Liesa, if you are even half as funny in person as you are on the boards, of course!
And I went with a really sparkly gold. They make me giggle!
Too funny! Seriously though, I am so relieved to hear that you will be writing a TR. I want to hear all about the wonderful things you do and how perfect everything is. (even if/when it isn't)
So what are your plans for the week? The week before I left I had a day to day list of things to do. Not so much because I needed to accomplish things, but because I needed something to distract me.
I remember your list!
Aside from needing to add in a few things we are still wearing, we are mostly packed. My husband even cooperated yeseterday and got his summer stuff...only to discover he didn't have much and the man who never goes shopping had to go shopping!
Let's just say he will blend in perfectly at 'Ohana!
It appears that it is going to be considerable warmer this year than last, so I was able to pack most of our stuff in advance. Fingers crossed! At least until the end of the week, when its supposed to rain!
Oh well, hopefully the periods of rain will be relatively short.
It is times like this when I'm thankful for working a job that's so all-consuming and takes up anywhere from ten to twelve hours everyday!
It makes things go by much faster!
This week I need to finish printing and organizing all my planning info... I am printing cards with our ADR info and the Ridemax info on them, in addition to the spreadsheet, my plane itinerary, and everything else. Making the cards has become quite a little project. I also need to finish putting together some gifts for my big Dismeet!
Then, Thursday evening I have an appointment with a new hairdresser who comes highly recommended by my aunt, who has nice hair and has been going to this woman for a long time. It also helps that this new hairdresser has hair that looks quite similar to the hair I want!
I have been going to same place for years, and only been somewhat satisfied with the results. My former hairdresser was sort of not with it, in terms of pop culture, so when I would try and explain what I wanted, she sometimes seemed to not have a clue. Weird, right? I also highlight my hair, which is really pricey, and for that money, I should be over the moon happy with the results.
On Friday, we get out early, which for my school means that we're done at 2:30 and can actually leave at that time. I'll do whatever last minute errands I need to do and then come home and make sure everything is set and pack up the car. We'll also need to drop our dog off at my husband's sister's house, who has graciously offered to take her for the week!
Otherwise, we'd have to board her, so she saved us a ton of money!
Did you have a waterview last year? I asked Kathy and she told me to go for the Standard view and we got upgraded to a "double" water view - corner room with view of the quiet pool AND the lake! Speak of getting me hooked - I HAD TO book that waterview this year!
And checking in early is the reason we are staying offsite for the first night. We would only arrive around 10pm and I bet there's not much available at that time of year. So we are "pushing our luck" a bit by checking in early, around 11.30am the next morning!
It would be neat if we were in the same building!
And I bet she finishes HER trip report faster than I will finish mine!
Yes, we did have a waterview last year. We booked that, too. We were in Casitas Four, on the first floor, and you were facing the lake as soon as you stepped out our door. For last year's trip, especially given the weather, it was the perfect location! It took two seconds to walk over to Bus Stop 2. And we got massages, so we used the fitness center...sort of.
It also makes sense to stay off-site that night since you're probably spending half of what a night on-stie costs and you will probably only be sleeping.
And it would be so cool if we were in the same building, or at least the same section.
My mom and our reservations are supposedly "linked," at least that's what the CM said when I made her reservation. So, we'll see how that goes. She checks in two days after we do, so who knows? I'm going to try and impress upon her that she should at least ask to be moved closer to us, if she isn't already put there. She is also checking in early, so she might have some good luck.
Hey..you know where we'll be in seven days???? At our breakfast!
