I read this article this morning and I was looking for a comment section but didn't see one. It was a ridiculous article. The only thing that ran true was that the ads for DCL (and every other cruise line and hotel in the world) show the ship/resort in the least crowded, best light, which makes sense from a marketing perspective. SHOCKING!
Hey guess what, when they show pictures of the bathrooms they flush the toilets first - how dare they!!
I don't think it is a misrepresentation on DCL's part per se, but the funny thing is that the author then goes on to misrepresent things. The pirate buffet, they didn't show the actual food but the food sculpture, implying there is nothing to eat. Trust me, plenty of food on the buffets at DCl and all other cruise lines. And I agree with previous poster that they show a room with and without bunk beds, but make the 2nd picture look like it is a tiny room with only bunk beds, when it is the same room with a closeup of the bunk beds. Ridiculous.
I actually thought the shot of Castaway Cay didn't look that crowded.
And other cruise ships are docking in port too? WTH, how is that a Disney issue, or any issue at all? Breaking news- there are other people in the world?? So stupid!
Yahoo doesn't really do their own articles, they just link you to other places, and I think this was some sort of business magazine. It really did feel like some sort of presentation my 9th grader would do for a class project - but he has been on DCL for 9 cruises and loves it, so he would do a better job!!
