It's a general response to prior comments about line cutting. What lines are you referring to? Other then the aqua duck I don’t recall any lines for anything.

Oh my gosh, this happens to us every cruise. There really should be a sign up in Cabanas that there is no single line for the buffet and it's ok to hop around. I'm so tired of dirty looks from people. I'm not at all confrontational so I let people go ahead of me just to diffuse the situation.Talking Cabanas, that's when the less informed, " rules police" tell you off incorrectly, when you jump stations at Cabanas but someone thinks you must stay in line like topsiders. Even when CMs say you do not need to stay in line.
I have had the " rules police" tell me or my family not to jump the queue, they seem to know more than the staff, and get very annoyed.
As mentioned before, some cruisers feel empowered to take items of pool chairs when children are in the pool, dumping their stuff, once in the dirty towel bin, or controlling the adults only area rather than staff.

I don't like the new set up and preferred the line buffet.
I just got off the Fantasy on Sat and I witnessed some pretty shocking behaviour on the last night of the cruise. There was an after dinner event with Magic Dave aimed at little kids in the D lounge and I was sitting near the back doors while my little one was up on the floor. There was some big guy pacing around fuming and making hand gestures to another man who was sitting on the other side of the room (with the kids in the middle) He was telling his wife he was going to fight this guy and then he complains to staff that this guy got in front of his kid or something. Just fuming - so made he walks right into a lady in the hall and spills his coffee all over her and then berates her. Crazy how people get so worked up and forget its about the kids.

I am SO glad to know I'm not the only person that liked the old bit better. Even though I am observant enough to see some of the upsides to the new Cabanas setup, I find it SUPER chaotic if it's at all busy. People are crisscrossing back and forth and the stations force one to wander for some time through the crowds to even know what's what and where. JMHO.....
People are sheep and they see a line and get in it.
I guess the upside is that you can see all the options before you choose what you'd like to eat. But, it can be chaotic at times.
SO funny, but quite true. I was flying out of MCO recently and the Starbucks on the "B" concourse is RIGHT immediately as one steps out of the train station and of course, it had a LONG line. Biggest problem was that the line was extending straight out in a "normal" line up sort of way which was causing there to be a blockade of people obstructing those folks getting off of the tram. And we all know at Orlando Int'l, that generally a train full of people at a time. Problem? YES. So I lined up and asked the last few folks in front of me if they would mind stepping a few feet to the left so that we could curve the line OUT OF THE WAY. Fortunately they were nice, (as I was in asking! ), and we got that problem line squirreled out of the way! It really is funny how we humans will just get in line without fully noting what is going on. I've surely been guilty myself.
Yes, that is definitely one of the positives to the current setup. I suppose the bottom line is that when trying to feed that many folks all at once, there IS no perfect setup, is there?
OMG, I see this happening all the time and have said the same thing. I don't understand how all of these seemingly normal people can't figure this out themselves. It is like most people are completely oblivious to everything else around them. Pay attention! LOL
I think DCL needs to do a better job of telling people not to line up like that and that you just got to the station that you actually want food in. Maybe with the new ships they can figure out how to set it up better to make it obvious.
It is much better to have a smaller line at each of the pods then one huge line waiting for just a few stations. Let's face it, how many people get food at every single station? It definitely would work better if people actually did this instead some lining up at the end and some going to certain stations. One my first Disney cruise I got to the show super early, was the first person in line outside the door. I wanted to have a close to the front directly in the middle seat so planned accordingly. So I get inside and sit down and then this lady tells me I need to move over three seats her whole family can't fit in the row with me in my spot. There were like 10 people in the place at the moment and the entire row behind us was completely empty. I told her how I got here early to be completely centered and didn't want to move. She threw a fit and went into the row behind me, complained loudly about me the entire show. Oh and she was saving 18 spots and was the only person there. Half her family arrived after the show had already started and her kids complained loudly of being bored and wanted to leave through the entire production.
OMG that sounds awful! lol I am really happy she didn't think of doing that. It was the first of the three Disney shows and I was so excited. The Adult club host didn't like her much. He called her out a few times for her rude behavior it was pretty funny. I don't think many stand up to her, she was pretty shocked when I refused to move. You were completely in the right, and she should be ashamed of herself, but you actually got lucky that she wasn't thinking faster on her feet. As annoying as it must have been to have them sitting behind you complaining, she could have REALLY made you suffer. She could have had her 18 family members sit on both sides of you, talking over you, passing things back and forth, maybe even the youngest two on either side of you.
I'm glad she didn't think of that! Again, I'm very sorry for your experience. I hope you still got to enjoy the show!
