I can do without the Catheter, Thank You very much.:rotfl: :rotfl:

I remember when they put mine in prior to my Quadruple. It's a funny story. I had the okay from the anesthesiologist to have it done after induction, but the nurses kept bugging me about it, so.......The male nurse that had the duty that day looked like Lurch, or Herman Munster. I put it off until shift change. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I was lucky to be last case. I was originally scheduled as first case, but they kept having emergencies, so I was 7th and last. I suspect it may have had something to do with Lurch....:rotfl2: :rotfl2: (jk). Angie was laughing at me. How insensitive huh?

:lmao: :lmao: Angie was also laughing at you when you were doing the Tim Conway Old Man walk down the hospital hallway with your hospital gown flapping and your rearend waving to the world too!! :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: You are just too much fun to be with!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Saw quite a few views like that during my training!!!:lmao:

ok that is great. I have to remember to tell Molly to use that in her future life :lmao:

My kids watch much older movies too, I'd like to join the Bad Mama Club, or perhaps that is just a badge to earn in the Bad Girls Club???:lmao: :rolleyes1

Bad Mom's are okay. At least you aren't 'Negligent Mothers'.

Hello!

We are coming from Australia for this cruise - myself, my husband and our little girl (almost 7 at time of cruise). We are also staying for a week beforehand at CR and for a week at the end at the Hyatt - great minds think alike!!

We are also repeat cruisers - we did a 4 day Wonder, and can't wait to be on the Magic for 15 days!!!

I am SO jealous of your cat 3 room - we dont know our room yet - only cat4 GTY - heres hoping its not the worst room on the deck!!

Would love to arrange for our girls to meet, and maybe go to kids club sometimes?

As we are getting married all over again on the cruise, we were able to book at 105 days (like you lucky suite people!!), and we also had some trouble getting bookings (couldn't always get the time we wanted).

Not long now!!!!

Leanne
:cheer2::cool1: :woohoo:

Hi Leanne:

We renewed our vows after 25 years in December 2006. Disney Cruise Lines did a wonderful job of making the occasion very special. The cake, flowers, music, ceremony, photography, supper, everything was absolutely beautiful. We would love to do it all over again because it was so nice.

That would be great if our girls could meet and go to the club together. They would really like that.

We gave up room 8044 great location when we upgraded to cat 3 so that room might be available. We were beside that room in December 2006.

See you soon.

Or a swimsuit model in :scared1: a Lime Green Speedo!!! (oh where is that picture???? :lmao:

Ouch ! That is just Wrong. Or at least in my case it would be wrong.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I wore a Speedo at Castaway Cay on the last cruise. However, it was a boxer style swimsuit. The first and last time I ever wore a Speedo was in 1965, at the Santa Ana College pool. I was in a PE swimming class, and they ran out of the old grey, jockey style, yuck trunks. So three of us guys had to wear the swim team trunks. They were red and white striped speedos. I wasn't any speedier however. And it was ugly then, and would be worse now. :lmao: :lmao: AT least back then I was, how we say, slimmer.
(Downright skinny).

Ooooh!! I LOVE the music to that show. The show was great ... but I LOVE the music. The kids and I just saw it in January

(perhaps not-so) Interesting "Wicked" facts about Karen ...

#1 Some of my fondest memories (100% relaxation) of our Nov/Dec MAGICal cruise was spending hours on Deck 4 listening to Wicked and sipping iced tea (or Bahama Mamas) and watching the waves go by. My mantra each midday was "find me on Deck 4".

#2 The soundtrack is what I am currently listening to as my "workout" music.:
-The Wizard and I ... when Elfaba dreams of bring respected
-Defying Gravity ... when Elfaba makes an important (internal) decision
-For Good ... conclusion (don't want to give anything away)
Each song is @ 5 minutes (which is about what it takes me to walk 1/4 mile and burn 30 calories ... or so my treadmill says!!). I listen to each twice and then move on to Thank Goodness and Popular and Loathing (Glinda's songs) and then finish up with one from the start ... voila 2+ miles walked / 250+ calories burned. I am doing this twice a day minimum (all I can fit in most weekdays/schooldays). BUT last night my entire family was asleep by 10pm, so I walked 5.5 miles. The dog just stared at me the entire time (she probably thinks I am crazy).

