Have I lost my mind? Back to the Future ride question

Thanks for the replies you guys, I'm really second guessing myself here...I was hoping my memory was correct about the year, but I KNOW it was correct about experiencing the ride. I appreciate your helping with it - I never doubt the people on this board!

Have I lost my mind? Back to the Future ride question

Listen, I could SWEAR that I rode the Back to the Future attraction when I visited Universal Studios Orlando the summer after I graduated high school, which was 1990. I remember the holding room, the DeLorean ride cars, and looking to the right and seeing other ride vehicles in the theater. I...

    Universal First-Timer and Feeling Overwhelmed

Just one quick thing you might not know about: As mentioned above, The Hulk (IOA) and Rip Ride Rockit (US) require you to put ALL your items in a locker, and that means EVERYTHING out of your pockets, too. You'll go through a metal detector before entering the actual line. The lockers are...

Sell me on Frozen Ever After

I can't come up with any reason for you to do it other than to satisfy curiosity and/or compare the old to the new. I've ridden it maybe three times and each time I do, I wonder why I wasted so much of my Epcot day for something with very little payoff. Now if I had a little girl who LOVED the...

Ride Chicken looking for ride advice

No problem! It is a fantastic attraction and so much fun, I would hate for any Harry Potter lover to miss out! I tried watching a POV video to nail it down for you, but they're really grainy...the best I can tell, wait about 3 seconds after Hermione says, "Watch out for the whomping willow!"...

Ride Chicken looking for ride advice

If you are sitting in the front car, in the very front, you can see where the track dips when you're tilted, which made it waaaaay less scary for me...it really IS a very small drop. If you're sitting in the back, all you see is a black hole...super intimidating!

Ride Chicken looking for ride advice

They are definitely prominent in the ride, but just for one section. It's immediately following the part where the dragon blows steam on the bench...the robotic arm swoops you into the next "scene" and there is a spider animatronic first thing. This whole section is filled with "webs" and...

Ride Chicken looking for ride advice

I used to feel the same way you do, but I have slowly (over years) worked my way up to doing all of the coaster type rides at Universal (I've only done the Jurassic Park water ride, because I don't like getting drenched)...this year I even rode Rip Ride Rocket for the first time! I will say...

Disney's CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT Information & Questions

Weird question: Will you be able to ride the Skyliner just to ride it? I mean, no entry into the park, just experience the Skyliner.

    Rock n Roller coaster launch

The anticipation is the problem...the actual launch just lasts seconds, so it really is over quickly and isn't bad. I recommend asking to sit in the very front car, it lessens the shock factor for me. I've learned to love the coaster, after intensely disliking it the first couple of times I...

    "Official" 2019 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - A Frightfully Festive Celebration

Thank you for posting this, I have cancelled my reservation because this is unacceptable...my son is peanut/tree nut and I won't pay that much money for something that isn't edible.

    "Official" 2019 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - A Frightfully Festive Celebration

On the off chance someone will know the answer to a very specific question: Can anyone tell me if the cheeseburger egg rolls at the dessert party are peanut/tree nut free? I know they will tell me then what's safe to eat, but I hoped someone on here has had to ask before and can give me a...

So after 9/30 where can I find Edna?

I haven't seen anything mentioning a meet with her at the MNSSHP, but there's always a possibility. We'll know more about the character meets after the first party takes place on August 15 and people start reporting back.

So after 9/30 where can I find Edna?

I hope she'll still be meeting somewhere, but I have seen that this year she'll be in the Mickey's No So Scary Halloween Party parade...so if you just need to "see" and not "meet", there's that!

    "Official" 2019 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - A Frightfully Festive Celebration

My husband was able to get a turkey leg at Gaston's Tavern last year during the party, but I think it might not always be available there...don't ask me why!

One day in MK in October

Considering that this is Columbus Day weekend, I would definitely try to go as early as possible in the morning to MK. I wouldn't do the park hopper to Epcot for the second half of the day on the party day because it's Food & Wine Festival and the afternoon/evening in World Showcase is...

    "Official" 2019 Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - A Frightfully Festive Celebration

Okay, I'm considering the dessert party for the first time EVER...does anyone have any experience doing one of these with food allergies? My son has peanut/tree nut allergies and I don't know if the price is worth it if he isn't going to get much to eat. TIA!

    3 to a car

I'd say no on the Haunted Mansion and Under the Sea. My family of three is very uncomfortable, but we've done it. Our sizes: DH - 6' and 220, DS - 6' and 130, Me - 5'6" and 170.

    Special Occasions

When I asked this question about my son celebrating his 16th birthday at Universal, someone mentioned stopping by the Mystic Fountain (Islands of Adventure)...it "performs" a few times a day. We did this and the Fountain sang "Happy Birthday" and did his waterworks show, I videoed the whole...

    October visit

Early October weather in Orlando is hard to pin down - it's hurricane season, so that can affect your rain chances quite a bit even though you won't be on the coast. We buy several "dollar store" ponchos, carry one for each of us in our pocket (they're very thin and cheap) and pull those out if...
