    Help me love Wilderness Lodge

We love the Wilderness! If your in-laws are going to stay at Fort Wilderness than VWL is a great place to stay. In the 10 visits to Disney, we met family twice. We were always at different resorts and it made it hard to meet up with one another. The Wilderness has so much to offer...

    Any advice would be helpful

We go every year in January. The crowd levels are a 10 around New Years. The crowd levels drop after January 2nd. I would vote for Poly. You can enjoy the decorations without the crowds. The Osborne lights are on until Jan. 7th. We talked to a Cast Member last year. The crowds are...

    tips for January 2012 visit?

We have visited DisneyWorld in January the last 8 years. We love staying at the Wilderness Lodge. The boat ride is one of our favorite activities. Depending on the day, it may be a little chilly. However, you are wearing layers so it doesn' t matter. January weather is hit or miss in...

Magical express did not get us home!!

I am so sorry your little one was sick. NOT FUN! Even if there was a misunderstanding, it would have been nice if one of the employees had shown a little concern. Glad you made it home safe.

    Bummed

I would be bummed too. It is difficult to save and then have to use the money for bills. You could put an IOU to your Disney fund for $400, just like a bill. That way you are paying your Disney fund back. When we need to boost our Disney fund, we will eliminate all eating out and extra...

What is the best way you save money at Disney world

*We split meals or we buy one meal and something al carte. This saves money but most importantly to us, it saves our waistline. LOL We usually spend $60 a day eating 3 meals at Disney for a family of 4 (kids 5 & 8). *We only sit down for one meal the entire stay which is usually the...

Are Values Really That Bad for Deluxe People

We have stayed at POP, POR-Riverside, AK, Saratoga, WL-villas, and off-site. We are a family of 4 and sometimes 5 (my mom comes for 5 days and then leaves). This is what we think....We would stay at a Value if the choices were stay home or stay off-site. We like POP. The kids love the theme...

Forum/Budget Board for saving money at Disney?

I love the Disboards and have learned a ton from all the threads. Each year, it seems harder to save and stay on budget while you are at Disney. Is there a topic that is primarily for saving money while you are at Disney? Is there a budget board for only Disney Parks and resorts? Or is...

    DDp vs. not...brainteaser question....

If you are considering eating a TP for most nights, the DDp would save you money. You do have to pay for tax and tip but you would also if you didn't have the plan. One way to check the numbers is to check the menus on allears.net and add up the prices.

I was told FREE dining through December for Visa Holders?

Hi everyone, I first thought it was a Disney Visa Offer but after reading this thread I looked back at my email. The free dining is until 12/17 with some black out dates and indeed it is a PIN offer. Hope this helps clear up the confusion.

    Trying to be cheap..but...

I completely understand your worries about the mug. I have a 3 year old and if everyone had a Mickey mug and she didn't....she would probably feel left out. Luckily for me she likes to drink what I drink...so I would just fill it up with tea and we would both be happy. In addition we always...
