We were told (early in our cruising career) that most times the crew members don't really appreciate the $2 bills. Apparently (at least at that time) there were many foreign banks/merchants who think they're "funny money" and won't accept them.
A side note: we always take down all the hangers from the closet so we don't have to hear them rattling all night if/when the ship gets a bit rocky
I have a small bag of "essentials" that I take on every single trip, cruise or otherwise. It includes a small travel alarm clock so I don't have to guess about resetting the room clock; a small flashlight in case there is a power failure or I need to move around the room at night while DW is sleeping; a small repair kit containing a sewing kit, duct tape, some zip ties, and a small multitool (made for keychains); and a small med kit containing OTC pain meds, bandaids, and moleskin. I throw in a wine opener and Swiss Army knife if I'm checking the bag. I don't need every single item on every trip, but over the last 15 years or so I've used every single item, some more than once.
Where o where did I see it posted that some wipe down airplane trays and the like with sanitizing wipes? I have a question. How do you carry sanitizing wipes on plane? I just ordered the Clorox hydrogen peroxide wipes but the container will be too big. Can I just carry a few in ziplock Baggie and check the bigger container? Will they allow thst? The question sounds dumb even to me, sorry
I have the exact same kit! It has been more handy than I can say, especially the sewing kit, moleskin and duct tape! Mine also includes a small pair of scissors and a tweezer.
Clothes pins to keep the shares closed. BRILLIANT. I hate that crack of light down the middle.Clothes pins. To keep the curtains closed on the window.
Extra paper. For making comments on the comment card.
Personal water bottle. No need to lug a case of bottled water onboard.
Okay, I have to ask...
Verandah club? Is that like the Mile High club?
I bring a large bag of Hershey's miniatures and leave them as "tips" every night for Mousekeeping. Then leave their monetary tip our last day
Small set of sand toys if I can fit it in the luggage! Fun for my girls to have a small bucket & shovel to play all day in the sand at Castaway and any other beach day we do.
Sharpie's for autograph books, ziplock bags are a MUST for keeping things waterproof, solar or battery backup phone charger, battery operated night light for bathroom is needed because it's pitch black in the room at night & leaving 1 light on is way too bright, nail polish remover & polish (paint always chips on beach days!), aloe vera gel for any sunburns, pop up hamper was very useful, lots of pirate gear!! Think go-big-or-go-home on Pirate Night!
LOVE THAT!!!One year we did WDW Halloween night and then got on the cruise. My DH and DD decided to pack full pirate gear that year - tricorn hat, boots, vests, jackets, to wear both at WDW and on Pirate Night. It took up a whole suitcase but the pictures are amazing and one of my favorite souvenirs. That was our last year to do it and I am really glad we did.
Wait, what?! There aren't clocks in the room anymore?! Its been a year since I've been on the Magic but we had a clock.

Like that Disney Cruise commercial, hm?It is an "adults-only experience(s)" making use of the verandah. Please make sure that the children are safely engaged elsewhere, preferably without self-checkout privileges at the club. Be warned, some members have "enjoyed" a permanent souvenir nine-months after their (re)joining.
