The wave is by far the best breakfast buffet on property in terms of quality, IMHO of course. But it is a request by all 4 of my kids every.single.trip. if that gives you an idea of how good a non character buffet can be :-)

I'm with you OP! It appears that both visits included stops to see other friends, which to me is even more inconsiderate on their part. If they want to include other visits, fine... but do so with some considerable thought to how it will impact your hosts.

If you aren't too particular about color, Amazon often has odd size/color combinations on clearance... you just have to play with the options to see them. But I would highly recommend trying on a few different materials/styles if you can before buying online. They are pretty true to size, but...

The Wave is truly underrated, and also our favorite breakfast on property (my kids would pick this over ANY other breakfast, with or without characters). Kona is good too, but I just think the Wave is far superior in terms of food quality & service.

The food is not American, it is Nordic, and certainly not to everyone's taste. Even the salad bar includes a lot of of items that most Americans wouldn't touch. But if you are an adventurous eater, the food is very good... and the princess interaction can't be beat!

I did two receptions... cake and punch for all at my parents church (family, friends, kids, church members, neighbors, etc.) But then limited dinner & dancing to close family and friends. I didn't invite kids to the second reception with the exception of my 16 step sister and 8 year old half...

Bali is fabulous if you get away from the tourists, as is Maui, but I can't see myself living in either place. I could probably be quite content in the Keys though.