Okay ... way more than you cared to know about me and Wicked.

Happy Sunday ... time to catch up on all your posts!!

When I was on the DVC member cruise in October, 2007, Eden Espinoza was one of the performers for "Belles on Broadway" night. I didn't know at the time, but our friends Tony and Adrienne (who will be on the PC cruise) knew her from when she worked at DL in California and said she was currently playing Elfaba in Wicked in LA. Well, she was so incredible on the Wonder during that cruise, that I just had to go see her in Wicked. And besides, I had never seen Wicked before, so it enticed me to go. Anyway, I had to be out in LA on business November 9th, so I went on line and got tickets for me and a colleague from work. Then I emailed Tony and told him we were going to Wicked and where our seats were. Well, ten minutes later he emailed me back and said he had bought tickets for he and Adrienne too and they were sitting right next to us and did we want a ride! Well, needless to say, we landed at Orange County, went over to The Charming Shoppe in Orange (Adrienne's store) and then popped over to our hotel in Anaheim and then they picked us up and off we went. It was such an incredible show. I would talk you all into going to see Eden, but she ended her run with the show on December 31st. However, I am sure the new Elfaba is equally as good.

I am now reading the book. Taking me a little time to read though, because I have to concentrate when I read (unlike romance novels! :rotfl: )

Okay, back to catching up on the boards.

She is a pretty & talented girl. Nice to be proud mama :thumbsup2

update: I showed her pic to Molly, oh my, she is very excited to meet Jamie. Is she up for having a fan club on board???

Thanks! We are proud of her.

Jamie is not coming on the PC cruise, still in school and won't give up two weeks to spend with mom. Friends rank higher on the social list these days......

Hello Everyone:

Not sure if I have posted on here for this cruise or not but wanted to say hello. As the date gets closer it seems to be coming more of a reality. We have cruised with DCL already and are so excited to be doing the Panama Canal cruise. There are five of us going on this cruise. Myself, my husband and our three little girls (almost 7, 9 and 11 years old). They would be very interested in writing to other girls their own age if anyone out there is interested.

Unfortunately, I haven't read very many of the posts on this board. Not sure if there has been a discussion about the possible movies playing or not but we are interested in hearing if anyone knows what might be playing.

We got a call from DCL this past week asking if we were still interested in a category 3 room. We jumped at the opportunity. When we booked we could only get a category 4 room but really wanted a category 3. In December 2006, we did two back to back cruises. We had a category 3 for the first ten days of the holiday cruise and then had to switch to a category 4 for the next four day cruise due to availability. There was such a difference between those two rooms.

We have booked our shore excursions; however, the sea lion encounter is full so we could only get four of the five of us into that one. Sure hope another spot comes available.

Not sure of all the plans everyone has for this cruise but upon taking a quick scan of the postings it looks like there is a lot planned.

Take care and see you soon. We leave in three months today. We have rented a house in Florida for one week prior to the cruise and a room at the Grand Californian for one week after the cruise.

Yes, Welcome aboard!

we are watching Benchwarmers...and eating breakfast! Lazy day----it is gorgeous though!

Benchwarmers sounds better than Fairy Godparents that has been going NONE stop all morning!

Have you guys heard about the RCCL charter that Nick did? I thought my kids where crazy when they said there was a Nick Ship! I guess it is for this summer.

How is Holly coming along with coming on the cruise? I am SOOO behind. I keep trying, but last night after I got through about 50 pages, had my posts all set - I fell asleep on the computer! DH woke me up and I was too tired to press send....

I can't recall if I posted about the Playhouse Live show we saw yesterday. The kids loved it, although I found the shows on the cruise much better.

Will we (I speak optimistically :goodvibes ) have different shows for the longer cruise? Do they do special shows?

Also, any word on the entertainment yet for this cruise? I wonder if they got anyone...I didn't hear back regarding Cat. 1 so I imagine whoever got it, kept it.

