We will probably never do the DDP again. We had it for just 4 of us and split the meals between the 5 of us and still had far too much food. It seemed to be such a waste and we certainly consumed much more than we would have. We have used the DDE card with great success. It just fits into our eating habits much better. Our family are not adventurous eaters and the kids prefer a quick meal to having to sit for any length of time which lends itself to counter service. I also like to be able to change our plans on the fly and if we have ADRs that isn't done easily. It was nice to try the DDP once, but we'll stick to DDE. This next trip will be different in that we will have a fully stocked camper to help with meals. We hope to just eat out one meal a day. We will make sure that we have plenty of breakfast items in the camper and lots of crock pot items. That way we will have a nice hot meal waiting for us whenever we get back to the camper. I even have some crock pot dessert recipes. I know that most people prefer not having to cook on vacation, but I've found that with longer trips I crave homemade food and don't want to step foot in a restaurant. That may also have something to do with the fact that I'm in a restaurant so much at home. You'd be surprised at how many nights I opt to not eat at work (even with the amazingly low employee pricing) and come home to make myself a meal. Ok, you can all think I'm strange now ;)
I feel exactly the same way! We saved money over buying the same food out of pocket but I know we would have skipped a few meals if we hadn't already paid for it with the DDP.

How accurate is accuweather.com? Any other sites you all seasoned travelers us? I know you've talked about them but I can't remember what they are. Thanks!
For my most recent trip weather.com was more accurate than accuweather.com

Hey, if Deb can wear Minnie Mouse jeans to Pleasure Island, I can wear a Tom original and twirl down Main Street! Just remember I am a 40 something woman that doesn't like her hiney to show when she twirls. By the way Deb, if you ever see those jeans again, let me know. I want a pair!
Tom will have to make you matching bloomers too.:lmao:

Soo....Bob and I went shopping today...:rolleyes1 and we left with these lovely his and hers items!

Beautiful!!!!!!!

So it seems that I had a little boy and didn't even know it. :lovestruc

My cousin's 10 month old, no matter who has him, the minute he sees me, he reaches for me. I have quickly learned to juggle him and anything I may need to do.
If I pass him off to someone he gives me the saddest look and will lurch for me.

ahhhhhh:lovestruc

I got my most recent ebay purchase today - 100 Disney Trading Pins for $187.50 (that included the shipping). :woohoo: They are very nice pins - no sedesmas or propins. I'm giving 20 each to my niece & nephew and 25 each to Katrina & Becky. The rest are mine (I also have 15-20 already for pin trading). Becky found 8 she wants to keep. I didn't find any that I'll keep.

Joe & I had a wonderful trip! The weather was perfect! We had some very magical moments with a few CM's. Joe LOVED the Hyatt at Logan and he LOVED Pop. We both LOVED, LOVED, LOVED California Grill. I would say Joe had a very magical birthday.

I will upload a few photos and do a trip report.

The parks were a lot more crowded than I expected but the lines actually weren't too bad. There were lots of tour groups. I don't understanding touring the parks in a large group. I have a hard enough time with our party of 5 I can't imagine a group of 30+.

We had some great photopass photos. Let me know if you want the link.

sounds like a lovely mom and son time!!

Welcome Home!!

Got alot done today..I love having off Saturdays!!!!!

I got my hair cut (much needed), got both the girls haircuts, took Sophie to religion, Daniel to Tae Kwon Do, went food shopping, & cooked a turkey.

We are going to have a mini thanksgiving tonite...of course mine will be weight watcher friendly.

I have resigned myself that there is no 40% code waiting for me somewhere.:sad1:
You did get a lot done. How was the turkey?

Since Nicholas is sleeping over at a friend's house, I told Alyssa that she and I could have a sleepover. She is laying here in bed next to me, watching me type, instead of closing her eyes and trying to go to sleep. Perhaps I should put the laptop away.........um, no.

We just watched Toy Story. Katie was calling Sophie "Mrs. Nesbit" all day so I guess it put the idea in our head. I love Toy Story.

Soo....Bob and I went shopping today...:rolleyes1 and we left with these lovely his and hers items!

Beautiful Chanon!!!!!! Hmmm your looks very familiar!:lmao:

Ann Marie-good luck finding a new job-could you collect unemployment?
No, not for part time, but I did find out they are keeping on per diem which means I do get my job back when the store reopens.
Welcome home! Can't wait too hear about your trip. Of course we want to see photopass pix!

You did get a lot done. How was the turkey?
Delish! I had 4 oz. of turkey, 2 tbs cranberry dressing, & steamed brocolli & califlower. Yummy & only 6 points!
Thats so sweet you girls are having a sleepover.

Good night!

Welcome Home Bernadette! Can't wait for photos!

Thanks for the compliments everyone! All we did was go in to get my ring cleaned and inspected. He started looking, got sized and narrowed his down to three then said "let's get this one". Complete shocker that we walked out with them - something I thought we'd wait on for a few more months from now.

Toy Story is my favorite. Anytime I see a frilly apron I think of Mrs. Nesbit.

Who says that I am ingoring them? :confused3

Aren't SSP's suppose to be "secret"?:goodvibes

Now if you agree to go twirling down Main St. U.S.A. in one of my creations, I will get right on it!

Be careful what you ask for. I'm not opposed to making a fool of myself. Would you like that on video?:rolleyes1 I will draw the line at these Mickey's though

I'd like my hiney covered too :thumbsup2 I haven't seen the Minnie jeans again and I've been looking. Disneyshopping does have some styles of adult jeans on clearance for around $11 though. I was considering the Tinkerbell Style. My only comment is that they are very stretchy so do not order a size bigger or they will be too big. I'm even considering a size smaller than I wear :confused3 Maybe that should be my incentive

I am sure there are mickey mouse thongs out there that would make that all work Vicki...

 :lmao:

That is so cute. A child without the pregnancy. It sounds perfect

Have a wonderful trip!!!

Good evening!

Vicki thanks for letting me know you received the check.

Chanon glad your package arrived!

Deb did your card arrive yet?

Robyn, Lucy looks like a doll in her "Tom" original :goodvibes

Kristine the party you have planned sounds like fun!

Jennifer the ballgame looked like a lot of fun, thanks for sharing!

Anne Marie sounds like today was a good day for you. I'm not one of the lucky ones for a code either, so I will pout with you :sad1:

Tia I agree with everyone else, you should be paid. My mother watched our boys when they were little while we worked & I paid her.

Elizabeth glad Princess's party went well!

You all having me cracking up over the Minnie Mouse thong :lmao:

I haven't received it yet, but we are usually a little slow here in smalltownsville usa

I've been watching pin lots myself. We still need some more traders for our trip. Which seller did you use? That is an awesome price.

Welcome Back Bernadette.
