road and to the hotel to sleep.

Got an email from Amex:

We want to let you know that the Cardmember Agreement we sent to you as part of your most recent product change didn't have the correct Annual Membership Fee included. We're sorry for this error and any confusion it may have caused.

The correct Annual Membership Fee is provided below.
Annual Membership Fee $0 for the first year, then $195
Does that mean it won't be the increased fee for the second year after all? I got my Gold card before they did the change over and then I upgraded to the rose gold with the understanding that my second year fee with the higher $250 fee.

I got the same email, and that's my understanding. I got the Gold card right before the change over too and was told by Amex reps that the second year fee would still be $195. It will be $250 for every year after that though.

Moab???/ jealous..... I wish I had known of this option back when we visited rather than that awful cabin and campground we stayed at....next time

It just opened last month and is brand new! Only 8000 points a night for two queen beds and sofa bed. It sounds like it is closer to Arches rather than in town but that works for us. I am super excited.

I think you might need to complete your check in online. But then yes, out to the lot. There's a booth out there that you'll stop at. Since you're arriving so late, your paperwork might be hanging on the wall telling you where to find your car.

Just a reminder to anyone who flies Delta...I'm really good at checking MY flights for changes on Saturdays or Sundays (DL changes schedules predictably on Saturdays) but I forgot that Mom and DD have separate bookings for their return home in July from MUC. Thank goodness I caught DL's change giving them 57 min  in ATL to deplane, go through immigration (yes, they have GE but plulease!), claim bags, recheck bags, go through security and then get to their departure gate. Spent almost 20 minutes with csr but they are rebooked to a later flight and will be able to leisurely move through the terminal. Whew! Since I'll be in Krakow I wouldn't be able to assist very much if they had had to reschedule.

I also realized I had two reservations at the Hilton ORD so cancelled one. That would have been a really dumb mistake :o

I picked up a couple of the Kroger gift card offers today. $50 worth of Petco cards and $50 worth of Ulta cards, one of which I’ll use for a Christmas gift for my niece. Paid $85 for them and earned 400 in fuel points. I put those on my new CIU. I also had the 15% back at grocery stores on DH’s Delta Amex and we spent enough in groceries for thanksgiving to hit the $10 max for that. And finally, hit up Costco too and, even though I misplaced my CF, my Costco now takes Apple Pay and I had the card on my phone.

Phew... burning up the credit cards today. Time to go home and put all these groceries away :faint:

Awesome. I’ve already checked in on Marriott for our stay and put our arrival at 2 am. But I’m also going to call so they don’t give our room away. We would not be happy campers.

Oooh I forgot the 15% Amex offer. Theres lots of good ones! Petco, happy cards, kohls for me :) might find a use for some others too. Plus I'll get ebay and StubHub too. Give me all of the 4x fuel points! If they dont gave a coupon, I plan to buy them online with my CIP fpr 3x points.

When did you actually talk to them? I just did it today. Just wondering about how long it will take.
I haven't called in yet this year, but plan to today. Last year they mailed the gift card to me and it was so long I had forgotten about it. Weeks. But people are now saying they have been told it would via email.

Where exactly are the Chase offers? Is it just the percent off gift cards?
If you are in the app, I clicked on CSR and they are all the way on the bottom. They were similar to AmEx. $5 off StitchFix, 10% off at Ruby Tuesday, 10% PBKids, etc. You just click on it and it gets added. Our Marriott cards only had 3 or 4 offers on them while my CSR had probably 20 or so.