I sure wonder what happened to Noel...

Thanks! We are proud of her.

being Jamie's mom makes you a star too. It would be cool if you brought pics of her for the little girlies. :goodvibes

working on the Lanyard list again today and I have info on some of the newbees.

Which Lisa is now the holder of the list? I want to send you mine when I'm done so you have this new data.

Nan

Being near relatives was a very good idea. I remember when National was one of the only Naturopathic Schools around. My dream at one time, back in the early 70's, was to be able to start a Wholistic Medical Clinic, staffed by practitioners of all of the Schools of Medical Science. I think there are some of those around now. Drugs are 'way' overused nowadays. (Just my humble opinion). Every method has its value, and using the right approach to a problem would improve Medicine greatly. The first Chiropractor I ever went to asked me why I was there, since I was a Pharmacist. I was a little puzzled by the question, but told him, "Because it works". He had solved my DD's Scoliosis problem very easily, and that made me a believer. The Ortho Doc said it would require a year in a body cast and about 10,000 dollars. YIKES. This was in the mid 80's. Our Chiropractor fixed her in about 10 visits. The California Schools, fortunately, screen all Jr. High kids for this problem, and reported it to us. An acupuncturist was the only provider to fix my Dad's Cancer pain. Worked better than all of those Fentanyl Patches. And, I have used homeopathics with amazing results.

I have done compounding, but that is rare nowadays in a traditional setting. I used to LOVE that part of Pharmacy, and I miss it. In the Community Pharmacies that I fill in for, there is no longer any time for Cmpounding, except for easy, common items, so most things are contracted out to Pharmacies like my "boss's". His Pharmacy is in Corvallis,
and I rarely get down there to the office.

I know which T3 you are referring to. Those prescriptions are rare for us, and usually outsourced. When we do receive a prescription for T3, some Techs have mistaken it for Tylenol 3, so we have to be vey careful. triiodothyronine, written out, would be a better way to write, but it takes too long. ;)

Relatives were good...and if I went to National I never would have met my fab hubby:lovestruc I tried for a long time to have more of a complete health care center...but to date I don't have an MD in the practice. I have myself, 3 massage therapists, craniosacral therapist, psychologist, NLP practioner and soon to have IV therapy RN. Close, but not quite complete yet.

Well said! I agree with everything:thumbsup2 There is a time and a place for all types of medicines in my mind...now if the gov't would just realize this...our health care crisis would be so much more under control!:confused3

I probably do need to write something else with the T3 prescriptions, but up until 2 weeks ago I didn't have a DEA # so it didn't really matter. Now I guess I do need to write it all out:upsidedow

As far as a team to play for, I am fickle. Yeras ago, the RAMS, now the 'Hawks. My DD would never forgive me if I said any other team. She has a Seahawk tatooed on her ankle. :rotfl:

phew, at least you would play for the right team!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: My girls are going to be Jr. SeaGals this year (we hope) and they get to cheer at the second preseason game!

That would be Liserann.

Will you cut that out!

We think you guys do great. How many other dads sit on the floor at AKL and do crayon rubbings with their girls for hours?

Your girls are going to be just fine, because both of you are good people. The most important thing you teach is the example you set.

Well said John...Amen!

Hey Linda,

Yes Eden was fabulous!! The new gal is Caissie Levy and she is also great!! And, of course Megan Hilty is both hilarious and touching as Glinda. :lovestruc

How funny ... I am also reading the book. Okay, I didn't mention it originally, but I began the book on Deck 4 in Nov/Dec and got about 2/3 done (but since I have been home I have only read 1 chapter ... have very little free time and any moment I have available I am either DISing with all of you or on the treadmill). For all you Moms out there, be forwarned that the book is not for children (IMO), since it deals graphically (a bit) with sex, and is very much about adult themes of racism and politics. I like the book, buy am not pushing my girls to read it. The show on the other hand is FUN for all ages!!.

The first and last time I ever wore a Speedo was in 1965, at the Santa Ana College pool.

Where do you live?? We were just at Santa Ana College (Tessman Planetarium) for a "field trip" Friday.
